Chapter 163
Robert’s Point of View
We entered the club; the familiar atmosphere and the music thumping against the walls welcod us with its usual clamor. One of the staff approached us with a slight bow, his face full of greeting. "Sir, we haven’t seen you in a long ti... your place in the VIP section upstairs is ready. Please, follow ."
We ascended the stairs with confident strides toward the luxury area overlooking the lounge and took our seats in the plush leather chairs. Carlos sighed as he leaned back, his tone still carrying traces of shock. "I still can’t believe what we did today."
I looked at him coldly, adjusting my posture. "Be patient, Carlos, and you’ll see things that are truly unbelievable."
The waiter arrived quickly, bowing respectfully as he waited for our orders. We ordered drinks, and then the waiter asked in a low voice, "Shall I send the girls over, sir?"
"No," I answered with a firm brevity before he could even finish his question.
The waiter left imdiately, and Carlos turned to with a mocking smile. "He doesn’t realize you own a club full of girls."
"He thinks I would touch a girl here... he’s insane," I replied with a cold smile, watching the movent below.
Carlos nodded in agreent. "The girls at your club are sothing special, unique and most importantly, they undergo dical exams."
I rembered sothing vital then and turned to him with complete seriousness. "And you, Carlos... you haven’t had your monthly exam yet. I won’t allow you to touch any girl until you do."
Carlos groaned, slapping his hand against the armrest. "Fine, Robert, I’ll do it... Do you think I have AIDS or sothing, for you to be this worried?"
"Do you think I collect all this money for these girls if I didn’t ensure health protection and privacy?" I countered, narrowing my eyes.
"I know, Robert," he said with annoyance, looking away. "But sotis you exaggerate."
I emphasized my words, pointing my finger for effect. "Both the custor and the girl have mandatory exams, Carlos. I won’t allow my club to turn into a haven for AIDS or any STDs."
Carlos raised his hands in surrender, losing his patience. "Fine, fine... I’ll go with you right now to get my tests done."
I furrowed my brows in surprise, checking my watch. "Now? Are you crazy? It’s almost midnight."
"What’s the problem?" he insisted. "The doctor always works late... I’ll go with you just so I don’t have to hear another dical lecture from you."
"As you wish," I said, shaking my head at his stubbornness.
At that mont, the drinks arrived. The waiter poured the whiskey into crystal glasses. Carlos raised his glass with pride, and I raised mine to et it. "To our victory over the Don," I said triumphantly.
The glasses clinked with a sharp ring as we said in unison: "Cheers!"

Julie’s Point of View
Marcus entered my room carrying two bottles of wine and two glasses. He sat on the edge of the bed with an indifference that terrified . "Co on, Julie... let’s have a drink," he said in a heavy tone.
I imdiately rembered what happens to every ti I drink how I lose control over my tongue and my body. "No... no, I won’t drink," I said firmly. He shrugged with disinterest, pouring himself a brimming glass. "As you wish."
I stood before him, rubbing my hands nervously, my words coming out like warning shots: "Marcus, listen! If Robert cos now and finds you here, he’ll kill you!"
"He’s out... he won’t co back now," he mocked, draining the glass in one go. "Co, sit down. I have things to tell you."
I sat on the edge of the bed cautiously, leaving a distance between us. He began to tell about "Violet" how she acts, how she moves, and how she speaks. His eyes looked vacant as he said, "If only you could see her, Julie... she bewitches you. She makes a man kneel before her."
"Does she really do all that?" I asked in awe, watching his erratic hand movents.
"Even more than that," he said, his voice full of infatuation.
He began pouring the wine and drinking glass after glass at a frantic pace. "It seems this Violet is quite interesting," I said, trying to keep up with the conversation.
"She is," he replied bitterly. He fell silent for a mont, staring into space, then added, "I miss her so much, Julie."
"How did you fall for her?" I asked, unable to curb my curiosity. "I an, she’s much older than you!"
He looked at with a sharpness that made recoil. "I told you, she makes a man’s mind fly... I never cared about her age," he said in a raspy voice.
"But why did she leave?" I asked hesitantly. "Or did she not love you?"
He jolted and snapped, "She loves !"
"I didn’t say anything!" I said quickly, raising my hands in peace.
He finished the first bottle completely and opened the second without stopping, drinking and talking about details of their relationship I didn’t want to hear. Suddenly, I rembered Thomas’s riddle. "And Thomas, Robert’s father... how does he know her?"
He drank another glass, his head swaying. "What?" he asked, lost.
"I’m asking you about Thomas!" I said loudly.
"Thomas who?" he replied with a thick tongue and half-closed eyes.
My God! He’s so drunk he doesn’t even recognize Mr. Thomas’s na.
He raised the bottle to pour another glass but found it empty. "Marcus, that’s enough! Leave now," I said firmly, snatching the glass from his hand.
"I don’t want to leave," he said stubbornly, his head falling back.
"What do you an you don’t want to leave? Get up now!" I shouted in a muffled voice.
I grabbed him by the arm and started pulling with all my strength to get him up. He finally stood, swaying left and right, nearly falling on top of .
Then he stopped suddenly and began staring into my face with bloodshot eyes, whispering in a tone that terrified : "Violet... have you co back?"
