Chapter 159

Julie’s Point of View

I let go of Olivia’s hand the mont Robert stepped out, taking a step back as I tried to gather my scattered breath. She looked at with bewildernt. "What was that?"

"I need you," I said with mock distress, searching for a lie to save from her scrutinizing gaze.

"For what?" she asked coldly.

"I need sanitary pads," I stamred, the panic coating my voice. It was the only lie that jumped into my head, despite there being ten boxes in my closet! She raised an eyebrow. "Did you finish them all?"

I nodded quickly. "Yes."

"Fine," she muttered in annoyance.

As she left my room, I collapsed onto my bed, the heat of his mory still searing my skin. I rembered how Robert approached , how my heart hamred violently, and how I truly truly wanted him to kiss ! But no... no... that’s not normal. I’m just imagining things.

I recalled Max’s question about whether my heart flutters; the truth is, it thunders whenever I see Robert, and when he draws near, I feel a fire igniting inside . But this can’t be attraction... it’s just... well, I don’t know what it is! And even though he sees kissing as a punishnt, to , it felt like a secret prize.

But I must not surrender. He sees as just a "little virgin" who doesn’t deserve him, and getting close to him will bring nothing but agony.

The door burst open again suddenly. It was Robert! I stood up with a jolt.

"What?" I asked, my voice wavering.

"Follow . I have work for you," he said sternly.

"What work? You told to stay here!" I protested.

"And now I’m telling you to co," he replied, turning to leave.

I followed him, my heart racing once more. Was he going to ask to review files? We bypassed the office, and I began to wonder where he was taking . To his room? But instead, he entered that suspicious room the one with the bed and the ceiling-mounted mirror. The "Special Room."

"What are we doing here?" I asked suspiciously.

"Co," he said curtly.

He headed toward the wall. "Don’t tell there’s another secret door!" I said mockingly, trying to hide my fear.

"Yes, exactly," he replied calmly.

My God! What kind of cursed place is this with never-ending secret doors? A section of the wall slid open, and he stepped inside. "Co on, get in."

When I entered, my jaw dropped in shock. It was a strange, oppressive room.

Chains dangled from the ceiling, there was a chair resembling a torture device, and odd objects were laid out on a table. "What is this?" I asked in terror.

Before he could answer, dark thoughts invaded my mind.

Was he going to torture with electric shocks? Would he tie up and leave to starve? His voice cut through the hiss of my thoughts. "Don’t you know what this is?"

"No," I whispered.

I approached the table with a fearful curiosity. There were strange plastic objects... they looked like dicks! I picked one up to look at it closely. "You chose the biggest one," he said in a mocking, bold tone. "I didn’t know you were this daring."

I was talking to myself, but the words escaped my lips without realizing he could hear them clearly: "Your dick is bigger."

I froze the mont the words left my mouth. I saw a look of shock and bewildernt on his face that I had never seen before.

I realized the catastrophe I had just uttered out loud! I dropped that cursed thing on the table as if I had touched a burning coal and ran toward the exit. But his powerful voice stopped : "Co here, Julie."

I retraced my steps with stumbling feet, my face flushed with intense sha. "Yes... what do you want?" I asked, my voice choked. "Can you tell why you brought here?"

"Do you see this room?" he asked in a cryptic tone, gesturing around the space.

"Yes... what about it?" I asked, a cold shiver racing down my spine.

"Strange things happen here," he replied, fixing with a gaze that pierced through to my core. "Things you have never seen in your life."

I swallowed hard, feeling my heart beating in my throat from the tension.

"What is required of ?" I whispered.

"Nothing," he answered coldly, turning to leave. "I just showed you the room. Later, when the ti is right... you’ll find out."

"What?!" I gasped, following him. "Are you going to leave until my curiosity kills ?"

He completely ignored my question, walking out with long strides. "Co on... out."

I followed him out, and the secret door shut, returning the wall to how it was. We left the Special Room. As I moved toward my room to escape the pressure, his deep voice stopped : "Did I give you permission to leave?"

I stopped and sighed in frustration. "Do you need ?"

"Yes... follow ," he said firmly.

I followed him until we reached his private room. We entered and he locked the door behind us. He pointed to a wooden table next to the sofa. "Do you see that tray with the crystal statues?"

I looked at it. It was a massive tray carrying a collection of shimring crystal statues that looked unimaginably expensive. "Yes, I see it."

"Carry it and move it," he said, hands in his pockets. "Put it on the desk."

My eyes widened as I looked at the small size of my hands compared to that tray. "But there are so many statues and the tray is huge! I’m afraid I’ll drop it and they’ll shatter."

"You’ll have to be careful then," he replied with a cold indifference.

"Why don’t you carry it yourself? It’s heavy!" I grumbled.

He raised an eyebrow, mocking . "You are my personal assistant. If I’m going to do your job, what’s the point of you being here?"

"Fine!" I muttered in suppressed rage. I approached the table, checked the weight of the tray, then tried to lift one statue to test its weight. "How about I move them one by one?"

"Put it on the tray imdiately!" he snapped suddenly. "Don’t touch it with your bare hands; it’ll scratch."

I looked at him strangely. "Scratch? It’s crystal!"

"Co on, Julie... I don’t have ti," he said impatiently.

I leaned down, bracing my trembling fingers under the edges of the tal tray, and lifted it with all my might.

It was much heavier than I imagined! I began to walk with very slow steps, my eyes glued to the statues that started to wobble with every movent.

"Co on, Julie... hurry up a bit!" Robert said in a rushed tone.

"I’m going as fast as I can!" I said with intense focus, my breathing audible.

But he kept pressing with his voice.

"Co on, Julie... hurry! We aren’t going to stay here all night waiting for you to reach the desk."

I tried to ignore his voice, but he barked my na again in a high-pressure tone: "Julie!"

With that sudden word, my hands trembled uncontrollably.

I lost my balance. The tray slipped from my fingers, and in a single instant, it crashed with all its weight onto the floor. The crystal scread as it shattered into a thousand shimring shards, scattering across the room.
