Seeing this, Hailey Gordon acted as if she were clutching at straws. She stepped in front of Stella Sinclair and barked, "Janet Sinclair, don’t you go too far! If you keep pushing us, the Lockwood family won’t let you get away with it!"
But Janet Sinclair just looked at Hailey Gordon as if she were watching a clown. She turned impatiently to Linton Sinclair. "Big Brother, haven’t you told them the truth yet? It’s not healthy to keep living in a fantasy!"
Linton Sinclair looked utterly embarrassed. He snatched the business card from Stella Sinclair’s hand and scolded, "You made a mistake, so you need to apologize properly!"
"Give it back to —" Stella Sinclair shrieked, lunging for it, but the Sinclair bodyguards grabbed her arms.
She thrashed about frantically, her eyes glued to the business card, screaming as if she’d gone insane. Linton Sinclair was so furious he slapped her right across the face.
Hailey Gordon instantly flew into a rage. She strode forward, her hands clawing for Linton Sinclair’s face as she scread viciously, "Linton Sinclair, you’re a monster—"
Seeing her spineless brother getting clawed at and beaten by his wife, Janet Sinclair gave the bodyguards a aningful look, and they pulled him to safety.
The bodyguards each grabbed one of Hailey Gordon’s arms, restraining her.
Hailey Gordon thrashed in their grip, cursing the Sinclair family and every one of their ancestors.
But Janet Sinclair simply held up her phone and pressed play. The sound of Hailey Gordon’s own recent curses and blatant threats filled the air, causing her to imdiately fall silent.
If looks could kill, Hailey Gordon’s glare would have killed Janet Sinclair hundreds of tis over.
Janet Sinclair held out a hand to Linton Sinclair and said coolly, "Ti to return that to its rightful owner, don’t you think?"
The hysterical Stella Sinclair froze at these words, staring blankly at Janet Sinclair as if she didn’t understand what she ant.
Janet Sinclair glanced at her, then raised a hand to stroke her hair. "Stella," she said gravely, "you need to understand your place. You and Aurora are different. You grew up in the Sinclair family; everything you have was given to you by this family. Your every word and deed represents the Sinclairs. If the family falls, you’ll go down with it!"
It was a blunt statent, and Stella Sinclair was furious. With red-rimd eyes, she yelled, "How are we different? She’s caused so much trouble since she ca back, and you all forgive her. Why is it different when it cos to ? You all just play favorites—"
Janet Sinclair watched her vent with an indifferent expression, then chuckled. "That’s right. We play favorites. Her parents died when she was six, yet she was branded a jinx and sent to the mountains to train in martial arts. You, on the other hand, grew up with healthy parents and received the best education in Kingsford. The most valuable thing she owns is her school uniform, while any single one of your outfits costs hundreds of tis more. Both of you are daughters of the Sinclair family. Stella Sinclair squird under Janet Sinclair’s words and retorted loudly, "If she hadn’t been so abnormal as a child, she wouldn’t have been sent away..."
At those words, the smile on Janet Sinclair’s face instantly vanished. All warmth drained from her eyes, and the sight was so frightening that Stella Sinclair instinctively shrank back, a cold shiver running down her spine.

Stella Sinclair was taken aback, and her anger began to flare up again, but Janet Sinclair didn’t give her the chance. She held up the gold business card, shattering Stella’s last shred of confidence. "You really want this card, don’t you? But it doesn’t belong to you. The Lockwood Heir gave this to Aurora at the airport. He told us himself—he doesn’t know you. He only knows Aurora Sinclair!"
