The treant calling himself "Kai Mao" was like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, terrifying a group of Ginseng Children into wailing.
It threw back its head and laughed loudly, looking incredibly arrogant.

A short while later, Kai Mao struggled to its feet. Twisting its ugly tree-head, it looked around and roared, "Who is it?! Who the hell is ambushing Great Lord Kai Mao?!"
As it roared, the arm that had been severed by the Sword Qi began to regrow at an astonishing pace.
At that mont, Luo Xiu slowly descended from the sky, his expression indifferent as he stared at Kai Mao.
He suddenly spoke, "From this mont on, the ginseng here are under my protection."
"Hmph, and who the hell are you? Great Lord Kai Mao will eat you up!" Kai Mao bellowed furiously.
The next mont, countless slender roots erupted from the ground around Luo Xiu. Swirling like a mass of snakes, they quickly wrapped tightly around him, leaving only his head exposed.
But Luo Xiu remained as calm as ever, expressionlessly watching Kai Mao, seemingly deep in thought.

Suddenly, Kai Mao's angry curses ca from the side.
Luo Xiu put the little Ginseng Child down and turned to see that the voice was emanating from the tree heart. A residual soul of Kai Mao remained within it.
Hua Muyan, however, completely ignored it, continuing her quiet absorption.
Luo Xiu suddenly said, "Yan'er, give a Flower Demon Clone."
"Yes, Master."
A mont later, using the Flower Demon Clone as a sacrifice, Luo Xiu invoked "Elysian Nether Earth" to resurrect the Heaven Moon Pope. He had the Pope stand guard for Hua Muyan, then went off alone in search of the Lotus Stele.

Luo Hao commanded, "Go to the Evergreen Forest and see what's happening."
The Bandaged Man, without uttering a word, turned and left the secret chamber upon receiving the order.
