Divine Oracle Cave Heaven, Twelfth Layer.
South of Sky Divine City.
The Naless Land.
As Lao Ba landed steadily, Luo Xiu couldn't wait to jump off his back and gave a long, lazy stretch.
"Riding on a bird for the better part of the day is pretty tiring. Let's just rest here."
Lao Ba preened his feathers and complained, "Listen to you. I've been flying all day and I'm not tired, but you're tired from just sitting? Maybe you should fly on your own next ti. It's not like you don't have wings."
Luo Xiu replied, "Why fly myself when I have a bird to ride?"
Just then, the man in white ca over to Luo Xiu. With a light wave of his hand, a screen of light materialized in the Void before them. Displayed within the light screen was a map of the twelfth layer.
The man in white said, "We are currently at Thousand Eyes Lake. It will probably take another two days to reach the Immortal Grass Forest."
Luo Xiu stared at the map on the light screen, montarily speechless.
At this mont, Lao Ba craned his neck forward and whined, "Damn it! If there weren't speed limits here, with my top speed, I could cover 108,000 miles in a single sorsault. Why would it take so long to get to the Immortal Grass Forest?"
Black Fatty, lounging nearby, yawned lazily. "If you didn't brag, people might not think you're an idiot."
"Black Dog, are you looking for trouble?"
"Yeah, I am. What are you going to do about it?"
And so, the two fools started bickering again. Luo Xiu, being used to this, simply ignored them.
The man in white acted as if the two fools didn't even exist and asked Luo Xiu, "How much do you know about the Immortal Grass Forest?"
Luo Xiu smiled. "Honestly, not a thing."
"Then going there is a suicide mission for you," the man in white stated.
"Why do you say that?" Luo Xiu asked, surprised.
The man in white explained, "The Immortal Grass Forest is the territory of the Ageless Tribe."
"The so-called Ageless Tribe is actually the Elf Race. Because they can live forever, they call themselves the Ageless Tribe."
"The High Priest of the Ageless Tribe is the Ageless Celestial Emperor. She possesses a Divine Skill known as the 'Decrepitation Curse.' Any human cultivator who sets foot in the Immortal Grass Forest will be subjected to this Divine Skill, rendering them unable to use their cultivation."
Luo Xiu was slightly shocked. "Even soone at the White Emperor Level would be restricted?"
The man in white nodded. "However, the 'Decrepitation Curse's' only weakness is that it's only effective within the boundaries of the Immortal Grass Forest."
Luo Xiu muttered, "A Divine Skill like that is truly terrifying. No wonder they say no one ever returns from the Immortal Grass Forest."
"However," the man in white continued, "the Elves of the Ageless Tribe are naturally kind-hearted. As long as you follow their rules, they won't make things difficult for you."
Luo Xiu nodded, then glanced up at the sky. "Speaking of which, it must be about closing ti. Should we head back now and return tomorrow?"
The man in white said, "There are no closing tis on the twelfth layer. You can stay as long as you like."
"Also, if you leave the Divine Oracle Cave Heaven now, when you return tomorrow, you'll appear at the Teleportation Plaza in Sky Divine City, not here."
Hearing this, Luo Xiu froze for a mont, then ntally consulted Cave Spirit Xiao Yu. Xiao Yu's answer was identical to what the man in white had said.
Feeling this was a huge pain, Luo Xiu said, "Lao Ba, Black Fatty, go find so food. We're resting here tonight."
"You got it!"
A short while later, after Lao Ba and Black Fatty had departed, Luo Xiu hopped onto a large nearby rock. Admiring the splendid lake view before him, he unfastened his pants and began to relieve himself.
The man in white turned his head, saw what was happening, and blushed furiously, quickly averting his gaze.
This pervert... He's utterly shaless! he cursed inwardly.
Just then, Luo Xiu spoke up. "Say, Brother Bai, after sitting on Lao Ba's back for so long, aren't you about to burst?"
"Uh… I… I'll go take care of it over there in a bit."
Luo Xiu looked puzzled. "If you gotta go, you gotta go. Why not join ? We can see who can go farther."
With that, Luo Xiu turned toward the man in white and began to show off proudly.
The man in white caught a glimpse of the massive thing, and his body trembled. He spun around, turning his back to Luo Xiu, veins popping on his forehead. If he could, he would have stord over and beaten the man to death.
He was just too shaless!
"I… I'll go for a walk over there. I've long heard that Thousand Eyes Lake is covered in countless lakes with exceptional scenery," the man in white said, forcing himself to remain calm.
Luo Xiu looked at the man's retreating back and asked, "By the way, Brother Bai, what's your real na?"
"Bai Mo."
"..."
「Night gradually shrouded the earth.」
The Thousand Eyes Lake region contained over two hundred lakes of various sizes. Every night, the aquatic life within them would emit a colorful glow, creating a view that resembled a multicolored, srizing dreamscape.
Bai Mo arrived at a small lake far, far away from Luo Xiu. He just wanted to be as far from that shaless fellow as possible—the farther, the better.
He squatted by the lake, staring at his reflection in the water as he touched his burning cheeks. The image of that obscene thing he had seen earlier seed to have burned itself into his mind, an inescapable shadow.
That pervert… utterly shaless!
He clenched his jaw fiercely, then suddenly let out a long sigh, as if in resignation.
"Forget it. It's not like he knows I'm a woman in disguise," Bai Mo murmured.
Standing up, Bai Mo removed the Jade Pendant from around his neck. As he did, his clothes dissolved into a mist of light. Simultaneously, his hips and chest began to swell, and his silver-white hair grew rapidly, cascading down to his calves, where it floated as if without wind.
A mont later, "he" had beco "she."
This was her true form.
She was the White Demon Empress from the Heavenly Demon Realm.
...
Her lily-white feet stepped onto the smooth stone slabs by the lakeside, and she slowly waded into the clear water. The steam rising from the lake's surface annoyingly obscured the exquisite sight.
Bai Mo stood quietly in the shallow lake, calmly feeling the warmth of the water envelop her. The water rose to her fragrant shoulders, her alluring collarbones peeking through, as her silver tresses spread loosely, drifting in the current and attracting many curious little fish.
However, the instant those curious little fish touched her skin, they mysteriously turned into black ash.
"Sigh."
She let out a soft sigh.
Ever since she could rember, she had been like this—any living creature that touched her would instantly turn to ash. Because of this, the most ordinary of things between living beings, a simple "touch," a simple transfer of warmth, had beco her life's greatest desire.
That was, until she t that mysterious young man not long ago. He had touched her hand yet remained completely unhard. From that mont, that simple, brief contact had seared the young man's image into her mind, making it impossible to forget. It reached the point where she put aside all her duties, manufacturing reasons to stay by his side, just to uncover the secrets he held. Deep down, she even longed to be touched by him again.
SPLASH—!
The loud sound of sothing heavy falling into the water suddenly shattered her long train of thought.
It was Luo Xiu, who had just executed a fancy dive into the lake.
"Brother Bai, you really know how to pick a spot to enjoy yourself! I didn't expect to find a hot spring here."
"Those two are off grilling at, so I'll take a soak first."
