The starry sky, like a black curtain, was torn open by an invisible, giant hand, creating a rift in its expanse.
The Starry Sky Ferry that Luo Xiu was on began to slow down and, with the captain's skillful maneuvering, sailed smoothly into the tear.
In the guest room.
Luo Xiu, who was sitting cross-legged in ditation, slowly opened his eyes. He gazed out the window at the majestic mountains and soaring sacred beasts, his expression one of awe.
At his side, Luo Yue looked at Luo Xiu's profile, tears slowly welling in her eyes.
"Your Majesty, we're ho," she said.

「Outer Plains. Yunyang City.」
The Starry Sky Ferry flew slowly over the dilapidated old city district before landing steadily on the vast docks.
Luo Xiu followed behind Luo Yue. The two of them, along with a large group of passengers, walked down the long stairway in an orderly fashion. Only after passing an identity check were they allowed to proceed.
"Yueyue!"
As soon as they left the dock, a burly man with the build of a tiger and the strength of a bear hurried over and swept Luo Yue into his arms.
The sight of her delicate fra held by his towering one was visually striking, like a large grizzly bear hugging a small fox.
Suddenly, ignoring the passersby on the dock, the burly man began kissing Luo Yue fiercely and without restraint.
Luo Yue cried out in surprise, frantically slapping the burly man's shoulders. But she couldn't overco his enthusiasm and eventually gave in.
Luo Xiu watched the happy couple embrace and smiled to himself, genuinely pleased for them. Still, it was a little awkward.
He didn't need to guess to know that the burly man was Luo Yue's husband.
In previous conversations, Luo Yue had told Luo Xiu about her husband, a man nad Wang Wu.
Wang Wu ran a small martial arts hall in his hotown of Yunyang City and possessed a cultivation of Dao Jade Three, with a dozen disciples under him.
Being exiled, Luo Yue could only return ho once every ten years or so, which was undoubtedly torturous for them. Whenever Luo Xiu thought about it, he felt pity for the couple.
Now, watching them kiss with such joy, Luo Xiu couldn't help but think of Lin Xiyue.
If I could find Lin Xiyue in a crowd, I'd probably act just like Wang Wu... No, on second thought, kissing in public is immodest.
"Xi Yue, I wonder if you are still on the Lingtian Plateau," Luo Xiu murmured to himself, his feelings a complex tangle.
From Xu Qianqing, Su Shanyue, and several other won, he had learned long ago that Lin Xiyue had co to the Lingtian Plateau, but to this day, he had found no news of her. She seed to have vanished into thin air, as if such a person had never existed.
While Luo Xiu was lost in thought, rows of cargo shelves pulled by Scaled Oxen passed by. On those shelves, he saw the four large characters for "Shen Luo Comrce Guild."
"Shen Luo?"
Could it be Xi Yue's comrce guild?
Luo Xiu frowned slightly, recalling the Shen Luo Company from Earth.
With that in mind, he cleared his throat and called out, "Luo Yue, co here for a mont."
Hearing this, Luo Yue hastily pushed Wang Wu away and walked over to Luo Xiu, her cheeks flushed.
"Your... Haoran, what's wrong?" she asked.
Luo Xiu said, "Later, help check into this Shen Luo Comrce Guild."
"No problem, I'll just..."
She hadn't even finished her sentence when her eyes suddenly widened in terror. Her husband, Wang Wu, was storming over. Without a word, he threw a punch straight at Luo Xiu's face.
THWACK!
Wang Wu's solid, powerful punch landed firmly on Luo Xiu's face.
Luo Xiu's facial muscles rippled from the impact, but his body remained completely still.
The air suddenly fell silent.
Luo Xiu slowly turned, giving Wang Wu a puzzled look. He could feel the intense anger in Wang Wu's eyes but didn't understand why the man had struck him.
He didn't retaliate, though. After all, he had to give Luo Yue so face. At the very least, he had to figure out what was going on before deciding whether to hit back.
Beside them, a shocked Luo Yue covered her mouth with both hands. Her body went rigid, and for a mont, she stood frozen as if turned to stone. Her mind was a complete blank, utterly in disarray.
Her own husband had just hit the Azure Emperor...
Wang Wu snorted coldly and said, "Not bad, kid. You took my punch and are still standing!"
Luo Xiu said expressionlessly, "Is this how you greet people?"
Wang Wu huffed angrily. "You must be Bai Haoran, right? I had soone look into you! I'm warning you, stay away from my Yueyue from now on! Don't think I don't know what's been going on between you two!"
As he spoke, he lunged forward and grabbed Luo Xiu by the collar. Grinding his teeth, he sent via Divine Sense Communication, "You're just a weak pretty boy! What do you have that I don't? How dare Yueyue cheat on with you!"
Luo Xiu: "..."
For a mont, he was completely at a loss. He could only look at Luo Yue with pleading eyes. He'd long suspected that Luo Yue and this Bai Haoran had so history, but he never expected it to be true. And a dramatic history, at that!
At this mont, he suddenly felt a great deal of sympathy for Wang Wu.
"Awu, that's enough!" Luo Yue stomped over, her cheeks puffed with anger, and kicked Wang Wu in the leg.
Wang Wu grimaced in pain. "Yueyue, why did you kick ? You brought this pretty boy all the way ho, and I..."
"Shut up! Haoran is just my partner. There's nothing going on between us! He only ca here to report on our mission!" she retorted. "Where did you even hear such gossip? Is our relationship so weak that it can't withstand a few rumors?!"
"Yueyue, I..." Wang Wu's face was etched with grievance.
Luo Yue kicked him again and said in a coaxing but firm tone, "Alright, let's go ho! Everyone is watching. Have you no sha?"
Wang Wu pointed a finger at Luo Xiu. "Is this pretty boy coming to our house too?"
Luo Yue rolled her eyes. "Where else would he go?"
"..."
And so, Luo Xiu went to Luo Yue's house.
Luo Yue's ho was situated on the outskirts of Yunyang City. It was a large, rather luxurious-looking courtyard house. The yard, however, was overgrown with weeds; it was obvious the lazy Wang Wu hadn't bothered to tend to it.
"Awu, prepare so wine and at. Haoran and I are going to the intelligence headquarters to report on our work."
"Oh," Wang Wu responded, clearly reluctant.
「...」
On the way to the intelligence headquarters, Luo Xiu broke the silence with an odd expression. "So, is there really sothing going on between you and that Bai Haoran?"
Luo Yue flushed, sowhat embarrassed. "I dare not deceive Your Majesty... I was away from ho for so long, and... a woman has her needs." She quickly added, "But Your Majesty, please don't tell Awu. Although he's suspicious, he doesn't have any solid evidence."
Luo Xiu just gave an awkward smile and said nothing.
He wasn't about to get involved in their ssy marital problems.
Suddenly, Luo Yue huffed, "Your Majesty, don't think that Awu hasn't been playing around all these years he's been ho. He's probably explored every dark alley in Yunyang City by now!"
