anwhile on Earth
Ethan stepped out of his room to get so fresh air. He called Rose.
"Hello, Rose. Where are you?"
"I’m in the Alliance Hall," Rose replied. "Do you need sothing?"
Ethan felt a pang of sadness. Couldn’t he call her just to talk? Then he realized the root of it. Rose never called him first. And whenever he did, it was always for a reason. She couldn’t help him, so at the very least, she didn’t want to beco a burden.
Their relationship was very vague. He was sure that even if he started dating soone else, Rose wouldn’t say a word. There just wasn’t that connection between them.
The gap in power and position made the bond so thin, Ethan felt like they weren’t even truly together.
"I’ll keep getting stronger, and Rose will keep pulling away. She won’t share her problems with . I’m not giving her the ti or affection she deserves, and no one else would dare to approach her. I don’t know how she feels... but if our positions were reversed, I know I wouldn’t feel great either."
While all this was running through his mind, the phone was still connected. Rose’s voice ca through.
"Hello? Ethan? Are you there?"
Ethan smiled softly. "Rose, I’ll be there in ten minutes. Please be ready, if you’re doing anything right now."
"Okay."
Rose murmured to herself, wondering why he was coming. Did sothing happen?
Ten minutes later, she had changed into a casual outfit—just a simple T-shirt and jeans.
Ethan soon arrived nearby by using teleportation.
He was also dressed simply, wearing trousers and a plain T-shirt.
Rose smiled when she saw him.
Ethan walked up to her and looked into her eyes.
Her heart started beating wildly again.
"Rose, let’s go out. But today, I won’t decide the place."
He then took out a piece of black cloth, covered his eyes, and raised his hand toward her.
"Take my hand and lead anywhere you want. I won’t open my eyes until we get there."
Rose stared at him, dumbfounded.
"What’s going on, Ethan?"
Ethan pulled the cloth off and gave her a wry smile.
"I’m not good at romance, am I? I swear I thought that blindfolding myself and letting you lead would feel romantic. I want to be romantic, Rose. Can you teach ? Please?"
Rose’s heart nearly stopped. Ethan wanted to learn how to be romantic?
She had always believed she was a burden to him. All she ever did was rely on him. That’s why she never disturbed him—never called or ssaged, even when she needed sothing. And now this man was saying he wanted to learn romance from her?
Every girl dreams of being the one to teach romance to her man... to be his first in love.
When she didn’t respond, Ethan’s expression began to fall. He looked down, clearly thinking she was disappointed in him.
He didn’t know how to make it up to her. But he was trying.
Rose coughed lightly. She wasn’t a fool. She could clearly understood what he was doing. He was trying to fix things but the dum dum had no clue where to begin. That thought alone made her heart feel sweet. A slight smile left her leaps without even her knowledge.
"I can teach you," she said teasingly. "But what will I get in return?"
Ethan’s eyes lit up. His mood changed instantly.
"I’ll give you anything you want."
"Anything?" she repeated.
"Yep. Just say the word, and it’s done."
"Think carefully. It might not be easy."
Ethan grew a bit nervous. She knew how strong he was, yet still warned him? What kind of request did she have in mind?
But he answered seriously. "I’m ready for anything."
Rose smiled. "Okay then. Every day at 5 p.m., you’ll take to an amusent park or soplace fun. You’ll eat ice cream with , go on boat rides, visit haunted houses... all the things I want to do with you."
Ethan had been bracing for sothing overwhelming.
"Huh? That’s it?" he asked.
"That’s all," she said, smiling gently.
Without hesitation, Ethan pulled her into a tight hug.
"Okay. I promise. Every day at 5 p.m. will be our ti."
He glanced at his watch.
"Oh, it’s almost 5. Why don’t we start our romance lesson today?"
For the first ti, Rose hugged him back.
Every ti before, Ethan had hugged her, and she had just stood still, feeling his warmth. But today... today she hugged him back.
"Do you know any good amusent parks?" Ethan asked.
Rose nodded. "Yeah. A new one opened a few days ago. The girls invited to go with them..." She paused, looking shy. "But I wanted to go with you but never had the chance to ask."
Ethan felt a skight regret again but smiled instantly. He would make every thing right from today in this relationship.
Ethan felt the tension in his chest dissolve. It was like a burden had lifted.
A clear chi echoed in his mind.
[Ding! You have accepted the existence of Rose. Your heart knot is cleared. You can now contract with your clones who are in other dinsions.]
"Wait, what? I had a heart knot? Why didn’t I know?"
Then he paused.
He did know. Deep down, he had always felt a strange hollowness inside. So that’s what it was.
He hadn’t been doing right to her. But until now, he didn’t even have ti to truly feel the regret in his heart.
And now... his clones? What was that about being in another dinsion? How did they get there?
He focused his mind on one of his clones. The first one that disappeared.
Imdiately, information flooded in his mind, about Aetherion, the ultimate talent Aetherion gave him for becoming a guardian of the realm- the extraction talent, then the Shadow Monarch talent.
Then he focused on the other one.
Details of the World of the Ancients, cultivators, the Sword of Infinity—everything rushed into his mind.
"Damn. Damn. What did those two clones get for this ti?"
His luck was outrageous.
Now, thanks to his teleportation skill, he could even travel to those dinsions as he got clear connection with those two worlds and rge with those clone to have thise talents for him.
"Hahahaha,",He laughed out loudly.
"Rose, you really are my lucky star."
Then he leaned forward and kissed her soft pinkish lips which suddenly trembled because of the sudden attack. He lost himself in those warm and wet cherry leaves.
