For an unknown amount of ti, Liam just sat in his bed, with his mouth and eyes wide open in a mix of shock, and disbelief.
He had no idea what to do or say. He was completely at loss for words.
After a minute, he closed his eyes, as he took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, doing his best to control his emotions. He inhaled and exhaled a few tis but he realised that it wasn’t working.
He can’t bottle up what he’s feeling at the mont. Even the World Class Etiquette skill wasn’t doing sh*t to help him with his emotions. He has to let it out. He has to scream out at the absurdity level of the rewards he had just received.
Imdiately, he vanished from his room and appeared in the Dinsional Space. And the next thing he did was to scream at the top of his voice.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!"
His voice reverberated through the air, echoing into the distance before quickly fading.
Liam sighed heavily as he collapsed into the chair. He still has no idea what to say but the scream had lessened the shock he was feeling.
With a small smile on his face, he took a look at his phone and when he saw his account balance which has increased to $678m, he chuckled lightly, putting on a stoic expression. But it was all a facade, as behind that expression was still shock and disbelief.
He tried to calm his emotions again, as he closed his eyes briefly and did another round of breathing exercise. And fortunately for him, he succeeded.
"I should really learn to get used to the system’s surprises," he said to himself with a low voice.
Liam decided to check his account balance again and he saw the half a billion dollars comfortably sitting in it.
$500m... This amount is enough for to do or buy literally almost anything," he muttered, staring at the mind boggling figure.
On Earth, fortunes like this were the kind of things you read about in financial news headlines. CEOs celebrated record bonuses. Hedge funds bragged about record-breaking years. Billionaire heirs strutted around in magazines.
But here he was, an eighteen years old, treating half a billion as just another daily surprise from his system. At least he’s trying to do that.
He didn’t focus too much on the money as he quickly turned his attention to one of the more important rewards: the shares.
"3% of Nvidiā," Liam whispered, grinning.
The company wasn’t just a giant. It was the king of AI and semiconductors, the lifeblood of the future. Its GPUs powered everything from deep learning to supercomputing.
"Three percent... that’s worth $122 billion. More than the previous value of my equity portfolio," He chuckled softly, but there was disbelief in his voice.
He tried not dwell too much on it as his mind processed the next reward.
"3% of Miçrōsōft..."
This wasn’t just so company. Miçrōsōft is one of the Big Four. The titan of software, cloud, and AI. If Nvidiā was the king of GPUs, Miçrōsōft was the emperor of digital infrastructure. It was a company with decades of dominance, from Windows to Azure cloud computing, to their massive stake in OpenAI and beyond. Their reach was everywhere — offices, hos, schools, the internet itself.
"Three percent of Miçrōsōft," Liam muttered again. "That’s $111 billion."
He let out a sharp laugh and rubbed his face with both hands. "God, that’s... insane. I’m eighteen and I already own so much."
He inhaled sharply through his teeth, as he turned to the next reward .
"Brōadcōm... the semiconductor giant. Networking, storage, chips in everything from smartphones to data centers."
His 3% stake in it is valued at $42.2b!
But it wasn’t just the money. It was the positioning. Nvidiā, Miçrōsōft, and Brōadcōm together gave him direct influence across AI, semiconductors, and global computing infrastructure.
But the next reward made him realise that there was more going on. TSMC wasn’t just a company. It was the backbone of modern technology. From Apple’s iPhones to military hardware, the world’s entire chip supply chain depended on them.
Not just that. It’s also a company that earned its country so many favourable deals from other countries, and created a tension between the two biggest economies in the world — USA and China.
And Liam now owns a 3% stake which equates to $37.8b, also a stake in one of the world’s most strategically sensitive companies.
With today’s monthly sign-in rewards, Liam had finally understood the system’s end goal. It wasn’t just giving him this rewards for nothing, it was also quietly giving him control of the world.
With the amount of shares he has, he can move the world to dance to whatever tune he wants. But he also needs a form of security and that is where the money, the leverage power from the bearer bond and the Family Office that Daniel’s setting up cos in. And also his personal strengths and his escape channels.
Well, it could actually be that or it could be that I’m just overthinking it had the system is just giving whatever it feels like. But I highly doubt that.
And the remaining rewards made him doubt it even more.
"3% stake in Eli Līlly?" Liam murmured.
Eli Līlly was the undisputed giant of the pharmaceutical world — one of the infamous Big Pharma. They control the insulin, weight-loss drugs, cancer therapies market. And they are reshaping dicine at a global level.

When Liam saw the next reward, his eyes softened slightly. Jōhnson & Jōhnson wasn’t flashy like Nvidia or Microsoft, but it was a global behemoth of healthcare, dical devices, consur products.

The next thing Liam did was to tally up the numbers and when he did, his chest tightened.
"Shares total... three percent Nvidia, Microsoft, Broadcom, TSMC, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson..."
His lips moved as he ran through the numbers quickly.

Microsoft: $111b.
Broadcom: $42b.
TSMC: $37.8b.
Eli Lilly: $19.5b.
Johnson & Johnson: $12.8b.
Total: $345.6b.
Added to his previous equity portfolio, the number was staggering.

Liam froze as his throat tightened.
"Four hundred and sixty-two billion," he whispered, as his hands trembled slightly.
"I’m... the richest person in the world."
The words sounded insane even as he said them. The richest man on Earth. Richer than Musk, Arnault, Bezos, all of them. And he was only eighteen.
For a long mont, he just sat there in silence, his breath coming in shallow bursts. Then he sighed heavily and collapsed head-back on the chair.
"Richest in the world... at eighteen and in just one month," he muttered in a very low voice, shaking his head.
"This system is... too much. Just too much."
