For a mont, all the onlookers broke out in a cold sweat for Luo Xiu, certain they could already picture his tragic end.
Offending the Red Lion Gang in Wangjian Town never ended well for anyone.
At that very mont, the burly man was staring at Luo Xiu as if he were already dead. Although he was no match for Wang Wu, this pretty boy Luo Xiu, who looked as if a gust of wind could blow him over, was nothing but a small fry in his eyes—soone he could crush with a single hand.
With this thought, a murderous glint flashed in the man's eyes, and he lunged toward Luo Xiu. He had decided to publicly execute Luo Xiu as a warning to others and to display the might of the Red Lion Gang.
Luo Xiu sensed the man's killing intent and furrowed his brow slightly. He hadn't wanted to kill anyone. To him, this rabble wasn't worth the effort, nor did they deserve to die by his hand. But now that the man wanted him dead, it was a different matter entirely.
Luo Xiu tilted his head slightly, casting an indifferent glance at the man.
Just one piercing look was all it took. Sword Qi slashed through the air.
The burly man hadn't even gotten close before he froze mid-charge, his body stuck in a lunging posture, utterly motionless. Almost simultaneously, his head flew from his neck and landed squarely in the arms of the woman beside him.
The woman clutched the man's head, her body rigid and trembling. She stared at Luo Xiu as if she were looking at a demon.
Luo Xiu, however, couldn't be bothered to even glance at her and walked straight past.
Wherever he passed, Sword Qi swept through everything. The mbers of the Red Lion Gang had no ti to dodge before they were beheaded one after another. Since he had already started killing, killing one was no different from killing them all.
In the world of cultivators, the best way to solve a problem was simply to kill.
The area fell deathly silent. The onlookers stared at Luo Xiu's retreating figure, their legs growing weak.
That's not a man! He's a demon!
But on second thought, weren't the mbers of the Red Lion Gang just another pack of demons who terrorized Wangjian Town?
anwhile, the disciples from the Yue Wu Dojo were pale, their legs so weak they could barely stand. Suddenly, the "milk baby" they always looked down on seed like a complete stranger.
What kind of power is this? He can kill without lifting a finger, using only his eyes!
...
「At that mont, in the ruins of a building.」
The middle-aged man had Wang Wu pinned to the ground and was beating him viciously. Against a Dao Jade Fifth Realm expert, Wang Wu was utterly helpless. Even fighting back was a hopeless dream.
The middle-aged man straddled Wang Wu, cursing angrily as his fists rained down. Wang Wu had long since lost consciousness, his face a bloody, unrecognizable ss.
"You damn dog, you can die now!" the middle-aged man suddenly roared. He channeled Spiritual Power into his fist and slamd it toward Wang Wu's head.
However, before the fatal blow could land, the middle-aged man abruptly froze, as if he were paralyzed.
It was Luo Xiu, who had grabbed his hair from behind.
The middle-aged man felt a searing pain spread across his scalp. He glared back at Luo Xiu, a cold light glinting in his eyes.
"You little bastard, how dare you—"
Without a word, Luo Xiu dragged him up and began beating him rcilessly. He beat the man in the exact sa way the man had been beating Wang Wu.
A mont later, Luo Xiu bent down and grabbed Wang Wu by his waistband, lifting him as if he weighed nothing. Then he turned to the blood-soaked man who was now kneeling on the ground, begging for his life.
"Young Master, spare ! Please, spare my life!"
"It was my fault! I was blind to have offended you, Young Master!"
Luo Xiu sighed with an air of complete boredom. "Enough. I can't stand bullies like you who prey on the weak and fear the strong. If I truly wanted to kill you, your begging would be useless. I'll spare your miserable life so you can go back and call so stronger fighters to make trouble for ."
"I'll be waiting at the Wangjian Inn."
"Rember, call soone who can actually fight. If you just bring back more small fry, I'll chop off your hands."
...
On the bustling street, Luo Yue and the other Yue Wu Dojo disciples saw Luo Xiu erge from the ruins carrying Wang Wu and hurried to et them.
"Sect Leader!"
"Haoran, how is Wang Wu?"
Luo Xiu tossed the unconscious Wang Wu to the other disciples and said to Luo Yue, "Don't worry, it's nothing serious. I gave him an Elixir. He'll be fine after sleeping for a couple of days."
Hearing this, Luo Yue looked at Luo Xiu with gratitude.
Luo Xiu smiled. "Let's go back. I'm hungry."
Just then, one of the dojo disciples asked, "Milk baby, you killed so many of them. What if they..."
Luo Xiu shot the disciple a look, cutting him off.
The disciple, terrified by his glare, quickly shut his mouth.
Luo Xiu said coolly, "A bunch of cowardly dogs. Keep yapping, and I won't mind slaughtering you lot as well."
At his words, the disciples froze, not daring to make another sound.
Luo Xiu turned and walked away.
The dojo disciples watched his retreating back, gritting their teeth in resentnt.
"Hmph, who does he think he is?"
"So what if he has so skill."
"Let's see what he does when those people co for him!"
...
「As evening fell and the lanterns were lit.」
Sowhere in Wangjian Town, inside a luxurious building, the leader of the Red Lion Gang, Cheng Haonan, sat on a large throne with his legs crossed, looking down on the kneeling middle-aged man and the scantily clad woman.
After listening to the siblings' tearful account, Cheng Haonan's expression grew dark.
"How many tis have I told you?" he said suddenly. "We of the Red Lion Gang work for Her Majesty; we're not so small-ti faction!
"Stop acting like a bunch of hooligans, running rampant on the streets! During the Sword Competition, Wangjian Town is filled with hidden dragons and crouching tigers. What happened today should be a lesson to you!"
The middle-aged man, his face a ss of blood and tears, cried, "But Boss, he killed Daniu! Are we supposed to just let that go? Our brothers have followed you for so many years, through thick and thin..."
"Enough!" Cheng Haonan slapped the armrest of his throne impatiently. "Of course we'll settle this score. If we just swallow our anger now, it is Her Majesty who loses face! Where is the kid? I'll go et him myself!"
...
「anwhile.」
At the Wangjian Inn, in a luxurious private room, Luo Xiu and the others were gathered around a table, feasting on at and wine. It was a sha Wang Wu was still unconscious and couldn't enjoy the magnificent al.
"Haha, Brother Haoran, I heard about what you did today! You were incredible!" A Wei gushed. "Co, let toast you!"
To A Wei, Luo Xiu was now a living deity he would do anything to please. The other dojo disciples also had smiles plastered across their faces as they continuously offered toasts to Luo Xiu.
Before returning to the inn, they had all seen the Sword Forest ranking in the town square and had heard from A Wei about Luo Xiu's relationship with the Highland Sword God. In their eyes, Luo Xiu was now a godlike existence. Just being able to share a al with him felt like a blessing earned over several lifetis, sothing they could boast about for years to co.
Faced with their enthusiasm, Luo Xiu rely offered perfunctory replies. All he wanted was to enjoy a good al. For so reason, the food in the Inner Plains was exceptionally fragrant.
As he was eating heartily, he suddenly felt sothing soft brush against his thigh. He glanced down and was startled to see a small foot, sheathed in thin silk, touching him.
His heart sank. He slowly raised his head to look at Yu Han, who was sitting across from him.
She gave him a seductive wink and ran her tongue lightly over her lips.
Luo Xiu felt a wave of irritation.
This young widow... she's really sothing else.
