His secretary quickly brought in two cups of coffee.
Jian Tong sat across from Su Yu’s desk. With a sweet smile, she asked, “President Su, it’s Mr. Tang’s birthday today, right?”

“So there’s going to be a huge birthday party tonight, right?” Jian Tong and Tang Chuan were old acquaintances so Jian Tong knew very well that Tang Chuan was going to have a huge celebration for himself.
“Yeah.” Su Yu nodded as he flipped open his notebook. He barely paid attention to what Jian Tong was saying.
“Do you have a date to go with?”
“No.”
“if you want, I can go with you…” Jian Tong suggested herself.
Su Yu paused his typing. His first reaction was to think of how the twins would react if he brought Jian Tong as his partner to the party. They would for sure be unhappy and he definitely wouldn’t want to piss them off…
That was why he directly rejected her proposal. “Thanks, but no thanks. I’ve been friends with Chuan for many years now. I don’t need to act formal and bring a date for his parties. I’ll just go alone…”
“But I want to go too…” Jian Tong started to pout and coyishly beg.
Su Yu was in a tough position. She was trying to guilt him into taking her. It worked though as Su Yu felt bad for not letting her go to the party when she so desperately wanted to go.
Su Yu tried to e up with a good excuse to not take Jian Tong to the party. Suddenly, his phone rang.
“Sorry but I need to take this call…” Then, he picked up his cell phone and answered.
“Pudding…”
“Yes, yes, yes… I know. Be good… I’ll see you tonight.”
When Su Yu spoke to Little Bean and Pudding, he sounded very gentle.
Other than Huo Mian, no one else got that treatment from him.
Even though Jian Tong knew very clearly that he was speaking to children, she still felt extreme jealousy towards them.
“Are Pudding and Little Bean going too?” she carefully asked.
“Yeah, their whole family will be there.” When Su Yu said this, he did feel a little upset.
