“Mommy’s working overtime, she was pulled into an emergency surgery,” Qin Chu replied patiently.
“Daddy, I’m not trying to lecture you, but I feel that recently… you’ve been a bit indifferent towards Mommy.”
“Um…” Qin Chu was turned speechless by Little Bean’s sudden remarks.
She continued, “Are you cheating on Mommy with another woman?”
After this question, Pudding couldn’t help but give her younger sister a thumbs up; after all, Little Bean often said ridiculous things, and everyone in the family was used to it.
“Little Bean, is that what you think of me?”
“Of course not!”
“Exactly.” Qin Chu raised an eyebrow; he knew that his daughters had confidence in him.
However, Little Bean’s next sentence again made him speechless.
“We don’t think of you like that, but the women out there are crazy! There are so many dating apps out there, and Daddy, you’re the richest man in the city… Plus, you’re handsome and e from a good family, do you know how many women out there have their eyes on you? Women can be really scary, I’m telling you!”

“Daddy, are you listening to me?”
“Mhm, I am.” Qin Chu nodded in all seriousness.
Little Bean continued, “But Daddy, you have to remember that those women are all out for your money or your looks, none of them really love you. The only people who love you in this world are Mommy, us, grandpa and grandma and… Oh, right, and Auntie Qin. You understand?”
“I do.” Mr. Qin nodded as he listened to his daughter’s lecture.
“You and Mommy have known each other for a long time, so we understand that life may bee mundane. But… you need to watch yourself before you wreck yourself. Plus, Mommy’s not some stay-at-home mom who doesn’t have a life outside of you,” Little Bean said as she gestured at Qin Chu with her chubby hands. Qin Chu held back his laughter as he leaned back on the couch and listened to every word she said.
For the first time, Pudding was impressed by Little Bean’s remarks; she even handed her younger sister a strawberry as a reward.
“Thanks,” Little Bean took the strawberry, took a bite, and continued.
“What’s Mommy then?” Qin Chu asked with a smile.
“Mommy’s a genius! As a teenager, she was already widely-known in our city, and although she didn’t graduate from a super prestigious university, she still self-studied and became a renowned doctor. Plus, she’s so young yet she already became the vice director of a major hospital! Mommy may not be the most beautiful woman in the world, but she’s filled with wisdom, is calm and collected, and most importantly, she’s loyal. Although she can be scary sometimes, we know she just wants us to learn. Our Mommy is one of a kind!”
“Am I not one of a kind?” Qin Chu laughed.
“You’re limited edition as well! That’s why you guys make such a good couple… So the key is, don’t give anyone else a chance to ruin your relationship. If you ignore Mommy for too long and someone else takes advantage of that, you’ll cry for the rest of your life. Not only does Handsome Su have feelings for Mommy, even that psycho, Huo Siqian, wants Mommy for himself. I also heard that a lot of male doctors at South Side have a crush on her. Daddy, Mommy’s a jewel that you need to treasure!”
“Mhm, you have a point.” Qin Chu purposely nodded in agreement.
“So… you guys seriously need to give us a little brother. Then, we’ll have someone to bully…” Little Bean was getting a bit ahead of himself and accidentally blurted out.
“What did you say?” Qin Chu’s eyes narrowed.
