Early the next morning, when Fafnir opened her eyes, she sat up in bed startled.
She originally intended to wait in the room for her teacher’s return. According to her guess, the teacher must have teleported elsewhere to attend to other matters, thus not being in the room. However, she waited for quite a while on the bed and unintentionally fell asleep.
And now, the sun was already high. Teacher?
She got up in confusion, discovering a blanket over herself. The weather was getting cooler, with night temperatures dropping to only ten degrees, and she hadn’t burrowed under the covers when she arrived to wait.
Yet now, covered by the blanket, Fafnir felt remarkably stupefied, her toes in white silk instantly curled up, and she felt like she could use her toes to dig out a three-room apartnt from the bed.
When she hurriedly rushed out of the room, she saw Xue Dili, who was already brushing his teeth, his mouth full of toothpaste foam, mumbling indistinctly: "Awake?"
"Mm..." Fafnir’s voice was very faint, feeling her face burning as if it could steam.
"Next ti don’t go to the wrong room again, and rember to cover yourself with a blanket in this cooler weather." Xue Dili reminded her lightly.

"Teacher, I’ll go make breakfast," Fafnir said.
"Okay." Xue Dili, having rinsed his mouth, continued brushing his teeth habitually.

He embarked on a path completely different from the Great Sage; the old guy had deep magical expertise and could reach Quasi-Tier Five through magic alone, while Xue Dili focused almost entirely on ritual studies.
It seed he was more like a Mystic Scholar rather than a Mage.

Regrettably, Old Green was gone, and Xue Dili was uncertain if he’d ever get to invoke his spirit again.

"Wow, is breakfast made by Sister Fafnir today?" Little Dragon Lady exclaid after washing her face thoroughly at her aunt’s behest.
She carried a flower pot in her hands, the pot housing her younger sister, Xue Lingshu.
Little Flower Fairy’s routine greatly differed from others, even having distinct lifestyle habits; inherently a plant, she preferred sunlight and water, usually needing just watering in her pot.
When wanting to go out, she’d simply pull herself from the pot, wash away the dirt, and be ready.
"Yes, I made breakfast today..." Fafnir managed to smile, raising her toes to pat Little Dragon Lady’s head.
Little Dragon Lady revealed a blissful expression, eagerly tapping the bowl on the table, while pouring pre-prepared water from her side into her sister’s flower pot.
Though Little Tree Lady didn’t open her eyes, sensing the water, she instinctively opened her mouth, drinking the trickling water, and said: "Stale water... this plain water is bland..."
"Oh no, wrong one!" Little Dragon Lady checked the kettle and rushed back to her room to fetch another batch of freshly prepared water.
"Ah!" Little Tree Lady again opened her mouth, her entire body planted in the soil, with just the head above, showing a satisfied expression.
Very soon, the aunt, apparently still half-awake, scratched her head again, arriving at the table, and said: "Thanks, Fafnir."
Xue Dili also descended from upstairs as Fafnir presented the first bowl of noodles with fried eggs: "Teacher, breakfast!"
"Good." Xue Dili took the breakfast and began eating.
"Wow, Sister Fafnir is biased! I was the first to co, so why give breakfast to Dad first! Sister is biased, sister is biased..." Little Dragon Lady chid in, creating a fuss.
