Arthur Whitlock froze, his face instantly turning pale as his body trembled with rage.
He had always moved against the Sinclair Family in secret. Although the other Great Families in Kingsford knew perfectly well what was happening, no one would ever speak of it openly.
He never expected that as soon as Aurora Sinclair returned, she would drag this all into the light and challenge the Whitlock Family so brazenly.
She was forcing the Whitlock Family to respond. Otherwise, they would be seen as being pushed around by a second-rate family in Kingsford from now on.
But given Aurora Sinclair’s current strength, he feared the situation with the Vance Family was about to change.
Seeing his father’s face darken without a word, Kian Whitlock slamd his fist on the table in a fit of rage.
He said harshly, "Dad, that Aurora Sinclair is completely out of line! We have to teach her a lesson!"
That little monster sent his own brother to The International Penitentiary, got his dad suspended from the Martial Affairs Bureau for a year, had his cousin kicked out of the Morgan Family, and caused his aunt to be cut off from the Morgan family’s businesses. She had destroyed years of the Whitlock Family’s planning in one fell swoop. She was a walking disaster!
But Arthur Whitlock remained silent, seemingly hesitant.
Seeing this, Kian Whitlock stood up abruptly and impulsively strode toward the door. "Dad, I absolutely refuse to stand for this—"
"Co back!" Arthur Whitlock finally spoke, his gaze sharp as he looked at his son. "Those who achieve great things must be able to endure what others cannot."
"Are we just going to take this lying down? Hasn’t she made our family suffer enough? The foundation of the Whitlock Family is almost completely destroyed! Look at the Morgan and Lockwood families’ relationship now, and then look at how they treat us. They’re slowly distancing themselves from the Whitlocks..."
Kian Whitlock’s face was livid, his voice so loud that it drew his mother, Sandra Sutton, to the room.
An elegant lady with a weary expression pushed the door open and entered. "What are you two doing so late at night? Aren’t you going to sleep?"
Kian Whitlock’s eyes lit up when he saw her. He strode over quickly. "Mom, Aurora Sinclair is back."
Sandra Sutton froze mid-yawn, her face instantly contorting with anger. "That wild girl is back?"
Kian Whitlock nodded quickly. "She is, and she had the nerve to issue a challenge to our family the mont she returned!"
A sneer ford on Sandra Sutton’s face. She looked sharply at Arthur Whitlock and said harshly, "How absurd! Since she dared to issue a challenge, then don’t hold back. Kill her!"
Arthur Whitlock pinched the bridge of his nose, a headache forming. "Don’t you start adding to the chaos..."
", adding to the chaos? Arthur Whitlock, my son is still rotting in prison!"
Whenever Sandra Sutton thought of her older son’s miserable state, her heart ached as if pierced by a knife, and she wished she could strangle Aurora Sinclair on the spot.
After so many years of marriage, Arthur Whitlock naturally understood her feelings. But the power Aurora Sinclair had revealed tonight was far beyond what the Whitlock Family could handle. More importantly, for her to be so bold, she must have an ace up her sleeve...
’Wait, could Alvin Morgan be back?’
If Alvin Morgan was the one who put her up to this, then the Whitlock Family absolutely could not afford to be reckless. They had to lay low.

"Why?" Sandra Sutton cried out, exasperated.
"Alvin Morgan might be back..."
So of Sandra Sutton’s fiery anger subsided.
It wasn’t that she was afraid of Alvin Morgan, but that he was just too brilliant.
When it ca to scheming in all of Kingsford, no one could outplay him.
Seeing that they were on the sa page, Arthur Whitlock’s voice softened, and he spoke earnestly, "Sandra, our Whitlock Family naturally has no fear of the Sinclairs. But if we add my nephew to the equation, we have no choice but to reconsider our long-term strategy."
At that mont, Kian Whitlock sneered, "It’s just Alvin Morgan, isn’t it? Would he really dare to act so viciously against his own uncle’s family?"
"He already sent your brother to prison. What won’t he dare to do?"
At the ntion of this, Sandra Sutton’s anger flared up again.
Arthur Whitlock shot a glare at Kian Whitlock. "You, go outside. And for now, slow down all operations ant to suppress the Sinclair Family."
"Dad—"
"Go now!"
Kian Whitlock pressed his lips together and stord out of the room, his face flushed with anger.
Arthur Whitlock sighed. "Aurora Sinclair’s power is imnse. She’s at least a Great Martial King..."
"What?" Sandra Sutton covered her mouth in disbelief, a chill running down her spine. "Then what do we do? If she dared to issue you a challenge, she must know we’re the ones who have been suppressing the Sinclair Family..."
"With Alvin Morgan in the picture, she probably won’t make a direct move against the Whitlock Family for now. But if we really do manage to crush the Sinclairs, then all bets are off..."
Sandra Sutton sucked in a sharp breath, her eyes widening slowly.
"Keep an eye on our son for a while. Don’t let him go out and stir up trouble."
Sandra Sutton nodded with difficulty.
