Tsukuru led Alia into the separate building where the combat classes were held.
The whole ti, Tsukuru could see a green dot lagging behind them in his System's "minimap".
Seeing this, his eye twitched in annoyance.
He glanced back out of the corner of his eye.
There, he saw a trail of rocks and gravel following them, slithering on the ground like a snake.
'Shizuka…' He thought in annoyance.
Tsukuru let out an annoyed sigh, causing Alia to turn to him and give him a confused look.
Eventually, Tsukuru led Alia to a strange door that she had never seen.
Tsukuru let out a deep sigh, and applied three gentle knocks to the door.
In the Beast Weapons Hall, Sergeant Leo was ditating on the floor, legs crossed and his eyes closed.
Suddenly, he heard three knocks from the other side of the door.
Leo narrowed his eyes, and activated his Ability.
On the other side of the door, he saw two figures in his wirefra vision.
One he imdiately identified at Hikiko Tsukuru, due to the figure constantly glitching.
However, the other was a complete unknown.
All he could see was that she was female.
Leo grunted as he got to his feet, and walked towards the door.
On the other side of the door, the two students jumped back, as the door opened a crack.
Alia and Tsukuru could see Leo's clouded eye looking at them through the opening.
"What is it, my boy?" Leo asked.
Tsukuru gulped.
"I…I have a favor to ask." He replied, clapping his hands together, pleading. "Can I…please use the Beast Weapons Hall for a bit?" He asked.
Leo raised an eyebrow.
"Oh?" He asked. "And what for, exactly?"
Tsukuru paused for a mont, before speaking.
He let out a sigh.
"I…I'm teaching my new friend here how to use her Ability." He replied, glancing over at Alia. "And I'd prefer a large, open space. The Beast Weapon Hall would be perfect."
Leo thought for a second, before Tsukuru and Alia saw the door being pulled wide open.
Leo stood in the doorway with an amused smile.
"I suppose I could spare you an hour or so." He replied, before his eyes then narrowed. "By the way, you know you're being followed, right?" He asked.
Hearing this, Aila's eyes widened in surprise.
However, Tsukuru just let out a sigh. His shoulders slumped.
"Yes, I know we're being followed." He muttered, before snapping his head around. "Shizuka! You can co out now!"
As Aila turned around, she saw a pile of rocks and gravel on the ground begin to pile up on itself, forming a feminine shape that looked like a stone statue.
As the statue filled, it slowly began to fill with color starting from the ground up.
Eventually, it turned into one of the two Sergeants who had arrived at the assembly hall yesterday.
Seeing her, Leo narrowed his eyes.
Ten minutes later, Tsukuru and Alia stood in the center of the Beast Weapons Hall, with Sergeants Leo and Shizuka standing at the far back.
Tsukuru turned to Alia with a smile.
"Alright, the first thing I want to figure out is the range of your magnetism." He replied.
Hearing this, Alia raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"How are we going to do that?" She asked.
In response, Tsukuru activated his Ability.
The sound of electronic interference emitted from his body, and translucent, light-blue pixels began to appear in his hand.
Alia watched in amazent, as the pixels clustered together into a long, rectangular shape.
There was a flash of light.
When it faded, Tsukuru was holding a ruler.
Tsukuru held up his hand holding the ruler, and glanced over at it.
He smirked.
"We're going to asure it." He replied.
Tsukuru then had Alia fully outstretch her hand in front of her.
Then, he placed the ruler down on the floor right where her finger tips ended.
Tsukuru took a few steps back, and then outstretched his own arm.
"Summon." He replied.
Instantly, the sound of electronic interference filled the area again, and pixels appeared in front of him.
However, this ti, the pixels clustered together into a slender, humanoid shape. There was another flash of light.
When it faded, Tsukuru's Haunted Knight was standing in front of him.
Alia stared at the Haunted Knight.
She had seen this creature before.
She rembered seeing Erin fight it during that little "demonstration" after breakfast yesterday.
It had also been fighting alongside Erin against the second-years in the assembly hall.
The Haunted Knight remained still as a statue, standing there in her typical "Knight Sentry" pose.
Tsukuru walked up to the side of the Haunted Knight.
She turned her head to look at him, her slightly rusted armor making a creaking noise, as she awaited orders.
Once again, Tsukuru activated his Ability.
However, this ti, he created a standard-looking knight sword.
Tsukuru held it up so Alia could see it.
"This sword is made out of 100% Neodymium." He explained. "It's the most magnetic tal in the world, and it's what they use to make electromagnets."
He then looked over at Alia.
"We're going to use it as training wheels."
Tsukuru then held out the sword to his Haunted Knight.
"Here." He replied. "Take this, and go walk up to the end of the ruler, holding the sword straight up."
The Haunted Knight did as she was told.
She held her regular sword out for Tsukuru to take with his other hand, and then took the new, Neodymium sword out of his hand.
She then walked up to the end of the ruler, standing exactly one foot away from Alia's outstretched hand, holding the sword straight up, her hands gripped around the sword's handle.
Tsukuru then turned to Alia.
"Now, I want you to use your electromagnetism to wrench the sword out of her hands, and pull it towards you." He explained.
Back over with the Sergeants, Leo put his hand under his chin, thinking.
"Ah, so he's teaching her how to steal soone's weapon." He replied. "An effective strategy, even if not an honorable one."
Hearing this, Shizuka rolled her eyes.
"'Honor' is aningless these days." She muttered.
Leo narrowed his eyes at Shizuka, irked by her statent.
Back with Tsukuru and Alia, Alia activated her Ability.
Like before, electricity crackled up her arm, and a low hum was heard.
The air around her hand was distorted, as the electromagnetic field she generated pushed away the air.
Slowly, the sword in the Haunted Knight's hands began to shift back and forth.
It looked like an animal that was trying to wriggle away from the grip of a captive.
Alia gritted her teeth.
'C'mon…' She thought to herself.
Alia concentrated harder, focused more of her body's Mutant Cells.
Soon, the Haunted Knight's fingers began to tense and strain.
It looked as if she was struggling to keep a firm grip on the sword.
A mont later, the sword was violently ripped out of the Haunted Knights hands.
"Yes!" Alia said with a beaming face. "I did it!"
The sword continued flying through the air, until it collided with Alia's open hand, becoming stuck to her skin like glue.
Alia wrapped her hand around it, and deactivated her Ability.
She looked down at the sword's blade now wrapped in her hand.
Tsukuru smirked.
"Can the other Graylashes do that?" He asked.
