221: Chapter 199: The Great Battle!
Li Chen stood up, and just then, a commotion arose outside, followed by a large group of people bursting in!
Kelly frowned and said coldly to the man at the front, “You too have disregarded the rules of my bar, Kelly’s Bar?”
“Sorry, but the Ghost King has given a kill order, and I was afraid he’d escape.
Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to claim the bounty,” said the leader, a young man of about sixteen years of age, extrely short in stature, speaking with a giggly tone, and of Chinese descent.
However, he was a top expert ranked within the top thirty of the Main God Ranking.
“You know that bringing people to Kelly’s Bar to cause trouble and fighting in Kelly’s Bar are against the rules; no one has ever broken these rules.” Kelly kept a cold expression on her face.
She didn’t take sides, but the rules had to be upheld, or she would have trouble maintaining her standing in Vancouver.
And these were the foundations on which Kelly’s Bar stood.
“Sister Kelly, I ask for your forgiveness,” another person said.
Kelly snorted coldly, “Do you also intend to start a fight in my bar?”
“Sister Kelly, I’m really sorry this ti.” The person spoke indifferently, then said to those beside him, “Close the door.”
Soone went to shut the door, and the several people ford a circle, enclosing Li Chen in the middle, while the bar’s patrons looked on with stunned expressions.
“Oh my God, isn’t that ‘Werewolf’ Horn?”
“Is that Dwarf Knifer Li Tang?”
“The exiled Swordsman, Fio.
Oh my goodness, why is he here?”
“Butcher Bruce, he’s actually here too?”
“A Descendant of Solomon?
How, how is that possible?”
Surprised gasps spread from the crowd.
Those who recognized the nas turned pale, while the clueless ones were utterly bewildered.
Who are these people?
Are they really that formidable?
Kelly’s eyelid twitched.
The Ghost King really went all out this ti, enlisting so many experts at once.
It looked like he was dead set on killing Li Chen.
The people inside the bar, facing these few, could not hide their shock.
They swallowed hard; it was too terrifying.
Any of them could dominate if set loose, for they were all top experts of the Main God Ranking!
Werewolf Horn wasn’t called a werewolf because he was one, but rather because he was as savage as one.
Moreover, he had a habit of tearing apart his victim’s face after killing them, which was why his nickna was ‘Werewolf’.
Dwarf Knifer Li Tang, the Chinese dwarf previously ntioned, was adept with a Tang Blade.
His mastery of the blade was nothing short of supernatural, and with this skill alone, he had boldly carved out a spot for himself on the Main God Ranking.
The exiled Swordsman was once a master fencing specialist for the British Royalty.
His strength was so great that he had reached the top ten of the Main God Ranking.
His swordsmanship was unmatched, and for so reason unknown, he had been cast out of Britain by the Royal Family, so rumors saying it was because he fell in love with a princess.
Butcher Bruce was notoriously savage and bloodthirsty, having once slaughtered an entire village.
His ruthless brutality landed him on Interpol’s wanted list, and yet he still managed to live quite well.
The last man, Solomon’s Descendant, was Jewish and bore a distinct symbol—the excessively heavy Great Sword he carried, which made his identity instantly recognizable.
He was nad Solomon’s Descendant because it’s said that his strength was a legacy passed down from his ancestors.
So believed he had discovered the treasure of King Solomon, but no matter what, Gustav held a place on the Main God Ranking as well.
These five individuals were all people of great renown, and now they had gathered together, how could one not be astonished?
Dwarf Knifer Li Tang led the way, looking at the calm-faced Li Chen, he playfully said, “After you, Your Highness of the Netherworld.”
At this statent, another cry of surprise arose within the bar, “The King of the Netherworld?”
They were astounded all over again.
The King of the Netherworld belonged to the Main God Ranking, and no one expected to find him here.
Li Chen said nothing and took a step forward.
At the sa ti, the Art of Disguise on his face faded away, reverting to his previous appearance, once again eliciting shouts of surprise from the dance floor.
Kelly, witnessing this scene, was fuming with anger: “Great, just fight.
I’ll see how the Ghost King will explain this to afterward.”
Having said that, she went upstairs alone, while the people on the dance floor, sensing sothing was not right, quickly retreated to a safe distance.
Inside the bar, the five ford a circle around Li Chen.
Li Chen glanced at each of them, and for him now, these five together indeed posed a challenge worthy of his attention.
The five had already drawn their weapons.
Li Tang now had a Tang Blade in hand, Horn put on his characteristic iron fist with steel barbs, Fio drew his sword—which was different from the weapon he used during his ti with the British Royalty, sharper and more lethal—while Bruce gripped the Iron Chains he wore around him, and Gustav firmly planted his Heavy Sword on the ground.
The five surrounded Li Chen, and for a mont, the atmosphere was steeped in deadly silence.
Li Chen looked at them, silent, making no move to strike first.
The onlookers dared not speak; there was no doubt that the duel between these few individuals was filled with destructive force.
At that mont, Butcher Bruce made the first move, his eyes flashing with a murderous intent, before flinging the Chains he held in his hand straight towards Li Chen’s head.
The Chains cut through the air with a whooshing sound, coming with fierce montum, and as one thing led to another, the other four also made their moves.
Li Tang gripped his Tang Blade with both hands, a glint of longing in his eyes, before he charged straight at Li Chen.
Fio’s steps generated wind, and with a tap of his foot, he thrust out his sword; halfway there, though, the blade bent and then straightened again.
Horn leapt high, like a real Werewolf, rushing towards Li Chen with his claws outstretched, ready to tear into his prey.
And Gustav, holding his Great Sword, walked towards Li Chen as well.
In an instant, the situation exploded!
Li Chen moved, not retreating but advancing, charging straight towards Butcher Bruce’s approaching Chains.
As the Chains ca at him, Li Chen reached out with one palm and then grabbed the Chains.
At that mont, Butcher Bruce yanked hard, pulling the Chains back toward him!
At the sa ti, Li Tang also attacked, his height giving him a low profile as he targeted the lower body, but Li Chen had already leapt up, using the force from Butcher Bruce’s pull.
However, mid-air Li Chen faced the Werewolf’s attack and Fio’s blade coming at him.
Li Chen’s gaze turned icy; mid-air, he kicked out with one leg, first clashing with the Werewolf’s two-handed strike and pushing the attacker back, followed by a kick landing on the tip of Fio’s sword.
Unexpectedly, Fio’s sword went limp, bending and recoiling, slicing across Li Chen’s leg, cutting a tear in his trousers.
Fortunately, at that mont, Butcher Bruce had already pulled Li Chen towards him with great force.
A murderous desire surfaced in Bruce’s eyes as he grasped the other end of the Chains, ready to loop them around Li Chen’s neck as he was pulled closer!
Li Chen’s killing intent surged; among the five, he planned to kill Butcher Bruce first!
But mid-air, a Great Sword ca cutting through, forcing Li Chen to sorsault in mid-air and land back on the ground.
But Gustav was not about to let it go and stepped forward, his Great Sword once again slashing towards Li Chen!
At the sa ti, Li Tang and the others renewed their assault on Li Chen.
Li Chen found it quite troubleso.
He could not use too much True Qi; dealing with ordinary people was okay, but against such masters without True Qi, he was just an ordinary expert, and it was very difficult to cope.
Li Chen watched as Gustav ca at him and snorted coldly.
His hands yanked hard, and in an instant, Butcher Bruce was pulled up, Chains and all, and then flung fiercely in that direction.
The Butcher had not expected Li Chen to be so strong.
The Butcher collided with Gustav while Li Chen felt another attack coming.
He glanced to the side and saw Li Tang’s attack approaching again.
Raising his right leg and tapping his foot on the ground, he leaped back, but Li Tang was relentless, slicing with his Tang Blade while from the left, Werewolf Horn charged, roaring loudly, clenching his right fist and smashing it hard towards Li Chen.
And on the right, Fio’s Soft Sword was thrusting straight at him.
In a flash, Li Chen faced attacks from three people at once.
A twisted, maniacal smile painted Li Tang’s face.
The more formidable his opponent, the more excited he beca, prompting his hands wielding the Tang Blade to move even faster!
But all of a sudden, Li Tang’s Tang Blade was stamped down by Li Chen’s foot, pinning it to the ground, immobilized.
Li Tang was taken aback, but by that ti Fio and Horn were already upon him.
The seemingly unremarkable blade was full of murderous intent, and if Li Chen dared to et Horn’s fist head-on, he would be at a disadvantage.
Li Chen jumped up, kicking at Li Tang’s chin, and in an instant, Li Tang was sent flying.
While airborne, Fio tapped the ground with his foot, spun a circle with his hand, and his Soft Sword went straight for Li Chen’s right arm.
Li Chen caught the tip with two fingers, but then Fio shook his hand, and the Soft Sword, amazingly bending, sliced straight across, cutting into Li Chen’s body.
At the sa ti, Werewolf Horn let out a roar and punched, leaving Li Chen nowhere to dodge, forcing him to et the blow head-on.
His hand charged with True Qi, Li Chen clashed fists with Horn.
Suddenly, Horn was sent flying back, but Li Chen was not having an easy ti of it either; falling from the sky, his hand bled from the violent contact.
Just then, the sound of sothing cutting through the air ca from behind.
Li Chen turned to see Gustav’s Great Sword coming again, and as he thought of a response, a rustling sound approached—the Butcher’s Chains were targeting Li Chen once more.
Li Tang, who had stood up again, also took this opportunity to attack once more.
Li Chen dodged to avoid Gustav’s Great Sword and reached out with his left hand to push against his opponent, while his right hand reached for the Chains.
But Butcher Bruce gave the Chains a shake, and with a flick, they coiled around Li Chen’s right hand.
Damn it!
