Sudden, ferocious thunder tore through the night sky over Purple Rainbow City in an instant.
Deep within the sea of clouds, space seed to be under intense compression, emitting bursts of a strange sound, like shattering crystals. In an extrely brief period, several cracks extending for a hundred miles were squeezed into the clouds! These cracks were even darker than the night itself and were conspicuous in the sky, resembling bottomless abysses slicing through the heavens. They emitted waves of a terrifying aura, as if so mysterious and unknown entity was about to crawl out from the abyss and descend upon the world.
In the night sky, this apocalyptic scene ford a stark contrast to the warm lights of the thousands of households on the ground. But the people of Tri-Rainbow were not panicked, for they knew this was not the end of the world, but rely the opening of the entrance to the Boundless Heavens.
Whenever the Starry Sky Magnetic Wind arrived, the stars in both the celestial and human realms would shift southward. The Boundless Heavens, a small world nestled in the fissure between these two realms, would generate rifts due to the spatial compression. Although this spectacle was a rare occurrence, happening only once every thousand years, it had taken place several tis in the history of the Upper Realm and brought no disaster or harm to its inhabitants. If one had to link it to a "disaster," it would be that all tallic objects would move southward. So swordsn, walking down the street, would find their swords inadvertently sucked from their waists, much to their embarrassnt.
After returning to the Shenluo Tavern, Luo Xiu imdiately sent Master Ping, Lao Ba, and An Ran into the Land of Lawlessness. He then took the Magnetic Key and flew alone high into the sky.
The pitch-black abyss inspired fear from a re glance. Even Luo Xiu's powerful Divine Sense could not probe what lay within. Anything that entered would be instantly engulfed in the chaotic spatial currents. However, the Magnetic Key could use its special magnetic force to stabilize the space around the holder within a certain range. The magnetic patterns on it also acted as a guide, leading the holder through the chaotic spatial currents to safely arrive at their destination.
However, the Magnetic Key Luo Xiu possessed was only a low-grade one with a single magnetic pattern. In the end, it only took him to the outermost periter of the Boundless Heavens.
「At the sa ti.」
In a deep mountain range far from Purple Rainbow City, Lin Shanshan and Snow Kirin, each holding a Magnetic Key, also flew high into the sky.
The next mont, however, they were discovered by War Soldiers from the Heaven Azure Empire.
"The two demonesses have appeared! Who would have thought they would hide there!"
"After them!"
"Once they enter the Boundless Heavens, we'll see where they can run!"
A host of Heavenly Azure War Soldiers rushed high into the sky, terrified that the two demonesses would escape. For the past few days, they had been searching relentlessly for the two won's whereabouts.
The leader, an old man with a hooked nose, wore a grim expression as he looked up at the thunderous night sky. "This ti, let's see where you can run!"
Following the guidance of the Magnetic Key in his hand, Luo Xiu remained calm as he flew out of the abyss. Appearing high in the sky, his eyes imdiately fell upon the desolate, barren land below.
The desolate land was boundless, with rolling hills and not a single blade of grass in sight. It was utterly devoid of life. The scattered remains of giant beasts were even larger than the hills themselves, emitting a nauseating stench of decay that lingered even after a thousand years.
Luo Xiu frowned and slowly descended to the ground.
"Is this... the place where I was defeated in my previous life?" he muttered to himself. Suddenly, he saw several figures flickering out from the cracks above. Clearly, they were cultivators who had entered the Boundless Heavens with low-grade Magnetic Keys.
A short while later, Luo Xiu landed on the ground.
With a flicker of light in his left eye, he opened the spatial entrance connected to the Land of Lawlessness. At the sa ti, he released his Divine Sense, sweeping it across the surroundings to survey the area.
Master Ping, who had probably been squabbling with Lao Ba, walked out of the spatial entrance cursing. He suddenly furrowed his brow, hastily pinching his nose as he exclaid, "Damn, this place reeks of a dense Aura of the Dead!"
Luo Xiu nodded. "The Aura of the Dead here is even more intense than in the Land of Lawlessness when we first arrived."
Master Ping laughed. "Then it's perfect for you to cultivate the Reaper's Art."
Luo Xiu replied, "I have the Ancient God Inner Pill, so I don't need to absorb the Aura of the Dead from here."
At this point, An Ran spoke up. "I think I'll stay in the Land of Lawlessness. Once you find Her Highness the Princess, just call for ."
Seeing An Ran looked as if she was about to vomit, Luo Xiu understood. As an Elf, such an environnt was akin to Hell for her. Compared to this place, the Immortal Grass Forest was practically paradise.
Luo Xiu nodded to An Ran. "If I find her, I'll contact you imdiately."
An Ran turned and returned to the Land of Lawlessness, unwilling to stay a mont longer.
Just then, Lao Ba flew over and alighted on Luo Xiu's shoulder. "Crown Prince, which way do we go now?"
Luo Xiu closed the spatial entrance and looked around, intending to just pick a random direction. His trip to the Boundless Heavens was not for exploration or fortune-seeking, but simply to find Dou Dou.
However, just as he was about to decide which way to go, the Divine Sense he had spread out trembled violently, then it was as if it was being pulled by so unknown entity.
He retracted his Divine Sense and said to Master Ping, "I feel sothing in that direction pulling . I'm going to check it out."
Master Ping stroked his chin, pondering. "Maybe it's sothing related to you. After all, you were defeated here in your previous life. You must have left sothing behind."
"I also heard from those War Slaves that the Azure Emperor's War Sword and Battle Armor are in the Boundless Heavens."
Luo Xiu nodded.
Master Ping added, "Also, this place is suitable for you to construct your Second Dantian."
Luo Xiu said, "After I find Dou Dou, I'll find a place to do that."
With a flash of light, Lao Ba instantly transford into a gigantic bald chicken.
Luo Xiu jumped onto Lao Ba's back. "Let's go."
"Roger that!"
They flew in silence for an entire hour.
Luo Xiu still hadn't found what was drawing him. Every ti he felt close, a careful search would reveal that it was still far away. This pattern repeated several tis on their journey.
After scouting a canyon and finding nothing, Luo Xiu prepared to set off again.
But at that mont, a shrill whistling sound cut through the air.
Luo Xiu looked toward the source and saw dozens of figures flying rapidly towards them. In just a mont, they reached the canyon and encircled Luo Xiu and his companions.
Luo Xiu looked around and imdiately spotted a familiar face. It was Huo Zhuixing, the Great Elder of the Swordfire Divine Sect whom he had encountered at the Flowing Thunder River. Then, Luo Xiu saw another familiar face: the Sect Master of the Swordfire Divine Sect, Huo Hangku.
Luo Xiu hadn't seen him since i Ji had saved him at the Ancient God Ruins, and he never expected to et him here.
Staring at Luo Xiu with a cold gaze, Huo Zhuixing said, "Sect Master, that's the boy!"
Huo Hangku glanced at Luo Xiu, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. "A re greenhorn, a fat man, and a bald chicken managed to take the Great Elder's Magnetic Key?"
Huo Zhuixing's expression turned ugly. He whispered, "Sect Master, we cannot be careless. This boy hides his true strength well. I fear he has the cultivation of a Dao Jade Five!"
