The floating coliseum was no longer a battlefield. It was an open wound in space itself.

The blue explosion of the collision between Dante and Sapphire had torn the sky like an old cloth. Fragnts of burnt clouds slowly swirled around the epicenter while discharges of energy raced like lightning trapped inside Alice’s do.

Up above, laughter echoed.

"HAH! That’s it! Again!"

Sapphire swung her colossal sword as if weight were irrelevant. Each blow opened a luminous scar in the air. Dante responded with Rebellion, enveloped in dense demonic energy, the impacts between the blades generating crackling sounds reminiscent of tectonic plates colliding.

They weren’t just fighting.

They were having fun.

Dante glided through the air after a violent impact, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth as he laughed.

"You’ve beco even more absurd!"

Sapphire surged forward like a blue teor.

"You haven’t seen anything yet!"

Her sword descended vertically. Dante crossed Rebellion overhead, but the impact was so brutal that the air beneath them imploded, unleashing a pulse of pressure that coursed through the entire coliseum.

That wave hit the ground.

And down there—

Vergil felt it.

He barely had ti to register the shift before Angelo appeared before him again.

This ti there was no preparation.

Angelo’s sword descended in a crushing arc.

Vergil spun Yamato and blocked, but the impact threw him back dozens of ters, his feet dragging across the ground as sparks flew from beneath the soles.

The force had increased again.

Angelo was evolving.

Vergil realized this imdiately.

Each exchange of blows was fueling so adaptation within that creature.

He took a deep breath as Angelo advanced again, heavy steps creating successive craters in the fragnted coliseum floor.

The next blow ca horizontally.

Vergil didn’t block.

He vanished.

A blue slash cut through space and he erged beside his opponent, Yamato cutting in a precise arc aid at the neck.

Angelo tilted his head at the last instant.

The blade only grazed the armor.

Even so, black sparks exploded.

Angelo reacted instantly.

His elbow moved like a hamr.

The impact struck Vergil’s ribs and hurled him against a destroyed structure, shattering stone and tal.

Vergil fell to his knees.

His body trembled.

Not from fear.

From the constant effort to keep up with soone who simply kept getting stronger.

He wiped the blood from his mouth and watched Angelo slowly walk towards him.

Each heavy step seed to carry more weight than the last.

More energy.

More density.

Vergil realized sothing else.

Angelo was learning.

Not just increasing strength.

He was reading patterns.

The way Vergil teleported.

The distance of the spatial slashes.

Even the ti it took him to react.

This was dangerous.

Very dangerous.

Angelo raised his sword again.

Vergil closed his eyes for an instant.

The next sequence began even before the blade fell.

Angelo attacked vertically.

Vergil slid to the side and executed a diagonal slash in space, opening a fissure that distorted the trajectory of his opponent’s sword.

Angelo’s blade passed a few centiters off target.

Vergil appeared behind him.

Three quick slashes cut through the armor joints.

Small explosions erupted.

Angelo spun imdiately, his sword whirling violently.

Vergil blocked.

The impact threw them both backward.

But now sothing was different.

Vergil had anticipated the reaction.

He lunged forward before Angelo could finish his movent.

Yamato flashed.

A single horizontal slash cut through the air.

The armor on Angelo’s chest opened again.

For a second—

Silence.

Then the energy around the warrior exploded.

The armor began to reconstruct itself in real ti.

Thicker.

Darker.

Heavier.

Angelo raised his head.

His eyes blazed with increasing intensity.

Vergil understood.

He too had evolved.

And his evolution was more brutal.

Angelo disappeared.

Vergil barely had ti to react.

The sword appeared, already descending towards him.

Impact.

Vergil was crushed against the ground, the resulting crater scattering debris for dozens of ters.

The air escaped his lungs.

Angelo raised his sword again.

Vergil rolled to the side at the last instant, the blade destroying the spot where his head had been.

He stood up quickly.

He breathed.

He thought.

He analyzed.

The fight wasn’t just about strength.

It was about adaptation.

And Vergil began to change his strategy.

He disappeared again, but this ti he didn’t reappear nearby.

Dozens of thin cuts began to appear in the air around Angelo.

Tiny spatial rifts.

A network. Trap.

Angelo advanced.

The instant he entered the area, the rifts activated.

Invisible cuts struck the armor from all angles.

Black explosions erupted around his body.

Vergil appeared above.

Yamato descended like lightning.

Direct impact.

The armor on Angelo’s shoulder shattered.

Fragnts flew.

For the first ti—

Angelo took a step back.

Vergil landed on the ground.

His chest rose and fell rapidly.

But his eyes were calm.

He had found an opening.

Angelo observed his own shoulder.

Regeneration began again.

But this ti it took a little longer.

Vergil noticed.

The energy consud was increasing.

Angelo raised his head.

And then sothing changed.

His aura exploded again.

Denser.

Heavier.

The ground around him began to sink beneath his feet.

Vergil frowned.

Angelo advanced again.

Now faster.

Much faster.

The first blow ca before Vergil could finish analyzing it.

Impact.

Yamato blocked instinctively.

Even so, Vergil was launched backward like a projectile.

He passed through two floating towers before stabilizing in the air.

Angelo was already behind him.

Clenched fist.

The punch struck his back.

The impact launched him down again.

The coliseum floor exploded into a new, gigantic crater.

Vergil stood motionless for a second.

His body ached.

His arm trembled.

But his mind kept working.

He slowly opened his eyes.

Angelo descended from the sky.

Sword raised.

Vergil lifted Yamato.

But this ti he didn’t attack.

He breathed.

Absolute concentration.

Angelo’s blade descended.

At the last instant—

Vergil disappeared.

But not just teleportation.

He beca the cut itself.

A blue line crossed space.

Angelo struck the void.

Vergil reappeared above him.

Yamato descended.

A single strike.

Silent.

Precise.

Angelo’s armor opened from shoulder to chest.

A perfect line.

His body froze for an instant.

Then—

It exploded in energy.

Angelo was thrown to the ground.

Vergil landed slowly.

His chest burned.

His body was covered in wounds.

But there was sothing new in his movents.

More fluidity.

More precision.

He was evolving.

Up there—

Another colossal impact shook the sky.

Dante was hurled across three floating platforms while laughing.

"Yes! MORE!"

Sapphire appeared right behind him, twirling her blue sword.

"Can you handle this?"

She descended with an absurd sequence of vertical strikes.

Dante blocked, laughing, each impact pushing him deeper into the fractured sky floor.

"HAHA! I love it when you get like this!"

Sapphire’s sword pierced his chest again.

Dante spat blood.

And laughed even louder.

He gripped the blade with both hands.

And pulled.

Sapphire ca with it.

He landed a brutal headbutt on her face.

The impact created a blue flash.

Sapphire started laughing too.

"AGAIN!"

She kicked him in the chest with such force that Dante crashed through an entire wall of the coliseum.

Down below—

The explosion reverberated across Vergil’s battlefield.

Angelo rose from the crater.

His armor was partially destroyed.

But sothing was changing again.

The energy around him was more concentrated.

Denser.

As if each blow he received was refining his own existence.

Vergil realized this.

The fight was reaching another level.

Angelo advanced once more.

But now there was sothing different about his movent.

Less brute force.

More precision.

He was learning too.

The sword ca in rapid succession.

Vergil blocked the first.

Dodged the second.

The third tore through his side.

But he remained in position.

Yamato flashed.

One cut.

Two.

Five.

Ten.

Angelo blocked almost all of them.

Almost.

One blow pierced his defense and struck directly at the energy core in his chest.

The impact made his body vibrate. Vergil imdiately advanced.

Another cut.

Angelo blocked.

But this ti the collision didn’t explode.

It imploded.

An absurd pressure point ford between the two swords.

Air was pulled in.

The ground began to crack.

The accumulated energy was growing rapidly.

The two remained motionless.

Swords locked.

Eyes fixed.

Neither retreated.

Up above, Dante and Sapphire collided again in the air, their laughter echoing like thunder.

Down below, Vergil and Angelo were locked in a silent collision.

Four warriors.

Four simultaneous evolutions.

And the coliseum—

It was beginning to crumble under the weight of it all.

The energy between Yamato and Angelo’s sword continued to grow.

Vergil could feel it. If that thing exploded—

Perhaps not even Alice’s barrier would be able to contain it.

Angelo realized this too.

But neither of them moved.

Because at that mont—

Both were waiting.

Waiting to see who would evolve first.

The pressure between Yamato and Angelo’s sword continued to compress the air between them.

The point of collision trembled like a star about to be born.

Vergil felt every muscle in his arm protest. Angelo pushed with absurd force, the black blade vibrating against Yamato.

The ground beneath them had already given way several ters.

Stones floated.

The air was heavy.

Vergil analyzed.

Always analyzing.

He noticed sothing.

Angelo was completely focused on the sword.

At that mont... the entire fight was reduced to that head-on collision.

Vergil then moved his right foot back.

He released Yamato with his left hand.

Angelo reacted imdiately, trying to press harder to crush his defense.

But Vergil wasn’t backing down.

His left hand slowly descended to the other weapon strapped to his back.

The weapon he had been using almost like an accessory.

Nidhogg.

The draconic demonic scythe.

Until now he had used it in the simplest way possible—wide blows, brutal cuts, like soone using a large blade without specific technique.

But Vergil was many things.

Among them... a scholar of combat.

And while fighting Angelo, he had been observing sothing else.

The way the scythe’s reach manipulated space.

The curvature of the blade.

The weight.

The way it drew energy when it spun.

He had understood sothing.

Scythes are not impact weapons.

They are reaping weapons.

Vergil pulled Nidhogg.

Angelo tried to react.

Too late.

Vergil released Yamato.

Angelo lunged to pierce through him.

But in that instant, Vergil’s body spun.

A fluid movent.

Circular.

The scythe passed beneath Angelo’s sword like water trickling over a stone.

The blade’s hook found the base of his arm.

And pulled.

It wasn’t a cut.

It was a harvest.

The blade tore through the armor at the joint.

A deep line opened the black tal.

Energy exploded.

Angelo took a step back.

The first ti he had truly been pushed back.

Vergil didn’t stop.

The scythe’s movent continued spinning.

He shifted his footing.

The spin turned into a second attack.

The blade rose in a crescent arc that attempted to seize Angelo’s neck. Angelo blocked with his forearm.

The armor cracked.

But the force of the movent caused his body to spin.

Vergil noticed sothing else.

The scythe wasn’t fighting in a straight line.

It was fighting in cycles.

Cuts that never stopped.

Continuous flows.

He advanced.

The scythe’s shaft spun in his hands.

The blade grazed the ground—

Rised—

Spun overhead—

Descended again.

Angelo blocked the first.

The second.

But the third wasn’t a cut.

Vergil used the blade’s hook to catch Angelo’s sword.

And pulled.

Violent.

Angelo’s gigantic body tilted.

In that instant—

Yamato reappeared in Vergil’s right hand.

A blue slash cut through space.

Diagonal.

Silent.

The armor on Angelo’s chest opened once more.

Explosion of dark energy. Angelo slid several ters backward.

Vergil remained still.

Nidhogg slowly spun in his left hand.

Yamato rested calmly in his right.

Sothing had changed.

His style was changing.

Until now, Vergil had fought with absolute sword precision.

Minimal movents.

Lethal.

Now there was sothing else.

Flow.

Rotation.

Reach.

The scythe created zones of death around him.

Vergil breathed slowly.

His mind was forming patterns.

Positions.

Angles.

Sequences.

A martial art was beginning to take shape there.

Improvised in the midst of battle.

The art of reaping.

Angelo raised his head.

His energy exploded again.

Heavier.

More unstable. The armor began to reforged itself again.

But sothing was different.

Nidhogg’s cuts weren’t like Yamato’s.

They left marks.

Wounds that took longer to heal.

Vergil had noticed.

The scythe didn’t just cut.

It harvested energy.

Each blow ripped sothing away.

Angelo advanced again.

This ti faster.

Vergil also advanced.

Now the two didn’t clash directly.

The dance began.

Angelo brought down his sword.

Vergil spun his body.

Nidhogg passed in a low arc and deflected the blow.

Yamato attacked at the sa ti.

Angelo blocked.

But at that instant the scythe was already returning.

The blade curved behind Angelo’s leg.

And pulled.

The thigh armor tore. Angelo reacted with a brutal punch.

Vergil bent over.

The fist grazed past.

The scythe’s shaft spun again.

The blade climbed up Angelo’s back.

Tearing.

Not deep.

But steady.

Reaping.

Blow after blow.

Vergil was creating rhythm.

A sequence where Yamato was the deadly cut.

And Nidhogg was the instrunt that prepared the harvest.

Angelo realized it.

His aura exploded violently.

He attacked with a brutal sequence of blows.

The sword turned into a black storm.

Vergil was forced to retreat.

But even retreating, the scythe continued to spin.

Deflecting.

Pulling.

Dodging.

A new movent erged.

Vergil planted his foot on the ground.

He spun his entire body.

Nidhogg traced a perfect circle.

A reaping zone.

When Angelo entered it—

Three cuts appeared simultaneously.

Chest.

Arm.

Rib.

Angelo stopped.

The armor opened in three deep lines.

Energy leaked out like black smoke.

Vergil lowered his scythe slightly.

For the first ti, a small smile appeared on his face.

He had understood.

The scythe was not just a weapon.

It was a harvest field.

And Angelo...

Was a gigantic plantation of energy waiting to be reaped.

Up there—

Dante was hurled against the sky again.

Sapphire spun her blue sword, laughing like a warrior in ecstasy.

But down there—

Another fight was being born.

Colder. More technical.

More dangerous.

Vergil spun Nidhogg once more.

The blade traced a slow circle in the air.

He spoke calmly:

"Interesting..."

His eyes focused on Angelo.

"...it seems I’ve finally found the right way to use you."

The scythe glowed with dark energy.
