In the Island Lord’s room, Jingyue and Yin Li stared blankly at the Abyss before them, finding it sowhat hard to believe.
Within the Abyss, there was nothing but darkness and an ominous aura.
’If these things get out, won’t the entire Liyuan Island be destroyed?’
Jingyue was a little confused. "Why are these things here? Does anyone else know?"
The Island Lord said, "Many people don’t know, but the Holy Land knows a thing or two. Your Junior Martial Uncle went to this very place.
"So, when he didn’t co out as scheduled over a decade ago, it probably ant he was never coming out again."
Jingyue frowned. No one in the Holy Land had ntioned this to her.
They just sent her to find soone. ’Those bastards, always setting up the Saintess.’
’Aren’t they sending to my death?’
Then, the Island Lord added, "Actually, this place wasn’t that dangerous before. It’s just that a sudden change occurred yesterday, and the Abyss could no longer be suppressed.
"This isn’t a Seal. As for what it is, we don’t know either.
"My lineage rely acts as guardians here. There’s very little we can do.
"And temporarily suppressing it is the limit of our abilities."
Jingyue asked, "So to find our Senior Martial Uncle, we have to go in? Given the current situation, can we even survive if we go in?"
The Island Lord shook his head. "It’s different. This spot directly faces the Abyss. Your Senior Martial Uncle isn’t here. He’s further in, where it’s not as extre as this.
"But the Abyss is about to erge now, so safety must co first.
"When the ti cos, I’ll have Yin Li lead you in. Lan Yue will probably take another route. We also need to go in and retrieve so things.
"This place probably can’t be held any longer."
At this, Yin Li said worriedly, "Master, shouldn’t we have the island’s residents evacuate? There are still ordinary people here. It’s too dangerous for them to stay."
The Island Lord said, "Don’t worry, it’s already being arranged. A full evacuation can be completed in a few days."
Hearing the Island Lord say this, Yin Li relaxed a little. Then she asked, "What about my older sister? Is she setting out with us?"
"No, she’ll go in with her own martial brothers," the Island Lord replied.
Jingyue frowned. ’This is really a bad start.’ Trouble could have struck at any ti, but it just had to happen right when they arrived.
She even suspected Su Qi’s Misfortune Coin was to bla.
Jingyue felt like nothing had gone smoothly for her recently.
She could only hope that the search for their Senior Martial Uncle would go a little better this ti.
After a mont, Jingyue asked, "So, when do we set out?"
The Island Lord said, "The sooner, the better. The Compass can’t suppress it for much longer."
Jingyue nodded. "Tomorrow, then. We’ll leave first thing in the morning. But how long will it take, roughly?"
The Island Lord shook his head. He wasn’t sure about that either, as he hadn’t ventured deep inside much himself. But he couldn’t venture in now anyway; he needed to stand guard here.
If sothing went wrong, he could still send out a warning in ti.
And to retrieve the items inside, one had to be below Tier Five, which was why he had no choice but to call Lan Yue over.
Now that the Yue Lian Holy Land Saintess had arrived, it was even better. Plus, it was on her way.

anwhile, Su Qi, who was at ho, soon received a call from Jingyue.
"We’re leaving tomorrow morning? So soon?" Su Qi complained into the phone.
’Just how busy are we supposed to be?’ They had just finished the sacrificial rite, and now they had to jump right into sothing else.
They had only rested for two days.
Then she turned to look at Jiang Zuo. ’At least there’s still one more day. That’s not too bad.’
After agreeing, Su Qi hung up the phone.
As Su Qi looked at Jiang Zuo, he naturally noticed. He could only sigh inwardly.
’Why can’t these people see things through to the end?’
’Why did it have to end so soon?’
’The sacrificial rite was supposed to last ten days to half a month, but in the end, how many days was it? Four? Or five?’
He could only hope this next task would take a bit longer.
That would give him so ti to recuperate. Once he reached Tier Two, his leveling speed would slow down, and he wouldn’t have to pull all-nighters for Cultivation.
Just then, Su Qi ca to Jiang Zuo’s side and said, "I’m leaving to find my Senior Martial Uncle tomorrow. Senior Sister said she doesn’t know how many days it will take."
Jiang Zuo nodded. With the Hairband, Su Qi would basically be fine.
’The level of this Hairband is unexpectedly high.’
Then Su Qi added, "When I get there, I’ll see if there’s any signal. If there is, I’ll call you whenever I have a free mont.
"Okay?"
Jiang Zuo could only nod. ’Truthfully, I’m sotis even busier than she is. It would be best if she didn’t bother .’
’But what can I do? She’s my wife.’
Then, Su Qi smiled and hugged Jiang Zuo. "So, shall we... go to bed? We’ll be separated for a few days again. That’s a long ti."
Jiang Zuo: "..."
Finally, Jiang Zuo said, "Actually, we could do sothing else aningful."
Su Qi looked at Jiang Zuo, puzzled. "Sothing aningful? For a newlywed couple, what’s more aningful than sleeping together?
"Making babies?
"Isn’t that the sa thing?"
’Newlyweds?’
’They might be newlyweds, but how many years have they known each other?’
’Back then, that sort of thing really was the most aningful. But several years have passed. Isn’t it ti to find sothing else aningful to do?’
Then Jiang Zuo said, "For example, how about we watch a cartoon? Or play a ga of Ludo? If all else fails, we could get nostalgic and pull out a couple of difficult exam problems to calm our nerves?"
Su Qi’s expression instantly darkened.
"From now until tomorrow morning, you’re not getting out of this bed."
He was Jiang Zuo, a man who had road the heavens and the earth, fearing no danger or crisis. Throughout the world, none could withstand three of his strikes (with the exception of a future Jiu Xi).
He had never been afraid of trouble. Even when it ca to Jiu Xi, he only felt disgust, helplessness, and anger.
But he had never feared Jiu Xi in the slightest.
But today... his dignity could no longer support him.
"Can... can we discuss this a little more...?"
Looking at Su Qi’s expression, Jiang Zuo knew this was a perfectly normal developnt.
’Yep. No room for negotiation whatsoever.’
In the end, Jiang Zuo conceded. "Let’s go to bed."
Su Qi giggled. "I’m going to go change into sothing else."
Jiang Zuo: "..."
’Is that really necessary?’
***
The next morning, Su Qi rubbed her eyes and said, "I’m so tired."
Jiang Zuo stared at her with lifeless eyes. ’Who is she to say that? If anyone should be saying it, it’s .’
Then Su Qi giggled. "You’ve worked hard, Mr. Jiang Zuo. I’m very satisfied with your performance.
"I’ll let it slide this ti. But if you dare to show distaste for your wife again, I won’t be so lenient. Hee hee."
Jiang Zuo: "..., I wasn’t showing distaste. I just think it’s better for a married couple to watch TV or play so chess. To add a little more variety to life."
"We can talk about that when we’re an old married couple. We’re newlyweds, newlyweds!" Su Qi said as she slipped on a pink nightgown.
Jiang Zuo watched Su Qi get dressed, then said, "Isn’t that a little... skimpy?"
"How much do you want to wear at ho? This is comfortable. I’ll go make you breakfast. There should be so ingredients stocked here." With that, Su Qi got out of bed.
Watching Su Qi’s retreating figure, Jiang Zuo let out a sigh.
He suddenly felt a little nostalgic for the days when Su Qi was away on business trips.
Jiang Zuo had a feeling that Su Qi was doing this on purpose.
Fortunately, Su Qi was leaving with her Senior Sister today to find their Senior Martial Uncle. He could just watch over her secretly.
’Freedom. It’s a holiday again.’
