Seeing the expression in the Netherworld’s eyes, Li Chen’s feelings grew complicated. His heart softened, and he was about to place the Netherworld on his shoulder when he suddenly sensed a surge of energy erupting from its body.

Releasing his hands, Li Chen stepped back abruptly without thinking.

Though the Netherworld couldn’t speak, Li Chen eventually found a way to communicate as their hearts connected like a spirit rhinoceros.
Yet neither approached the other, as the Netherworld realized its own dangers, thus refraining from closing the distance, though its gaze lingered longingly on Li Chen’s shoulder.
“You say you’ve made a friend too?” Li Chen asked curiously, looking at the Netherworld.
Alice said after the Netherworld’s physical transformation it was moved here, where no one could approach it without her permission, so how did the Netherworld make a friend?

The Netherworld stretched out its pudgy hands to gesture.
