But now, Tang Zhetian had been defeated, defeated by a young man only twenty-five years old. Such a thing feels as absurd as a dream. Yet as absurd as it was, it was reality.
Yang Qi walked toward the Spirit Car, dragged a coffin down from it, then grabbed Tang Zhetian and shoved him straight inside. Tang Zhetian was not yet dead, but he was already crippled. He wanted to resist but was utterly powerless to do so—a truly suffocating feeling.
"I told you, this Spirit Car was prepared for you," Yang Qi said indifferently, looking down at Tang Zhetian. "It’s a 100,000-yuan coffin. The quality isn’t bad, right? You can enjoy it in peace. Tell , why couldn’t you just stay in Sea City instead of repeatedly opposing ? How does it feel to end up like this?"
Tang Zhetian said nothing. Ever since the events in Three Prefectures Town, things had spiraled out of control. Tang Wenqiang had offended Yang Qi and then harbored a deep-seated hatred. The Tang Family had wanted to expand its influence in Thunder City and was willing to sacrifice Ye Qianqian to do so. They never expected that one misstep would lead to another and, ultimately, to this. It is a truly lantable outco.
"I told you, even if I die, you’re coming with !" Tang Zhetian said defiantly. "The King of Hidden Weapons, Tang Yu, will not let you off! Neither will the top ten families of Sea City. We are all branches of the sa tree. If my Tang Family falls, they won’t just stand by and watch. I’ll be waiting for you down there."
"A pity, but you’ll be waiting in vain, because I won’t be coming down to find you." Yang Qi glanced indifferently at Tang Zhetian, ready to send him on his way.
"Stop!"
Suddenly, a booming shout ca from outside, followed by a group of people bursting into the Zhao Family’s mansion.
Yang Qi hadn’t ordered Ye Feng to stop intruders, only to prevent anyone from leaving, so these people had entered quite easily. He paused his actions and sat on the coffin, looking indifferently at the crowd that had rushed in.
All these people wore special clothing, each embroidered with the character for "Hidden." The symbol imdiately made Yang Qi think of one person: the King of Hidden Weapons, Tang Yu.
The Tang Sect of Shu? So it really is them. The King of Hidden Weapons, Tang Yu, is rumored to be the Sect Leader of this generation.
"The Tang Sect of Shu has arrived," one of them, a man with hair and beard as white as snow, announced as he stepped toward Yang Qi. He spoke coldly, "He is already crippled. Release him."
"Elder Chen, you’ve finally co!" Tang Zhetian exclaid. "This young man killed Tang Chuan!" He didn’t ntion his own son or his own condition, going straight for Tang Chuan because Tang Chuan had ties to Tang Yu and the Tang Sect.
"Young man, we will settle your sins in a mont. Release him first, or you will die right now!" Elder Chen said, looking coldly at Yang Qi. His tone was completely authoritative, as if Yang Qi had to comply with his every word, leaving no room for negotiation.
Yang Qi furrowed his brow but remained seated, responding lightly, "And who are you to threaten ?"
Elder Chen was taken aback, not expecting Yang Qi to dare talk back to him. He burned with fury. "Young man, I am from the Tang Sect of Shu, here on the Sect Leader’s orders to rescue the Tang Family. Do you intend to make an enemy of the Tang Sect?"
Jia ngxue grew anxious and hurriedly said, "Mr. Yang, the Sect Leader of the Tang Sect of Shu is the King of Hidden Weapons! The sect is known as one of the ten great sects in Dragon Country; you absolutely cannot provoke them! If you make an enemy of them, the consequences will be unimaginable. They aren’t like the Tang Family of Sea City. They have practiced martial arts for generations, and their ranks are filled with countless Martial Artists!"
Elder Chen smirked. "Heard that, boy? Offend the Tang Sect of Shu and you will et a terrible end. Now, release him imdiately, or don’t bla for being discourteous!"
A smug smile spread across Tang Zhetian’s face. "Yang Qi, you didn’t expect the Tang Sect to arrive so quickly, did you? Today, you either release or you die!"
Yang Qi, however, just glanced at Tang Zhetian and laughed. "Did I not make myself clear? Even if the Jade Emperor himself ca today, you would still die!"
With those words, his golden longsword pierced through Tang Zhetian’s throat.
At that mont, Tang Zhetian was stunned. He could never have imagined that Yang Qi would dare to strike, not in front of Elder Chen. Is the man insane?
Jia ngxue was also stunned. She was sure she had made it clear how formidable the Tang Sect of Shu was, yet Yang Qi had still made his move.
She sighed. Things have just beco even more troubleso.
The mbers of the Black Wolf Sect, the Wang Family, and the Yan Family had thought there was hope now that soone from the Tang Sect of Shu had arrived. Surely Yang Qi wouldn’t provoke one of Dragon Country’s ten great sects, a force led by one of the Eight Kings of the World. But they never could have dread that Yang Qi’s hand would be so fast, his actions so devoid of hesitation.
This guy is a complete and utter madman! To ignore even the Tang Sect of Shu... Is he really planning to antagonize the Tang Sect and the King of Hidden Weapons, Tang Yu? This is insane!
Tang Zhetian died with his eyes wide open. He couldn’t understand how, despite having a backup plan, he had still ended up dead.
Seeing Elder Chen’s angry and shocked expression, Yang Qi smiled. "It’s all your fault. Why did you have to frighten ? When I get scared, I tend to lose control. See? This man might have lived for a few more seconds, but now, he’s kicked the bucket. Your Tang Sect of Shu must have had a grudge against him, right?"
"You!"
Elder Chen was so furious his beard bristled and his eyes bulged, looking as if he were on the verge of a stroke. He thought that dropping the na of the Tang Sect of Shu would intimidate Yang Qi, but it turned out to be utterly useless. And now this brat is trying to bla ? What’s this nonsense about being scared? You weren’t this frightened when you heard the na of the King of Hidden Weapons! Scared now? What an act!
Any fool could see that Yang Qi was doing this on purpose. He was deliberately slapping the Tang Sect of Shu in the face, showing them complete disrespect.
Elder Chen’s face was as dark as the bottom of a wok, his features almost invisible with rage. Although he had no personal connection to Tang Zhetian, the Tang Family of Sea City was a branch of the Tang Sect of Shu, and Tang Chuan and his mother shared blood ties with the sect. Yet, their people had been killed right in front of him!
He was seething with uncontrollable rage. The key issue is the loss of face. The honor of the Tang Sect of Shu cannot be tarnished. This Yang Qi must be taught a profound lesson.
A cold, murderous aura burst from Elder Chen as he beca like a maddened lion. He roared, "Young man, you are impressive, daring to disregard my words—the words of the Tang Sect of Shu! Do you realize that people like you don’t live for more than three days?"
"Are you still threatening ? Still trying to scare ?" Yang Qi retorted coolly. "Aren’t you afraid that if I get frightened, this sword in my hand might act on its own and kill a few of you? It doesn’t discriminate."
Since he had already offended them, he didn’t mind offending them further, because he simply didn’t care.
