The mansion slowly sank into the heavy silence of the early morning hours when the space before the main entrance finally rippled.

A blue distortion cut through the air like an elegant cut in reality.

Then Vergil appeared.

His blue coat was still impeccable despite the absurd amount of taphysical events of the last few hours, his silver hair slightly disheveled by the dinsional wind, and he had the tired expression of soone who had just survived conceptually dangerous conversations with absolute entities.

Lucy was asleep, partially supported on his back.

Her small arms loosely wrapped around Vergil’s shoulders while her head rested near his neck. The crumpled drawing of "Dear tatron" still clung between her little fingers, along with a small, crooked crown hastily drawn on a separate sheet of paper.

Vergil took two steps into the mansion.

And imdiately realized.

Strategic error.

The entire room was too quiet.

Katharina, Ada, and Roxanne were waiting.

The three remained seated on the mansion’s main sofa like a demonic council specifically prepared to carry out collective emotional judgnt.

The air seed dangerously still.

Katharina sat cross-legged, resting her face on one hand as she observed Vergil with an absurdly cold gaze. Ada stood beside her, holding a teacup that had probably been completely forgotten for twenty minutes. Roxanne leaned against the arm of the sofa, arms crossed and wings partially spread behind her in clear, accumulated irritation.

Vergil observed the scene in silence.

Then he let out a small sigh through his nose.

"...Hello."

No imdiate response.

The three continued to stare at him.

The emotional intensity of the situation worsened significantly when their eyes slowly descended to Lucy behind him.

Lucy noticed imdiately.

Her small red eyes widened discreetly.

Then she did what any small, intelligent creature would do when faced with three emotionally charged won looking in that direction.

She hid behind Vergil’s head.

Literally.

Vergil imdiately felt the small arms tighten around his shoulders as Lucy hid half her face behind his silver hair.

Only her eyes were carefully visible now.

Vergil let out a small, tired laugh through his nose.

"They’re scaring her."

That didn’t help at all.

Katharina slowly stood up from the sofa.

The sound of her heels echoed dangerously through the silent room as she calmly walked towards him.

Vergil remained motionless.

Ada watched everything in absolute silence.

Roxanne was clearly trying to decide whether she wanted to hug him or strangle him first.

Katharina finally stopped right in front of him.

Very close.

Very, very close.

Vergil could literally feel the irritation radiating from her like heat.

She looked directly into his eyes.

Without blinking.

Without flinching.

Then she spoke calmly:

"You have fifteen minutes to find a babysitter."

Vergil blinked once.

Katharina continued in exactly the sa dangerously controlled tone:

"And we’re going to Tokyo."

A short pause.

"To have fun at the arcades."

Vergil fell silent.

Lucy slowly tilted her head behind him.

"...Arcade?"

Katharina completely ignored the interruption.

"If you don’t co..." She narrowed her red eyes slightly. "...forget you have wives."

Absolute silence.

Vergil stared at her for two full seconds.

Then he looked slowly at Ada.

Ada calmly took a sip of her now cold tea.

"She’s not exaggerating."

Vergil turned to Roxanne.

Roxanne crossed her arms tighter.

"I’ve already emotionally prepared a complete list of places you’re going to pay for."

Vergil turned his eyes to Katharina.

"...This is a collective threat."

"This is a corrective marriage date."

Lucy slowly raised one of her little hands behind his head.

"...What’s corrective?"

"Your father being emotionally punished," Ada replied imdiately.

"Ah."

Vergil closed his eyes for a full second.

When he opened them again, his expression already seed resigned.

"...You planned this together?"

Katharina replied instantly:

"For three hours."

"With maps," added Roxanne.

"Ada made a schedule."

Vergil slowly turned his face to Ada.

Ada showed not the slightest trace of sha.

"Efficiency improves recreational experiences."

"You made an itinerary for emotional revenge."

"Technically, it’s a leisure schedule."

Lucy seed fascinated now.

"You guys are scary."

The three of them imdiately looked at her.

The silence lasted exactly half a second.

Then Roxanne lted emotionally first.

"...She called us scary in a cute way."

Katharina pinched the bridge of her nose imdiately.

"Don’t weaken now."

Vergil let out a small, low chuckle through his nose as he adjusted Lucy’s back more carefully.

"You were really worried."

Katharina imdiately replied:

"You disappeared into thin air."

"With a conceptually problematic child," added Ada.

"For HOURS," completed Roxanne.

Vergil thought for a mont.

"...Fair enough."

Katharina imdiately pointed at him.

"Don’t use rationality now. It makes your situation worse."

Lucy slowly raised her head behind him again.

"...Does Tokyo have cake?"

Roxanne imdiately turned to her.

"There’s LOTS of cake."

Lucy’s eyes instantly lit up.

Vergil imdiately realized the emotional trap forming.

Too late.

Lucy lightly grabbed his shoulder.

"...Let’s go to Tokyo." Katharina imdiately narrowed her eyes.

"No."

Lucy blinked slowly behind Vergil’s head.

"...No?"

"We’re going to Tokyo to do adult things." Katharina crossed her arms while maintaining a serious expression. "It’s an extrely important corrective marriage trip."

Ada nodded calmly.

"There’s approximately an eighty percent chance this will end in a violent arcade competition."

"Ninety," Roxanne corrected.

Vergil sighed through his nose.

"That honestly only makes the situation worse."

Lucy tilted her head to the side, clearly trying to process all of this with the extrely limited—yet dangerously efficient—logic of a small child.

"So I can’t go?"

Katharina imdiately pointed at her.

"You’re going to Alice."

Silence lasted half a second.

Lucy’s eyes widened.

"Alice?!" Her voice imdiately gained energy. "The pretty girl with the fluffy hair?!"

"That’s her," Roxanne replied.

Vergil observed this in silence for a few seconds.

Complete betrayal.

The three of them had clearly planned absolutely everything.

Lucy now seed torn between sadness and extre excitent.

"...But Tokyo has cake..."

Katharina stood firm.

"And Alice will probably let you draw on the walls."

Lucy froze.

Vergil slowly turned his face to Katharina.

"...You shouldn’t encourage this."

"I’m negotiating emotionally."

Ada took another sip of her cold tea.

"She’s surprisingly efficient at manipulating children."

"Thank you."

Vergil discreetly pinched the bridge of his nose as Lucy seed to face the biggest emotional decision of her short existence.

Tokyo.

Or Alice.

Cake.

Or supervised artistic chaos.

Roxanne then suddenly raised a finger.

"Ah."

She disappeared in a quick blur before anyone could ask anything.

Silence filled the room for two seconds.

Then Roxanne returned.

Carrying a gigantic cake.

Lucy’s eyes widened so much she almost fell off Vergil’s back.

The cake was absurdly beautiful.

Huge layers of chocolate decorated with glistening strawberries, detailed frosting, and small sugar sculptures representing buildings, neon signs, and even small streets drawn with colored icing.

And written on top, in huge letters:

"TOKYO"

Lucy was completely paralyzed.

"...OOOOOH."

Roxanne approached solemnly like soone offering a sacred artifact.

"Here." She carefully placed the cake in the girl’s small arms. "Tokyo cake."

Vergil remained in absolute silence.

Katharina clearly hadn’t expected that either. Ada slowly lowered her teacup.

"...When exactly did you order this?"

Roxanne looked offended.

"Do you think I improvise emotional revenge?"

Vergil stared at the colossal cake.

"...You ordered a Tokyo-thed cake during our marital crisis."

"Yes."

"With enough advance notice for custom decoration."

"Yes."

Lucy was already completely sold emotionally.

Her eyes shone like stars as she carefully held the enormous cake with an almost religious reverence.

"...I love Tokyo."

Katharina imdiately seized the opportunity.

"Excellent." She pointed dramatically upwards. "Then you can enjoy the spirit of Tokyo from here."

Vergil let out a small, low chuckle through his nose.

"That was impressively manipulative."

"Thank you."

Lucy looked at the cake.

Then at Vergil. Then back to the cake.

Absolute internal conflict.

Then she asked the most important question of the night:

"...Will Alice eat cake with ?"

Roxanne smiled imdiately.

"Go."

Lucy gasped softly.

Vergil instantly realized the battle was lost.

Completely lost.

The girl then raised her head behind him again and whispered dramatically close to his ear:

"...Dad."

"Hmm?"

"I think I was bought."

Ada imdiately covered her mouth, trying to hide a laugh.

Katharina turned her face away, clearly fighting her own composure.

And Vergil...

Vergil finally laughed.

A genuine, low, and tired laugh as he ran a hand through his silver hair.

"Yes," he replied calmly. "Definitely."

...

Alice’s apartnt was imrsed in a rare tranquility.

Soft music played in the background while soft lights illuminated the elegant and absurdly organized room. Shopping bags were scattered across the enormous bed, open amidst delicate fabrics, luxurious boxes, and carefully folded garnts.

Alice observed her own reflection in the full-length mirror with a deeply analytical expression.

Extrely sophisticated black lace lingerie contrasted elegantly against her pale skin as she slowly adjusted one of the straps over her shoulder.

Then she narrowed her eyes.

"...Hm."

She turned slightly to the side.

"Perhaps red would be more psychologically effective."

At that instant—

The space in front of her exploded in blue light.

Alice’s eyes widened imdiately.

"What—"

A dinsional portal violently opened in the middle of the room.

And sothing was hurled out of it.

"AAAAH—"

Lucy erged spinning through the air.

Holding a gigantic cake.

Then she fell seated on the floor with a small PLOP muffled by the room’s plush carpet.

The cake miraculously survived.

The portal closed instantly afterward.

Silence.

Alice remained completely still before the mirror for two full seconds.

Lucy blinked slowly on the floor.

Then she looked at the cake.

"...It’s still whole."

She seed genuinely impressed.

Alice finally blinked a few tis before looking down.

A small piece of paper had fallen with the girl.

She approached slowly, still trying to process the absurd situation that had just happened, and picked up the note.

Vergil’s elegant handwriting was written there in absolute calm:

"Take care of her for . I’ll reward you later.

— Vergil"

The silence that filled the room was almost spiritual.

Alice slowly lowered the paper.

Then she looked at Lucy.

Lucy was already completely comfortable sitting on the floor, eating the "Tokyo" cake with her hands while observing the room around her with sheer childlike curiosity.

"...Pretty here."

Alice closed her eyes for a full second.

She took a deep breath.

Then she let out a long, tired sigh.

"And I thought I had peace."

Lucy imdiately held up a huge piece of cake toward her.

"Want so?"

Alice stared at the child.

Then she stared at the cake.

Then she stared at the lingerie she was still wearing.

Then she finally let out a small, incredulous laugh through her nose.

"...This is definitely Vergil’s fault."
