Now reading: Chapter 673 673: Heartache from My Top-Tier Tycoon Wife, a Action novel by Wind rises, the curtain flutters.

Over a hundred figures whooshed through the air, their arrival imminent and their montum heaven-shaking! Such a display was by no ans small.

As the opportunists scattered, Luo Xiu and his party were exposed.

Then, figures descended from the sky, enclosing Luo Xiu and his companions in a tight circle.

Leading them were two elders with white hair yet robust spirits. One wore a sword robe and the other a silver robe. Simply standing there, they resembled two insurmountable mountains.

"Among you, who is Asura?"

Into the silence, the elder in the sword robe spoke. His seemingly gentle and peaceful tone contained an endless rage, making one feel as if they were standing on a mountain of corpses amidst a sea of blood.

Lao Ba coughed lightly twice, then suddenly nudged Master Ping with his backside, sending him staggering forward.

"This fatso here is Asura! He's so damn arrogant, even I, Lao Ba, can't keep him in line. You lot, hurry up and get him!"

Master Ping's eyes bulged as he glared at Lao Ba. "For God's sake, can't you act like a human for once?"

"Lao Ba is a bird!"

"Don't listen to their endless drivel!" Huo Hangku yelled angrily. He strode forward, pointed at Luo Xiu, and said to the elder in the sword robe, "Great Ancestor, this brat here is Asura."

At that mont, i Ji tilted her head slightly and whispered to Luo Xiu, "This man is the founding Great Elder of the Swordfire Divine Sect, Huo Tianfeng."

Huo Hangku looked at i Ji with disgust and sneered, "You filthy whore. It seems you really have hooked up with this pretty boy. Can't you live without a man?"

"Heh, a whore is always a whore. Even if you beca a Red Emperor, you'd still be a whore!"

At this mont, Huo Hangku was brimming with confidence. In his eyes, Luo Xiu and his party were already dead n. Two Red Emperors had co this ti! He refused to believe that i Ji and Luo Xiu could possibly stir up any trouble.

Faced with Huo Hangku's public humiliation, i Ji's face remained expressionless, her heart completely undisturbed. Her Dao Heart was clear. Having climbed to her current height, she had long ago accepted her past. Everything she had experienced along the way—the good, the bad, and the shaful—was like a fleeting cloud, sothing to be accepted with composure.

Luo Xiu glanced at i Ji's profile, a sense of admiration growing in his heart. He could see that i Ji was genuinely unperturbed. If it were him facing such public humiliation, he would have been consud by rage long ago.

Luo Xiu asked, "Do you want to let you kill him?"

But i Ji remained silent. She still couldn't bring herself to personally kill Huo Hangku. There was a ti, however brief, when she had truly loved this man. Otherwise, she wouldn't have co to his rescue ti and ti again.

The elder in the silver robe stepped forward. "I have heard that i Ji reached the Red Emperor Realm several years ago. Unworthy as I may be, I would like to challenge you to a fight."

The mont he finished speaking, the elder's body blurred into an afterimage as he thrust a palm at i Ji. On their way here, he and Huo Tianfeng had already agreed that he would be the one to deal with i Ji. The Heavenly Moon Cult's Pure Moon Heart thod was a perfect counter to the charm techniques of the Jade Delight Sect.

i Ji retreated, flying into the sky. She sent a Divine Sense Communication to Luo Xiu, "Leave this one from the Heavenly Moon Cult to ."

Luo Xiu neither responded nor intended to help, rely watching as she departed. As for i Ji, he always remained guarded.

Huo Tianfeng's gaze landed back on Luo Xiu's face. "Kid," he said, "I have no other purpose for coming here today but to kill you. You previously insulted our Divine Sect and severed the hand of one of our disciples. Kneel and confess your cris now, and I will grant you the rcy of an intact corpse."

The nearby cultivators who had gathered to watch the spectacle all looked at Luo Xiu with pity. A cultivator hoping to curry favor with the Swordfire Divine Sect suddenly spoke up. "Young man, you should just accept your fate. There's no good end for those who offend the Swordfire Divine Sect."

"You'd better listen to this senior. Just kneel and apologize. At least you'll keep so dignity."

Luo Xiu, however, ignored the crowd's "persuasion." He turned a deaf ear to them, walking unhurriedly toward Huo Tianfeng.

Seeing him approach, Huo Hangku assud he had resigned himself to his fate and couldn't help but sneer. "Kid, kneel."

Luo Xiu glanced at him, then his eyes moved to Huo Tianfeng. "Old man, there are so things I want to ask you."

"Insolence!" Huo Hangku bellowed, pointing his sword at Luo Xiu. "How dare you disrespect the Great Ancestor!"

"Respect?" Luo Xiu smiled faintly. "Do people like you even know the aning of the word?"

Huo Hangku's tone grew heavy. "I told you to kneel when you speak. Are you deaf?"

Luo Xiu wasted no more ti on words. He strode forward and slapped Huo Tianfeng across the face.

Huo Tianfeng's eyes widened, inwardly shocked at the young man's incredible speed. Just as he was about to dodge, he suddenly felt his entire body go numb. The palm landed firmly on his cheek.

SMACK!

The sound was incredibly crisp. It wasn't loud, but to everyone present, it was deafening.

Before Huo Tianfeng could be sent flying, Luo Xiu grabbed his hair and yanked him back. He delivered another slap to the other side of his face, then gripped his hair again, pulling Huo Tianfeng's face close to his own. Luo Xiu then tilted his head to look at the stunned Huo Hangku. "Now," he asked, "am I allowed to stand while speaking to your Great Ancestor?"

Blood trickled from Huo Tianfeng's mouth and nose as he glared viciously at Luo Xiu. With just a few slaps, the image he had ticulously maintained his entire life was utterly destroyed.

Huo Hangku gritted his teeth, but he didn't dare make a sound. Even the Great Ancestor, a Red Emperor, was being slapped without being able to retaliate. He knew that if he stepped forward, he would only be asking for humiliation.

The scene fell deathly quiet. Everyone was petrified, utterly dumbfounded.

The founding Great Elder of the Swordfire Divine Sect, a mighty Red Emperor, couldn't even fight back against this young man! Just who was this kid?

"Do you know of the Heaven's Aegis Army?" Luo Xiu stared into Huo Tianfeng's eyes, asking via Divine Sense Communication.

At his words, Huo Tianfeng's eyes widened in shock. "Who are you? How could you..."

"I'm the one asking the questions now."

"I know! I know!"

"Then speak."

"The Heaven's Aegis Army was a force secretly raised by the Azure Emperor. It was composed of three thousand soldiers, every single one a battle-hardened killer."

Luo Xiu's voice was cold. "During the Azure Emperor's battle at the Boundless Heavens, the Heaven's Aegis Army mysteriously disappeared while en route to provide support. Does this have anything to do with you?"

"Yes."

"Where are they?"

"I... I don't know. Only the old Sect Master knows."

Luo Xiu smiled faintly. "Are you sure you don't know?"

"I don't..."

Huo Tianfeng's words were cut off as Luo Xiu's hand clamped around his throat and crushed it. Simultaneously, Luo Xiu activated the Soul Capturing Technique, seizing Huo Tianfeng's soul and forcibly scouring its mories.

The entire area was deathly silent.

A mont later, Luo Xiu kicked Huo Tianfeng's corpse to Huo Hangku's feet, his eyes burning with suppressed fury. After scouring Huo Tianfeng's mories, he had learned everything about the Heaven's Aegis Army.

Master Ping stepped forward. "Kid, what about these people?"

Luo Xiu waved his hand, letting out a soft sigh. "Let them all go."

He lifted his gaze to Huo Hangku and spoke slowly, "Go back and tell your old ancestor not to bother looking for . After I leave the Boundless Heavens, I will pay him a personal visit."

Huo Hangku's face was pale, his body trembling. For a mont, he was too terrified to speak.

Luo Xiu waved his hand again. "All of you from the Swordfire Divine Sect may leave."

A short while later, after everyone from the Swordfire Divine Sect had departed, Luo Xiu let out a long sigh and turned his back on the others.

"Dad... what's wrong?" Lin Shanshan walked to Luo Xiu's side, taking his arm and asking with concern.

Recalling the scenes from Huo Tianfeng's mory, tears welled up in Luo Xiu's eyes.

"Those three thousand brothers and sisters... they all died because of ."

"Even though I have no mory of them... those images... they break my heart."
