Miss Yun was cultivating at ho.

Xu Chang’an was also working.

The Chaoyun Sect has countless Disciple Peaks, each with its own school for teaching ordinary people from the Lower Realm without any affiliation.

After all, not everyone is qualified to have a Guide. Those disciples without a Guide can only attend classes at the Sword Hall.

On a typical Disciple Peak, even if there are few disciples from the mortal world, they are not fewer than hundreds or thousands.

Only Muyu Peak... hardly receives any fresh blood, so its Sword Hall remains empty, occupying an area of dozens of miles, yet only one woman actually lives there.

Nevertheless, Xu Chang’an would co here weekly to maintain the vast Sword Hall, tending to the flowers in the courtyard, clearing the weeds, and cleaning dozens of schools and the large locust tree in the courtyard.

The weeds in this Sword Hall were extraordinarily tough, and only after Xu Chang’an reached the Qi Cultivation Ninth Layer could he cut them with his sword.

Even now, having opened the Source, the workload is much heavier than his job at the Steward Hall.

Moreover, because the central area of the Sword Hall is filled with Array Barriers, and his eyes can clearly see all arrays and barriers, he must carefully avoid those "fragile" and "easily broken" arrays while cleaning to prevent damaging the facilities.

This might be the only job on Muyu Peak where he simply spends ti without earning any Contribution Points, an incredibly challenging task, yet he perseveres rain or shine.

...

Xu Chang’an spent more than half a day tending to the entire Sword Hall, then waved to disperse the Water Attribute Spiritual Qi, freshening the air.

Recently, it’s been raining frequently, so avoiding the Array Barriers to deal with the accumulated water required extra thought.

Xu Chang’an raised his hand to gently wipe away so sweat from his forehead. Upon completing his work, he looked toward the main building, bowed deeply, and seriously said, "Sir, the student takes his leave."

Because cleaning here required excessive concentration of Spiritual Power, Xu Chang’an even felt fatigued, and the Spiritual Qi within his Elixir Field had significantly diminished.

As usual, after cleaning, he bowed to leave.

But to Xu Chang’an’s surprise... a bell rang out from the direction of the main building, a majestic sound dispelling the weary atmosphere, as the Spiritual Qi, invigorated by the sound waves, swirled around Xu Chang’an like the wind, rejuvenating his tired body and refreshing his spirit.

"Sir?!"

Xu Chang’an looked with joy toward the direction of the main building.

In the past, this bell usually ant...

It was ti for class.

Did the teacher have sothing to discuss with him?

Xu Chang’an’s pupils lightly quivered. He bent down, then took a deep breath and walked briskly toward the school.

——

Approaching the school, Xu Chang’an slowed his pace and eventually stopped, beginning to regulate his sowhat anxious breathing.

He wasn’t the type to easily lose his composure, able to maintain a calm and respectful deanor even in front of high-standing seniors.

However...

To Xu Chang’an, there was soone of utmost importance who could shatter his ntal Realm with a re bell sound or a single ruler.

That person, solemn and unadorned, had no friends in Muyu Peak—a place full of ladies—spending all day confined in the Sword Hall.

Xu Chang’an knew that much of his fondness and sense of belonging to the Chaoyun Sect and Muyu Peak ca from this teacher who guided him into the path of cultivation.

The teacher in the Sword Hall was his Guide.

Their strict and dignified deanor greatly benefited Xu Chang’an on his cultivation path with them.

When he ca up the mountain, he could have been likened to a blank slate, transford into his current self by the reclusive dweller of the Sword Hall.

To Xu Chang’an, he sincerely respected his teacher, genuinely viewing them as an elder, a ntor, even a master.

Though... the teacher never acknowledged being his master.

Since he reached the Qi Cultivation Sixth Layer, by rule, the teacher wouldn’t let him attend classes anymore because all the foundational knowledge had been thoroughly taught to him one-on-one.

But Xu Chang’an, deeply touched by their kindness, could never repay them, only causing trouble for the teacher over the past half-year... then, when he finally got on the right path, was he expelled from the Sword Hall?

Yet, knowing his teacher’s serious nature, when they said the teaching was over, continuing to pester them would only incur the teacher’s annoyance.

However, as a Steward of the Steward Hall, Xu Chang’an devised a little trick by coming weekly under the guise of managing the courtyard to do cleaning work, which left the teacher with nothing to complain about.

Thus, he went from a Qi Cultivation Sixth Layer novice to a Qi Cultivation Ninth Layer and, after being stuck for over half a year... finally succeeded in opening the Source recently.

But for all this ti, he had really not seen them even once.

Xu Chang’an once tried to learn about his teacher from others on Muyu Peak, but even soone like Wen Li had little impression of the Sword Hall teacher, only knowing her as an elder cultivator.

This reclusive figure was, nonetheless, the person Xu Chang’an respected most on the mountain.

"..."

Adjusting his attire, Xu Chang’an pulled out a ribbon to tie up his long hair at the back of his head.

He didn’t know why the teacher, after such a long ti, suddenly called for him.

As Xu Chang’an stepped halfway into the school, fluorite on both sides of the walls flickered alive, casting brilliant white light across the school interior.

The room wasn’t large, with a few desks placed on either side, and a two-person-wide aisle down the middle.

The end of the aisle was marked by a screen, adorned with a massive calligraphy painting.

Below the painting was a brown master’s chair, the back intricately carved with hollow patterns.

A close look would reveal that Xu Chang’an’s residence on Muyu Peak was similarly arranged.

Unquestionably, he was emulating the facility arrangent of the master here.

As the fluorite lit up, the sound of footsteps erged from behind the screen.

Upon hearing it, Xu Chang’an straightened his stance.

"Have you arrived?" The voice was heard before the person was seen.

It was a gentle female voice.

Xu Chang’an remained in place, and after a mont, soone stepped out from behind the screen, unlike most gorgeously dressed won on Muyu Peak. This woman wasn’t wearing a dress but an utterly neat and plain Daoist robe, long hair tied at the waist, gathered into a crown, tied with a black ribbon.

The woman’s face was rather ordinary, leaving no impression of beauty, slightly pale, seemingly under thirty, with no embellishnt on her face, carrying a calm deanor.

Her Daoist robe bore no insignia of any array, appearing sowhat faded and even worn-out, as if from frequent washing.

Xu Chang’an knew the teacher wasn’t a nun, not a Kun Dao, just accustod to this way of dressing.

Simply put, a Daoist nun, not a Kun Dao.

As she erged, the air was infused with a faint herbal fragrance.

But when Xu Chang’an saw her, with just one calm glance from her, he stood up straight, speaking with fervent eyes.

"Chang’an... greets the teacher."
