No sooner had Luo Xiu and his group appeared than they were taken away for investigation by several uniford disciples from Purple Rainbow Mountain. Since the Heavenly Azure Empress was due to arrive soon, Purple Rainbow Mountain had naturally tightened security in Purple Rainbow City. Moreover, there had been the recent incident of two female demons looting the Heavenly Azure Guards. At this critical juncture, Purple Rainbow Mountain was on high alert, treating every rustle in the grass as a potential enemy.

"Hey, hey! You young punks, there are so many people here. Why single us out for investigation?" Faced with the interrogation from several Purple Rainbow Mountain disciples, Master Ping was visibly displeased and impatient.
Lao Ba laughed heartily. "Isn't it obvious? It's because you walk with that arrogant swagger, like you own the place. If I were them, I'd investigate you too! You're exactly the sort of arrogant prick they're looking for!"
Hearing this, Master Ping shot Lao Ba, who was perched on Luo Xiu's shoulder, a venomous glare. "Tonight," he said fiercely, "I'm having Golden Crow stew with mushrooms!"
"That's enough, you two. If you want to argue, do it later. We are now conducting an investigation in accordance with the law. Answer our questions and cut the nonsense! This is Purple Rainbow Mountain, not a place for you to run wild!"
"Ask my ass! I'm your daddy, and your mother is dead!"
Master Ping glared at the Purple Rainbow Mountain disciple, marched right up, slapped him across the face, and then pinned him to the ground, proceeding to beat him senseless.
A mont later, looking at the several Purple Rainbow Mountain disciples wailing in agony on the ground, Master Ping chuckled, dusted off his hands, and sauntered away.
"All done. Let's go!"
Luo Xiu and An Ran, who had been silent the entire ti, exchanged a glance and obediently followed.
"Master Ping, you've got street smarts," Luo Xiu praised. "I'll be your loyal follower from now on!"
Lao Ba laughed. "I just love your style, Master Ping. A true hero who takes crap from no one."

After so inquiries, Luo Xiu learned that the entrance to the Boundless Heavens would appear in a few days, and at an irregular ti. He decided to find a tavern in Purple Rainbow City and wait. However, when traveling, friends might not always be reliable, but money certainly was.
With not a single coin to his na, Luo Xiu had no choice but to find a pawnshop. He casually took out a Fierce Beast's inner core from the Land of Lawlessness and sold it, instantly achieving financial freedom.
Now flush with cash, Luo Xiu walked with a new spring in his step. He took An Ran, Master Ping, and Lao Ba on a tour of Purple Rainbow City, shopping like mad and spending money like water. After buying plenty of local specialties, they finally found a tavern called Shenluo to stay in.
The architectural style of the tavern was very similar to that of Earth, and "Shenluo" was the na Luo Xiu had used for his pharmaceutical company back ho. It was for this very reason that he chose this place.
Luo Xiu booked two rooms. An Ran had one to herself, while he shared the other with Master Ping and Lao Ba. After shrinking, Lao Ba didn't take up much space, but the massive Master Ping barely fit on the double bed.

In the blink of an eye, night fell.
Inside a guest room at the Shenluo Tavern, Luo Xiu sat cross-legged on the bed, gazing thoughtfully at the ssy pile of items before him. That ss was composed of all the materials needed to create his Second Dantian. He had finally acquired the last three ingredients; both the Life-Forfeiture Flower and the Celestial Nourishing Grass were in hand. Now, only the Dao Crystal was missing.
Breaking the silence, Luo Xiu asked, "Speaking of which, where exactly can I find a Dao Crystal?" He glanced at Master Ping, who was fooling around with Lao Ba on the other bed. "You don't have any clues?"
Master Ping swatted Lao Ba away and pondered, "Actually, I don't know much about Dao Crystals myself. I only know it's a crystalline substance naturally ford from the convergence of Spiritual Energy over thousands of years." He added, "Since it contains Dao principles, it's called a Dao Crystal."
Hearing this, Luo Xiu sighed lightly. "This thing is going to be really hard to find…"
Before he could finish, he froze, as if recalling sothing. He hastily retrieved an object from his Human Sanctuary and handed it to Master Ping. "Take a look at this. Is this it?" he asked. "This is the Thunderpython Stone I got from the Tianhe Secret Realm. They say it's a crystalline substance naturally ford from the thunder that has accumulated in the Tianhe over thousands of years."
Master Ping quickly took the stone, carefully sensing the aura within. Luo Xiu watched him, his eyes filled with anticipation.
"Holy shit!"
After a long mont of silence, Master Ping's sudden shout made Luo Xiu jump.
"This fucking thing *is* a Dao Crystal! And it's a Thunder-attribute one, perfect for your Thunder Path Physique! You sneaky bastard! You had it this whole ti, so why didn't you take it out sooner?!"
Seeing Master Ping so worked up, Luo Xiu was montarily speechless.
Grinding his teeth, Master Ping glared at him. "I really fucking want to strangle you!"
Luo Xiu wore an innocent expression and spread his hands. "Oh, so it's my fault?"
Master Ping tossed the Thunderpython Stone back to Luo Xiu and said seriously, "However, creating a Second Dantian is no small feat. We'll wait until we find a suitable place before we begin."
Luo Xiu nodded. "I'll listen to you."
Master Ping flopped onto the bed. "Ti for sleep. Goodnight, you sons of bitches."
Luo Xiu scratched his head. "Um, Master Ping… how about you and Lao Ba get another room?"
Master Ping looked puzzled. "The hell for?"
Luo Xiu explained, "Yan'er has been inside my body for so long, she wants to co out for so fresh air."
Master Ping's expression shifted, instantly understanding Luo Xiu's true aning. "I don't think *she* wants fresh air. I think she wants you to *air her out*, right?"
Luo Xiu smiled slightly. "So things are better left unsaid."
Master Ping rolled his eyes. "Please! A true gentleman knows to watch the show without comnting." He rolled out of bed. "Fair enough. The Flower Demon has been in your body for so long; it's about ti you were in hers."
Luo Xiu looked impatient. "Since you get it, scram."
"Alright, alright. We're all brothers here, of course I'll help out. Lao Ba, let's go get another room." As he left, he added, "Just know that so people are destined to die at the hands of a woman!"

Ti flowed like water, and the amorous spring night was all too brief.
「Early the next morning.」
Luo Xiu, still deep in sleep, was awakened by the commotion on the street below. He gently pushed Hua Muyan off his chest, rolled out of bed, and pulled back the curtains. The entire street was decked out with lanterns and strears, and he could hear the sound of gongs and drums.
A massive Auspicious Rarities Beast, carrying an exquisite Flying Carriage on its back, walked smoothly down the street. The carriage was draped with fluttering silk curtains, and beautifully dressed celestial maidens danced gracefully around it.
The person in that Flying Carriage certainly has style, Luo Xiu thought.
Just then, a gust of wind blew the curtains aside. Luo Xiu's gaze fell upon the regal fairy seated inside. He felt a sense of familiarity, as if he had seen her sowhere before. Almost at the sa instant, the regal fairy looked up toward Luo Xiu's window. Their eyes t for a fleeting mont before they both looked away.
Luo Xiu closed the curtains and turned to look at the naked Hua Muyan on the bed. I wonder if we should pick up where we left off... After last night's efforts, the side effects of his Nine Yang Constitution had finally been suppressed.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!
A rapid knocking sounded at the door. Luo Xiu extended his Divine Sense and saw it was Master Ping.
"What's up?"
"Luo Xiu, those disciples from Purple Rainbow Mountain are back with reinforcents to cause trouble! Wanna go deal with them?"
"AHHH—!"
Before Master Ping could finish, a piercing scream echoed from outside. It seed Lao Ba had already made his move.
