Jade Sinclair rushed into the room, sighing in relief when she saw Jean Quincy hadn’t taken the dicine yet. Though annoyed with Aurora Sinclair’s behavior, she couldn’t let her displeasure show in front of Tanner Sinclair.

Her voice was stiff as she said to Aurora, "Aurora, I know you’re worried about Jean, but she has already been treated at the hospital. There’s no need to apply new dication."

When Stella Sinclair saw Aurora silently put the dicine back into her cloth pouch, she gloated inwardly. She glanced at Sue Quinn and ordered, "Matron Quinn, throw that harmful junk away! Aurora, you shouldn’t use that stuff either. It’s bad for your health!"

Sue Quinn strode forward smugly, reaching for the pouch on the bed. But Aurora was quicker, snatching the entire pouch and clutching it to her chest, refusing to let her touch it.

"Second Miss, this is all fake dicine. You can’t use it!" Sue Quinn said, her eyes filled with scorn, though her tone feigned concern.

Tanner Sinclair’s brow furrowed. He glanced at the two silent won beside him and said coolly, "Those are Aurora’s things. If they’re to be thrown out, she will be the one to do it. No one else has the right to touch them."

Sue Quinn’s expression froze, her hand hovering in midair. She glanced back at Hailey Gordon, who gave her a look to stand down. Resentfully, she took a few steps back.

On the bed, Jean saw Aurora clutching her pouch, forced into a corner by Sue Quinn. Her heart ached at the sight. As if steeling herself, she turned to Jade Sinclair. "Mom, I want to try Aurora’s dicine!"

At these words, Jade Sinclair’s expression changed in an instant. She snapped, "Jean Quincy, you’ve already paid the price for being reckless! Are you going to be reckless again? Aurora doesn’t know any better, but don’t you?"

"Mom, I can’t take the arts exam anymore," Jean cried out, her eyes brimming with tears. "It’s a long shot, but what do I have to lose?"

Jade Sinclair froze, her expression softening as she was visibly moved.

The atmosphere in the room grew heavy. Mother and daughter stared at each other, neither speaking, neither backing down.

At this point, Hailey Gordon, who had been silent, stepped in to diate. "Jean, don’t speak to your mother that way. She’s only doing what’s best for you. Just look at her. How many tis do you think she’s cried since you were injured?"

Seeing the redness in her mother’s eyes, Jean was overco with guilt. She quickly apologized, but she still wanted to try the dicine. "Mom," she pleaded, "it’s just a topical ointnt Aurora brought. It’s not like I’m eating it; it can’t kill . Please, just let try it! What if this folk redy actually works?"

Jade Sinclair was torn.

Sue Quinn seized the chance to interject. "Miss Jean, you shouldn’t say that. Even a topical ointnt can be harmful. What if your foot would have healed just fine, but this stuff makes you permanently la?"

As soon as she heard that, Jade Sinclair’s wavering resolve hardened. "That’s right, Jean! Don’t you dare use it! You need to follow the doctor’s advice, understand?"

"But..."

"No!"

Jean’s face fell. She flopped back onto the bed, pulled the covers tightly over her head, and began to sob.

Jade Sinclair’s heart ached for her daughter, but she was also filled with resentnt, which now extended to Aurora. "Aurora, you should leave," she said, her voice cold. "Jean needs to rest!"

Beside them, Stella shot Sue Quinn an approving glance, a smirk spreading across her face.

Just then, Zeke Quincy, who had remained silent until now, stepped in front of Aurora.

"Mom, let her try it. I trust that the dicine Aurora brought isn’t fake."

A flicker of surprise crossed Jade Sinclair’s eyes. This son of hers had never given her any cause for worry; he never did anything unless he was certain of the outco.

Hearing him say this, she began to hesitate once more.

’Could the dicine in Aurora’s hands actually work?’

"Shawn, why are you encouraging this foolishness?" Hailey Gordon asked, her expression disapproving.

"Aurora doesn’t lie," Zeke replied gravely.

The words died on Hailey Gordon’s lips.

Seeing her chance, Sue Quinn chid in, "Young Master, Second Miss might not lie, but that doesn’t an the people around her won’t deceive her! That so-called master of hers—I’ve seen him with my own two eyes. He’s nothing but a charlatan..."

Before she could finish her sentence, a rock-hard fist shot toward Sue Quinn’s face, whistling through the air with unstoppable Power.

The fist stopped just a centiter from her eye. "AHHH—!" she shrieked, her legs giving out as she collapsed to the floor, trembling uncontrollably.

A dangerous aura emanated from Aurora, growing more intense by the second. The faces of the two n in the room, Tanner and Zeke, paled as an unprecedented pressure bore down on them.

She slowly retracted her fist, her expression grave as she stared down at Sue Quinn.

She said, her voice firm, "My master is not a charlatan!"

Her voice rang out, firm and resonant, completely unlike her usual timid tone.

Hailey Gordon was montarily stunned. Stella was the first to react, pointing a trembling finger at Aurora and shrieking, "What do you think you’re doing? How dare you get physical!"
