"Who the hell are you, kid? You dare to ss with us!" the three n raged.
"My na is Yang Qi," he stated indifferently.
"What? You’re Yang Qi?! Hahaha, we’ve hit the jackpot! The Young Master just said that if we watched the Zhao Family gate, we might be able to catch you. I can’t believe it’s actually you!"
The three n, after their initial shock, were overco with excitent.
"And what do you want to catch for?" Yang Qi asked.
"To kill you, of course! Why else do you think we’ve been guarding this place so diligently? If we kill you, we get a one billion bounty. If we capture you alive, we get ten billion," one of them laughed.
"Three more fools who value money over their lives. Didn’t any of you bother to investigate what I did back in Three Prefectures Town?" Yang Qi said, shaking his head.
"You arrogant brat! I don’t care what you did. Now, surrender without a fight!"
Suddenly, one of them shot forward, clearly trying to claim all the glory. He moved like a cheetah, leaping into the air with a terrifying aura. His hands ford into claws, resembling those of his nasake beast. A single strike from a blow like that would be enough to kill an ordinary person on the spot. The man was suprely confident in his attack, believing that even if it couldn’t kill Yang Qi, it would at least injure him severely.
"So Tang Chuan sent you here to die? Three Ninth-Rank Great Grandmasters dare to act so presumptuously before ?" Yang Qi shook his head again. He raised his right hand and, with a gentle flick of his finger, a terrifying wave of cold air rushed toward his assailant, instantly forming the Cold Ice Chains.
They coiled around the man, immobilizing him completely.
"Break!" the Martial Artist roared, struggling to break free. But it was useless. He was only a Ninth-Rank Great Grandmaster, whereas Yang Qi had already reached the first layer of the Body Tempering Stage. On the surface, this was equivalent to a First-Rank Overlord, but his actual combat power was comparable to a Third-Rank Overlord. A re Great Grandmaster stood no chance against him.
"Let go! Let go!" the Martial Artist cried out in terror, on the verge of madness.
Seeing this, the other two didn’t hesitate. They turned and fled in different directions, knowing they stood no chance against Yang Qi. If they didn’t escape now, they never would. Regrettably for them, Yang Qi was faster. Two more Cold Ice Chains shot out, ensnaring them as well.
"Who sent you?" Yang Qi asked coolly.
"We won’t talk!" one of them shouted.
Yang Qi sneered and clenched his right fist. The ice encasing the defiant man instantly shattered, and he died on the spot.
"Will you talk now?" Yang Qi said indifferently. "Actually, even if you don’t, I have my ways of finding out. I’ll give you three seconds to reconsider."
"Young Master Tang! It was Young Master Tang Chuan who sent us!" one of them blurted out in terror. "He told us to watch the people coming and going, especially young n, and to notify him imdiately if we saw you. We were too eager for the reward, so we decided to act on our own."
"Since you’ve talked, there’s no longer any need for him," Yang Qi said, his gaze falling upon the other silent man.
"Kid, do you know what you’re doing? You’re making an enemy of the Tang Family of Sea City! They’re a powerful family with a Martial Arts Overlord watching over them! Do you have a death wish?" that man yelled.
"A Martial Arts Overlord? It wouldn’t be the first one I’ve killed," Yang Qi scoffed with disdain. He snapped his fingers, and the second man died instantly.
"Did Tang Chuan co to Thunder City? Who ca with him?" Yang Qi continued his questioning.
"Yes, he’s here! Young Master Tang ca with his father, Tang Wenqiang. I’m not lying!" the last man cried. "I’ve told you everything! Please, spare my life! I’ll leave Thunder City imdiately and never get involved in this matter again!"
"Spare you? Did I say I would?" Yang Qi glanced at him indifferently. "You’re probably planning to go back and find soone else to kill , aren’t you? While I’m not afraid, I still have to kill you. I’m not in the habit of letting people who want dead walk away."
With that, Yang Qi flicked three small flas from his fingertips. In the next mont, the three corpses were reduced to ash. It wasn’t that he was afraid of trouble, but he had other people to think about. rcy would only lead to endless complications down the line. For that reason, he couldn’t let them go.
Afterward, Yang Qi wiped his hands with a moist towelette and headed toward the Zhao Family residence. As he reached the entrance, he saw Ye Qianqian arguing with Zhao Haishan.

"Perhaps. But what would you have do? Give up, just like you? Stand by and watch your own granddaughter leap into a pit of fire? Is that it?" Yang Qi sneered.
"What do you know! It’s called being realistic! A wise man knows his place!" Zhao Haishan shouted. "Do you think I don’t want to help my own granddaughter? I can’t! Tang Chuan alone possesses the terrifying combat power of a Half-step Overlord. And he’s only in his thirties! How can you possibly compare to him? The gap between you is as wide as the heavens and the earth, to say nothing of the other experts in the Tang Family. Wake up, kid! To them, you’re nothing but an ant!"
"Even an ant can defy the heavens, so why can’t I? Nothing is set in stone; we are both dark horses in this race. The only difference is that you’ve given up, and I haven’t. Yang Qi declared with disdain.
Zhao Haishan was stunned for a mont before shaking his head. "The foolish arrogance of youth. Unfortunately, reality is a harsh mistress, and your hubris is useless. It doesn’t matter how talented you are; if you’re dead, you have nothing. You should listen to Qianqian and leave. Go abroad. I will plead on your behalf to spare your life."
"Reality? Perhaps," Yang Qi said, shaking his head. "But to stand by and do nothing while my sister leaps into a pit of fire... I would rather die."
