After a few long minutes, the call ended, and Ada let out a long, tired sigh. "Do we really have to go there? I’m so tired..." Ada pouted as she pointed to her hip. "You’ve worn out, you know?"

Vergil smiled and comnted, "I don’t rember that... I just rember you screaming... ’More! More! Harder! That’s it, baby!’" Vergil joked, and Ada’s face turned red as a tomato.

"D-don’t say that!" She said nervously, and he put his hand on her hair and smiled.

"We have to help the helpless maid, or she’ll end up dying." Vergil laughed and raised his hand, creating a huge red teleportation circle with the Agares Clan mark.

"Do you want to hold my hand, or are you going to pretend you know the way yourself?" he teased with a slight smile, pulling her into the magic circle.

Ada rolled her eyes. "Vergil, you’re really annoying when you want to be, you know? Activate that circle before my mother turns the entire territory into a giant pulsating artery."

"Romantic," he muttered, touching the seal in the center of the circle.

The energy around them crackled. The world faded like paint being washed away from reality, and the last thing Ada saw before darkness was Sapphire’s mansion disappearing like smoke in a breeze.

In the blink of an eye... They were in Balatrion, the Territory of the Baal Clan.

The floor was made of black marble, always shiny. But now... there were cracks, as if sothing had pulsed beneath the stone, forcing it to give way. The imnse columns of the main gate were intact—but they vibrated.

Vergil was the first to step onto the ground, and as soon as his feet touched the clan’s land, his eyes narrowed.

An invisible pressure fell upon him like a living wall. The air grew thick, almost solid. He gritted his teeth, and for the first ti in a long ti, Vergil felt his skin prickle.

"This..." he whispered.

Ada appeared beside him a second later, but as soon as she materialized, she staggered a step backward.

"That aura... Mother?" she murmured.

Vergil closed his eyes for a mont. "I’ve felt sothing like this only three tis in my life."

Ada looked at him, waiting.

"The first ti was when I t Sapphire..." He said, rembering that mont when he saw the redhead for the first ti... ’If only I had been strong enough to face that aura...’ Vergil thought before refocusing and continuing.

"The second ti... was when my mother faced Sapphire in the middle of Los Angeles..."

Ada stopped and looked at him, curious about the third ti. "...And the third?"

Vergil took a deep breath, his gaze distant. "When I t Sun Wukong, right after he just killed the pope in front of ," Vergil just laughed.

However... Ada just remained in pure silence.

Ada’s eyes widened slowly as the ground beneath her feet shook more intensely. Not because of so physical earthquake—but because Raphaeline’s aura, wherever she was at that mont within the clan, was growing like a star about to explode.

"My mother... She really... has reached a very high point." Ada murmured, half frightened, half amazed.

Vergil smiled, but there was a hint of weariness in that smile. "Yeah. And now we’re going to have to stop her from... I don’t know, lting the castle walls with her own blood. Or absorbing the continent. Both seem equally likely."

They walked through the rubble of what had once been the grand main hall of Baal Castle. Now, everything lay in ruins.

Torn tapestries hung like ghostly shadows on the broken walls. Demonic armor lay lted, tal torsos collapsed as if they had lted from the inside out. The air was thick, charged with a crimson energy that made even the most powerful feel nauseous.

So servants lay in the corners, unconscious, their bodies trembling, their eyes glazed over. The re presence of the new entity that had erged from the sealing chamber was like spiritual poison.

At the end of the corridor, Ei—the head maid—was on her knees, in shock. Her hands trembled as she held what remained of a containnt talisman: nothing but cold ashes trickling through her fingers.

She looked up with effort as she noticed them approaching and scread, her voice torn by fear:

"Don’t co in! Don’t co near! She’s—"

BOOOOM.

A colossal explosion shook the castle’s foundations. A burst of red energy broke through the ceiling above them, cracking the stone as if it were thin glass. Incandescent fragnts fell like silent flas.

The magical pressure rose another level.

Vergil frowned, closing his eyes for a brief mont. He raised his hand slowly and spoke in a firm voice:

"Ada. Take care of the staff. Remove everyone who can still walk. Take them to the lower halls and keep the barriers active. If they stay here another minute... they’ll turn to dust."

Ada hesitated. Her eyes scanned the devastated hall, her expression torn between concern and fear.

"Are you going to... talk to her?"

Vergil smiled slightly, the cold gleam in his eyes intensifying.

"Soone has to go. And honestly, if you go... you’ll turn into liquid blood and be absorbed. Which would be a tragic waste, don’t you think?"

Before she could respond, he vanished in the blink of an eye—as if reality itself had swallowed him up.

In the next instant, his aura exploded in a purple glow, expanding like a slow-motion storm, pushing the air aside and silencing the echoes of destruction.

Vergil appeared in the heart of the castle, the stones trembling beneath his feet, the atmosphere distorted as if Hell itself were holding its breath.

He raised his voice, laden with irony, affection, and a hint of defiance:

"Raphaeline! My dear wife... can we go back to normal?"

The sound echoed like thunder throughout the Baal territory.

Vergil’s words echoed like an irreverent whisper inside a ruined temple — profane, intimate, provocative. He smiled at the crimson void that flickered around him, feeling the air vibrate like the strings of an instrunt about to break.

And then, the answer ca.
