You're not going to end up in the Emperor's bed tomorrow, are you?
I'm clueless about what Xediles, far away in the Imperial Palace, is up to. Could it be that he got caught in bed with the Pri Minister's wife, and then thought, "Why bother with an explanation? Let's just strip the Pri Minister too and make it a ménage à trois!"
Scared out of his mind by Greek plays.
Even though the thods were quite unscrupulous, he did manage to obtain intelligence that was crucial for Xue Dili.
The Pri Minister and Super Beast No. 1 are in so sort of cooperative relationship; it's just unclear how he commands No. 1.
But it's evident there's an issue among the high ranks; at least so of them are problematic.
He felt like he'd stepped into the court of the Southern Song, where there were factions for surrender and factions for war; the surrender faction wanted to kill him and even colluded with external enemies, while the war faction, although willing to protect him, was utterly incompetent.
Sitting on the rooftop, he felt the strong winds brushing through his hair and across his face, and saw the gang across from him, being used as pawns without knowing it, their faces full of astonishnt and puzzlent.
Chances are, these gang mbers attacking him don't even know he's the 'Monarch'; they probably just think they're escorting so ordinary person as a special agent, hence their recklessness.
If they knew Xue Dili's real identity, they wouldn't have co with just one rocket launcher; they'd have more, or perhaps even a 76mm vehicle-mounted anti-tank gun, and even that would only be effective against his original form, not with him currently possessed by an alien demon.
"Bang!"
An agent in the vehicle ahead counterattacked, gunfire rang out, and the driver of the off-road vehicle let out a scream.
The whole off-road vehicle began to shake out of control, completely losing control and crashing into the guardrail.
"A-Xing..." Xue Dili uttered, and the young man instantly understood what Xue Dili ant.
In the next mont, a stream of water instantly transford into a blade, slicing the vehicle in half. Blood and screams filled the entire cabin, as the mixture of bodily tissues and blood slowly seeped onto the ground.
Looking at the carnage in the distance, Xue Dili continued to ponder.
If I were attacked without any intelligence, what would my next move be?
Would I turn around and leave?
No, regardless of the situation, I would go there. That's just a simple reverse psychology.
Using this mindset, he would definitely head to the Twin Towers.
That's where the real kill shot is—a flying beast weighing thousands of tons descending from the sky.
Now that he knows the enemy's plan, then...
...
"Monarch, the eting is ready." An agent opened the car door for Xue Dili respectfully, and professionally put on white gloves while doing it.
The bullet-ridden luxury car stopped in the square in front of the Twin Towers, and Xue Dili got out with his three little companions, walking into the Twin Towers.
"Hmm, take the car for repairs, have it ready before my eting ends." Xue Dili casually handed the keys to the agent.
"Yes, Monarch."
Looking up, he saw the tallest building in the world, the nearly hundred-story Twin Towers.
This is the political center of the Human Alliance, a resting place for high-ranking officials and noble family mbers. The wealthiest comrcial streets in the entire Imperial Capital form an outer ring around the Twin Towers.
If a high-speed flying object were to crash here, in an instant, more than half of the Imperial Capital's administration would be paralyzed, causing significant impacts on the surrounding economy and population.
What would the next move be, seizing power?
The Human Alliance in this world operates under a constitutional monarchy with multiple power structures; the Royal Family handles administration and coordination, Parliant handles legislation and major decision-making, and the Pri Minister is in charge of military and external city planning.
If Parliant is gutted, who benefits the most?
The Emperor? Or the Pri Minister, who might currently be suffering final humiliation at the hands of Odysseus?
And while Xue Dili was pondering, in the Consciousness Space, where Birdman Armor used to be, the last piece of paper appeared.
"When you receive this intelligence, I will already be back in the Netherworld. The original plan was to climb into the Emperor's bed, but I found out there is no Emperor at all.
The real Emperor died 7 years ago. The current 'Emperor' is a complete puppet, and the Empress has been holding power for 7 years.
The previous intelligence was wrong; the Pri Minister is under the Empress, and she holds leverage over Super Beast No. 1 with a little girl, No. 1's biological sister. That's her bargaining chip to command Super Beast No. 1. anwhile, beneath the Imperial Capital, they're cultivating a terrifying 'synthetic Super Beast King,' although I haven't obtained more intel on the Super Beast King yet.
The Giant Beast Serum isn't human technology; it was deciphered from technology found by the Royal Research Institute on a crashed spaceship.
Listen, Xediles, it's like there's a giant net shrouding the whole world, and this foolish Empress is just a piece within it. She thinks she's in control, but she's rely an idiot influenced by power, even secretly causing her son's death because the Prince was competing with her for power.
Lastly, the body you're in now is a distant relative of the Empress."
Xue Dili closed his eyes, and in the next mont, the Birdman Armor was summoned back. However, Odysseus was no longer inside; only the tattered, smoke-covered, and magic-infused armor remains, with nurous scars that suggest Odysseus had experienced a tough battle.
Even on the panel, the Birdman Armor displayed a ssage "Damaged, self-repairing in progress."
It was difficult for this hero who relied on intelligence and strategy.
Though the ans of obtaining intelligence were despicable, Odysseus was such a person. He had no morals or compassion, only the most efficient way to gather intelligence and execute plans.
And now, the information he provided was enough to support Xue Dili's next move.
"Thanks, Odysseus." Xue Dili smiled as the information in his hand turned to ashes.
"Teacher, what's wrong?" Wu Li noticed the change in Xue Dili's mood and asked.
"No, nothing, follow inside. This internal farce can finally end."
The large group and three smaller ones entered the conference hall. It was clear that the three were a bit anxious, but the timid one surprisingly handled it the best. Perhaps he's always hanging his head low in any situation.
anwhile, the other two showed varying degrees of hesitation, especially Cloud Star, who seed to recognize soone among the mbers—a patriarch from the noble family he worked for.
Inside the Parliant Hall, solemnity and silence intertwined. The mbers sat on high-backed chairs, dressed in formal black suits. The most striking feature was a sculpture—a bust of the Great Sage, with intricately carved facial details, even the beards were vividly clear.
In such a place, there would even be a statue of the old man...
Just as Xue Dili was mulling over this, a voice ca through.
"Monarch Joel Xiu was attacked on the way here. It seems our information was not wrong." A mber spoke.
Then, the entire eting instantly turned serious. Another person looked at Xue Dili, seemingly the Speaker of the Parliant, and bowed slightly. He was dressed in a well-fitted suit, with precise tailoring and straight lines, his dium build but the confidence exuded from within could not be ignored by his appearance.
"Our information isn't wrong. Lord Joel Xiu, if you want your students to participate in this struggle, you may continue to let them stay here, but I'd still advise you to let them leave."
But Xue Dili just motioned for him to continue speaking, ignoring him otherwise.
Seeing Xue Dili's nonchalant deanor, the Speaker of the Parliant seed a bit angry but quickly suppressed it, "Your Majesty, you might regret this."
"Go on, also, I am the Monarch!"
This sentence left the Speaker montarily stunned, visibly causing his anger to surge, seemingly wanting to storm out, but he ultimately restrained himself, stating, "Ladies and Gentlen, according to my investigation, the Emperor is already dead."
The atmosphere in the eting room instantly beca oppressive to the extre.
The three small ones were directly stunned, and each looked at their teacher. Xue Dili rely signaled them to remain silent and keep listening.
"Now, the one controlling the Imperial Palace might be the Empress, and we've been deceived for who knows how many years. We must find a way to impeach this 'false Emperor' and purge the surrounding!" His tone was extrely impassioned, but his plan made Xue Dili's vision go dark...
Other people have already started hiring assassins, and if there's no accident, there will soon be unidentified flying objects crashing into the Twin Towers. Yet here, they're still talking about impeaching the Emperor...
It's almost like watching a legislator running kiloters to climb over a wall to the city hall and revoke a presidential order—laughable, he thought, looking at this group of parliantary mbers and nobles who believed they controlled the entire Human Federation. Among them were the nobles from the family Cloud Star worked at, as well as soone from the timid one's father-in-law's family...
But when it ca to gathering people together, at least, he thought they were seizing military power. But it turned out to be just impeachnt...
How could they possibly save humanity while with these worthless insects?
At this mont in the sky, a giant beast weighing thousands of tons seed to receive a signal and dive down from nearly ten thousand ters high.
This height was a region undetectable by both human technology and Spiritual Techniques. When this giant bird swooped down, the energy it carried instantly reached ten tis that of a Boeing 767.
Even so, the mbers of the Parliant remained clueless, still inside the eting room discussing how to proceed with the impeachnt, how to speech-make and campaign, strive to gather votes from all the cities, dethrone the Emperor, and then install a younger, more vigorous Prince.
Little did they know, from the sky, the giant beast had already taken aim at this place, beginning the physical removal of a Monarch along with nearly a hundred oblivious representatives.
Others have started playing with physics; this was already the second ti they've deployed a giant beast toward the Imperial Capital, yet they're still here voting on motions.
By this ti, the entire building was suddenly filled with blaring alarms that pierced through the comrcial street and resonated above the Imperial Capital.
Pedestrians on the nearby comrcial street looked up, stunned in place. The shadow of a giant bird appeared faintly overhead, its wings spread out like cloud sails, each flap stirring up a gale, with billowing clouds.
Trembling with terror, they stared up at this uninvited guest from the sky. On the street, people in the comrcial street ran in panic. Children widened their eyes, their faces a mix of fear and confusion.
With the added boost of gravity, the energy of the giant beast at this point had reached the level of dozens of airplanes. It was only when the shadow from above beca increasingly large that the people in the Twin Towers felt their scalps tingle.
The giant beast, the giant beast was beginning to collide with the Twin Towers!
Flying giant beasts were exceedingly rare due to their weight, and most winged giant beasts couldn't fly and ended up like grounded chickens.
But even so, there were still a few populations of flying giant beasts that continued. Any one of them possessing intelligence would bring unimaginable disasters to humanity.
And now, its target was the Twin Towers!
