After the withered elder vanished, the sense of desolation gradually dissipated from the forest.
The trees in the forest, as if, began to rejuvenate once again.
This forest was nestled within a stretch of expansive mountains, and within these mountains, there were other Miao Villages present.
Of course, Li Chen had no intention of visiting the other Miao Villages.

With a recollection, Li Chen led Ning Wangyang straight into the depths of the forest.
Ning Wangyang didn’t know where Li Chen intended to go, but he understood that just following Li Chen was enough for him.
The two traversed forest after forest, reaching the depths of the mountains.
Finally, they stood before a sowhat dilapidated village.
Looking at the Miao Village, Li Chen’s eyes were filled with emotion.
He vaguely rembered, back then, when he accompanied An Cheng here to seek a way to dispel the Gu Poison for Zhong Tian.
Here, he saw a few old folks whose lives were nearing their end.
And now, he had returned here once more.
With Li Chen’s current strength, just his perception could fully encompass the village before him.
But at this mont, the Miao Village was deathly silent.
Devoid of any Breath of Life.
Li Chen sighed lightly.
Though he knew it was unlikely, he still wished to take a look.
With Ning Wangyang, they directly leaped into the Miao Village.

There lay a cluster of graves.

Beside the three graves laid an old man.
The elder leaned quietly against a tombstone, resting in peace.
He might have been the longest-living among the four elders of the Ancient Village, yet he too endured the most pain.
Burying his long-ti friends with his own hands, ending up all alone by the tombstone.
Wordless silence.
Li Chen silently approached the elder’s body, gently lifting him up.
With Ning Wangyang’s help, Li Chen buried the last elder of the Ancient Village beside the other three.
Gazing at the tombstones before him, Li Chen suddenly broke into a gentle smile.
"Respected elders, rest in peace. Ge Pusang, I have already avenged you. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep his corpse. But upon hearing this news, I believe you all can rest easy."
"The vengeance for your people, I have taken on."
"Also, thank you all for saving my junior brother."
With that, Li Chen bowed silently to the four new graves.
Then he turned and walked away briskly.
