“Babe, Xiaoxiao, let’s continue drinking,” Li Chen quickly lifted his glass, his eyes seemingly blurred, “I felt so good getting that off my chest today.
We’re not stopping until we’re completely drunk.”
Then, under Lin Xiaoxiao and Lin Yi’s gaze, he downed his drink again, and after finishing, Li Chen went to pour more, looking every bit the drunken ghost he was.
Lin Xiaoxiao watched him and snorted, but her heart felt sowhat distressed, while Lin Yi gently spoke, “That’s enough, stop drinking.”
However, before she could finish speaking, Li Chen suddenly collapsed onto the table, seemingly unconscious, his head resting on his hand, eyes tightly shut, and still holding a glass of red wine in his hand.
Lin Xiaoxiao’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief—could it be that her brother-in-law had drunk himself into a stupor?
Lin Yi looked at the unmoving Li Chen, a bitter smile flashing in her eyes.
