'In the midst of everything going on with the celestial tournant... Gabriel is coming to visit us right now...' Vergil thought as he felt Gabriel watching him from behind. He was leading the way to the mansion's kitchen.

As soon as he arrived, he saw that the table was already set and waved to Gabriel. "Please sit down," he said with a gentle smile. But inside...

'I hope I get sothing out of this. I'm tired of doing favors or being nice in front of everyone and getting nothing.'

It wasn't just Vergil who had a bad feeling...

'Why does Father want... to have sex with this... demon...' Gabriel thought as he adjusted his dress to sit down.

While Gabriel focused on his own thoughts and interests, Sepphirothy was also quite intrigued… After all… She went to confront the Highfather for breaking so of the rules of their agreent, but…

He didn't even answer her; quite the opposite, she had to fight tatron, the divine spokesman… And now, after rejecting a eting, he personally sent a seraphim here… was this a joke?…

"Zex, Iridia," Vergil called. Although Sepphirothy had teleported them, it wasn't far, and they quickly returned ho. In fact, they had been lurking and listening to their conversation the entire ti they returned…

Sepphirothy had placed them in the woods behind the house, and since they were superhuman, running back was easy.

The first to appear was Iridia. Her hair was a little ssy, but she looked presentable. Then Zex arrived. Both were wearing their Maid uniforms.

They looked at Gabriel and for so reason felt familiar with that being… Gabriel, on the other hand…

"You're taming believers now? How sadistic," Gabriel blurted out, quickly covering his mouth.

Vergil looked at her with a very different look… it was okay for her to not like him, it was okay for her to be forced to go where she didn't want to, and it was okay for her to even insult him. After all, inferior beings in his eyes are nothing more than cockroaches, so his words are worthless… but…

"I see," Vergil said, and as he sat down, he simply said, "Then you can go away, you whore tad by your shitty god." He smiled, but the hostility he sent Gabriel made her see that… he wasn't just talking… He truly believed what he was saying…

Sepphirothy sighed and looked at Gabriel, shaking her head as if she had committed a serious cri.

"How dare you—" Gabriel tried to speak but stopped when he saw that aura of death emanating from Vergil's body.

"You fucking dare, how dare you call my dear maids... pet? Dosticated? The only dosticated one here is you, you fucking bitch." Vergil spoke, completely ignoring the Angel's presence.

"M-master, you don't need to—" Iridia tried to calm them down, after all... they could be the cause of the problem... they weren't supposed to be there, you know?... At least, that's what they thought; they didn't want to harm their master in any way.

"You didn't do anything wrong. It was Seraph fucking Gabriel who did it," he said, looking Gabriel in the eye. "Soone incompetent was sent to do a difficult and arduous task. I wonder what excuse Heavenly Father has for sending a fucking unloved bitch to try to have a relationship with ." Vergil spoke, making Iridia and Zex's faces pale...

"S-seraph," Iridia said.

"G-gabriel?" Zex finished.

The two looked at the woman sitting in the chair and could only feel… Nothing. Iridia and Zex had served the church for several years, enough years to morize the Bible backwards. They knew, or so they thought they knew, that Gabriel was… pathetic.

Archangel Gabriel, who claid to have communication skills, as a divine ssenger, and a few other things that Iridia and Zex now simply can't believe anymore… Communication skills? With whom? With just stupid humans? What kind of communication is this, calling them Pet without even knowing them?

"Girls, I'm sorry," Vergil said, looking at Iridia and Zex, who were once again surprised by the apology, but he didn't stop there… "I was worried that you wanted to transform into demons, and of course, complications could arise. But I worried that you would regret it, since you've served God since you were orphans. But now… I wonder who the demon is here." Vergil spoke, looking at Gabriel with a look of deep disappointnt, who flinched.

"How dare you look at like that?" Gabriel muttered irritably.

"Shut up, bow, and apologize," Vergil replied.

Gabriel paled, but didn't back down. The expression on his angelic features hardened.

"I won't apologize." The voice was firm, low, with that tone of authority that ca from centuries of orders and mandates. "I ca to fulfill a mission. I didn't co to humiliate myself through provocations."

Vergil didn't move. The room seed to press in around them; every syllable Gabriel spoke made the air tremble. The two maids, Iridia and Zex, exchanged a look, their hands trembling like clipped wings. Sepphirothy pressed her fingers against the edge of the table, her porcelain face too pale.

"Very well," Vergil said slowly, as if speaking to soone who had refused a simple favor. "Then get out of this shithole and never co back. You arrogant piece of shit."

Gabriel lifted her chin, offended, and opened her mouth to retort. But Vergil continued, his tone only colder, sharp as tallic paper.

"You can leave, and if possible, never show yourself in front of again. I don't have the ti or the heart to deal with a ridiculous, inferior being who thinks he can speak as he pleases without any consequences."

There was a mont of absolute silence—the kind that weighs heavily and makes the blood pound louder in your veins. Gabriel took a deep breath, as if gathering courage. His eyes, normally bearing the calm of a ssenger, now shone with a mixture of anger and disappointnt.

"I can't just—" he began, but Vergil interrupted him with a tiny gesture.

"You can," Vergil cut in. His voice was soft, almost a whisper, and that was what made it deadly. "You can bend your body, you can bend your head, you can accept that the world has other orders than the ones you know. Or you can leave. Choose."

Gabriel swallowed his answer. The armor-like defense he wore seed to crack inside; behind his tired eyes was the confusion of soone sent unprepared into the fury he encounters. Iridia stepped forward, the urge to intervene stabbing at her ribs.

"Master, please," she whispered, trembling. "No..."

Vergil gave her a look that silenced her without words.

"Listen carefully. As one of my family," he said, raising his voice slightly for the first ti. "No one should disrespect one of my family, like Iridia and Zex. That disgusting being disrespected soone I love and protect. What would you do in my place?"

"Kill her," Zex said dryly, her gaze barely human anymore... She was furious.

Vergil's laughter cracked in the room like steel being twisted—brief, clean, without heat. The sound bounced off the walls, ripping off the heavy silence like ripping off a label.

"Hahaha..." he laughed, but there was a cold edge to it, a dry pleasure. "Oh, damn. Sotis it's good to play with an angel a little. Thanks for helping see how these two would fare."

Sepphirothy chuckled, seeing Gabriel's expression... She was truly frightened after hearing a mortal tell Vergil to kill a Seraph so carelessly.

Vergil just smiled, and the smile didn't reach his eyes. The energy around him grew—not a warming heat, but a shadow that sucked color. A mantle of death, subtle and precise, slipped over Gabriel's skin like an ebony glove; the details in the fabric of his dress lost so of their shine, as if the light refused to hold them.

Gabriel, who had been trying to maintain his composure until then, shivered. His angelic face lost so of its rigidity; behind the trained authority was fear, and the fear spoke loudly:

"What... what are you doing?" His voice was frail, the word "doing" sounding more like a plea than an accusation. "D-don't touch ."

Vergil tilted his head, his eyes shining with sharp curiosity. He observed Sepphirothy like a scholar observes a rare specin—without wanton cruelty, but with all possible attention.

"Disrespectful," he murmured slowly. "You are most disrespectful, Gabriel. You brought a foul mouth that calls my servants dosticated and expects to swallow it with a smile? No."

There was a movent in Vergil—almost imperceptible—and the pressure of his presence increased. The aura of death that enveloped Sepphirothy didn't burn her; more than that, it occupied her space, compressing her thoughts, making her will slower than usual. It was like being subrged in ice water: she could move, but each gesture required more effort.

"I thought I'd use it to find out a few things," Vergil added, his voice low and deliberate, "to probe the intentions of these two." He pointed, without moving his head much, at Iridia and Zex. "They ca to talking about turning them into demons a few minutes ago before you showed up. Initially, I thought a lot of things, but now I'm sure it's not a problem."

He said with a smile and then looked at Gabriel. "After all, now they probably think angels are just humanoid pigeons."
