Tenth Layer of Oracle Cave Heaven, Mahayana Realm.
High above the Ferocious Land, a flying vessel soared steadily through the sky.
Yang Ju stood proudly at its bow, his expression content. He felt no pressure about the upcoming task of killing Luo Xiu. Within the confines of Ghost Valley Mountain, he was constrained by the Prohibition of Arms and the two Divine Beasts, leaving him powerless against Luo Xiu.
But once outside of Ghost Valley Mountain, Luo Xiu was nothing more than an ant to him.
My only worry is that he'll run away beforehand.
"Young Master, look!" Xing Rui, who stood to the side, suddenly widened his eyes and pointed into the distance.
Yang Ju focused his gaze and was shocked to find that the vast, continuous expanse of green mountains had vanished as if it had simply evaporated.
"Young Master, how did Ghost Valley Mountain just disappear?"
Yang Ju's eyelids drooped, his expression thoughtful. He was not as alard as Xing Rui. He spoke in a low voice, "It must have been absorbed into so kind of Grotto Heaven treasure. For soone of the Ghost Sword Heavenly Emperor's caliber, such feats are but minor tricks."
Xing Rui suddenly grew worried. "Speaking of which, since that boy has lived on Ghost Valley Mountain his whole life, it's possible he's the Descendant of Ghost Valley."
"Young Master, if we really kill him, could it cause trouble?"
Hearing this, Yang Ju smiled faintly. "It is precisely because he is the Descendant of Ghost Valley that I must kill him. Our enmity is set in stone, with no room for reconciliation. If we let him continue to grow, he will beco our problem in the future."
Xing Rui considered this and felt there was truth to his words. "What the Young Master says is absolutely right."
Yang Ju continued, "Besides, the Ghost Sword Heavenly Emperor and his Nightwatchers disappeared years ago. It's rumored they all died in battle beyond the Cosmic Great Wall in the Dark Land. Moreover, the disciples of Ghost Valley are all defending the Cosmic Great Wall. As long as we do this cleanly, who's to know we were responsible?"
As he was speaking, Yang Ju's expression suddenly grew taut, a sense of foreboding rising in his heart. At the sa ti, the other experts from the Celestial Realm aboard the vessel grew tense.
A terrifying aura was approaching them at an astonishing speed.
Yang Ju flew forward and was stunned to see a Jade Talisman hurtling toward them.
"Star Striking Seal!"
Sensing the fearso power emanating from the talisman, Yang Ju dared not hesitate and imdiately unleashed the Star Striking Seal. However, in a bizarre turn, the Jade Talisman instantly shattered the seal as if it were made of glass.
"What?!"
Yang Ju's eyes widened in horror, and he scrambled to dodge to the side. "Everyone, retreat!"
BOOM! A deafening crash resounded, and the very Sky Do seed to tremble. The Jade Talisman pierced through the remnants of the Star Striking Seal and obliterated the flying vessel in an instant. Fortunately, everyone on board had evacuated in ti, and there were no casualties.
A mont later, Yang Ju stabilized his position in the Void. He glanced at the burning debris of the vessel plumting to the earth, his face darkening to an extre. Suddenly, he looked up, and the corners of his mouth curved into a smile.
"Lowlife, you've finally arrived? I thought you would have run away."
In the sky ahead, a giant black bird was speeding toward them. Before the bird even drew near, a tide of divine might rolled over them, seemingly solidifying the very space around them.
The black bird ca to a stop several dozen ters in front of Yang Ju.
Sitting on its back, Luo Xiu slowly raised his right hand. The Cave Heavens Talisman that had shattered the flying vessel shot out from nowhere, as if summoned, and returned to his grasp.
"As expected, this thing is impressively powerful."
"Hehe! See? Lao Ba told you this thing packed a serious punch!"
Watching the man and bird chat and laugh, Yang Ju's face grew even more somber. It was clear that Luo Xiu and Lao Ba didn't regard him as a threat whatsoever.
"Mortal lowlife, you truly have so nerve."
Luo Xiu put away the Cave Heavens Talisman and looked at Yang Ju with a smirk. "You Heavenly Realm mutt, you've got so guts yourself."
At that mont, a group of cultivators flew behind Yang Ju, forming up to create an intimidating presence.
One of the elders among them bellowed, "Young Master, you summoned us here just to deal with this boy?"
Yang Ju folded his fan and said with a faint smile, "Leave him to . I want to personally make him face reality. As for that Black Gold Crow and the Ghost Wolf hiding sowhere, I'll have to trouble you all with them."
The elder puffed out his chest. "Young Master, rest assured. The Divine Beasts of Ghost Valley may be strong, but our fellow demons here in the Ferocious Land are no slouches either!" With that, the elder's gaze swept over the surrounding Fierce Beasts. "My fellow demons, what cos next will be a challenge. Afterward, I promise Shattered Star City will reward you all generously!"
The Fierce Beasts all nodded, their eagerness palpable. Shattered Star City was a premier superpower in the Celestial Realm. The rewards they offered were more than enough to justify the risk.
Luo Xiu slowly stood up on Lao Ba's back and casually plucked a three-foot-long feather, causing Lao Ba to flinch in pain. "You've brought quite the welcoming party."
Yang Ju smiled. "Seeing you all alone is quite pitiful. To avoid having Shattered Star City accused of bullying the few with the many, I can give you ti to call for reinforcents."
"No need. That won't be necessary."
Yang Ju sneered, "Is it unnecessary, or can you simply not find anyone to call?"
Luo Xiu stepped off the bird and began walking through the Void toward Yang Ju. "Know this: beasts of prey walk alone; only sheep like you flock together."
The corner of Yang Ju's mouth lifted. "Who's the beast and who's the sheep has yet to be seen. In truth, I alone am enough to kill you."
Luo Xiu stopped and shrugged. "I'm going to bring you back to reality."
A powerful aura erupted from Yang Ju. "I'll return those words to you, verbatim. Furthermore, I don't kill the naless. Mortal lowlife, dare you state your na?"
Luo Xiu smiled faintly. "Listen well, Heavenly Realm mutt. My na is Ao Debiao, and my title is 'Asura'. I am the one who will slaughter you like a dog. And I am the one who will one day topple your Shattered Star City."
Upon hearing this, Yang Ju's expression darkened. "You're Ao Debiao? The one on the Ultimate Boundary lting Path?"
"Who else?"
"Hehehe..." Yang Ju suddenly laughed. "Interesting, very interesting... In that case, you have to die even more!"
A peerless genius like Ao Debiao... now that we're enemies, I have to kill him before he can mature! Otherwise, he will beco a disaster for Shattered Star City!
As his thought ended, their eyes t, and sparks seed to crackle in the Void between them.
In a flash, Luo Xiu transford into a bolt of lightning, the Golden Crow Feather in his hand as he slashed forward.
Yang Ju smiled faintly and threw a graceful palm strike. "How boring. Charging straight at like this... are you in that much of a hurry to die?"
The next mont, however, Luo Xiu brushed past him.
A quiet *shink* sounded from behind.
Yang Ju spun around, horrified to see that Xing Rui was now headless. Simultaneously, Luo Xiu had reappeared several dozen ters away.
He held Xing Rui's severed head, eting the dead man's still-open eyes. He spoke calmly, "I rember telling you that after I left the mountain, you would be the first one I'd kill. I am a man of my word."
For a mont, Xing Rui's consciousness lingered, his soul not yet fully dispersed. His eyes filled with resentnt as he stared fixedly at Luo Xiu. "You... will not die a good death... Young Master... avenge ."
Luo Xiu paid him no more mind. His gaze rose to et Yang Ju's. "And I rember saying I'd kill his master, too. So, Young Master Yang, that ans you're next."
With that, he casually tossed Xing Rui's head toward Yang Ju. "But before that, I'll give you ti to grieve. Let your hatred build. It'll make killing you more interesting."
