They had assud he was just so Innate Ninth Realm Loose Cultivator, as weak as a mortal in their eyes.
They had assud the lightning from the Restriction had left him severely wounded and powerless!
And yet, with a single, simple, casual punch, he had obliterated all of the man’s defensive Secret Artifacts.
Su Feng, a prodigy of the Su Family—one of the Seven Great Families of the Southern Continent—had always been the one looking down on others, crushing his enemies.
But this ti, he saw only disdain in Jiang Jichen’s eyes. The shattered remains of his defensive Secret Artifacts seed to mock his ignorance, a testant to his own weakness.
In front of the Flowing Cloud Sect and his own family’s n, all of his defensive Secret Artifacts had been blown apart by a re Innate Ninth Realm Loose Cultivator.
For Su Feng, the third Young Master of the Su Family, this was a trendous humiliation.
At this mont, he wanted nothing more than to rip Jiang Jichen to shreds.
However, after that first close-range punch, Jiang Jichen’s attacks beca a relentless flood. His offensive was like the crashing tide, each wave of blows more powerful than the last.
Overbearing, savage, and utterly unreasonable!
This was the terror of a Body Refiner at close range, and Jiang Jichen was demonstrating it to its fullest potential, so much so that no one else could even think of intervening.
Su Feng unleashed the full power of his Earth-level Foundation Establishnt Initial Realm cultivation. A layer of Spiritual Power Array Patterns flared to life, defending his entire body. Gritting his teeth, he barely held on, sweat pouring down his face like rain as he was pushed into a miserable state.
He had a whole arsenal of Spirit Techniques and Tricks, but he was so beleaguered that he couldn’t form a single one.
Just as a powerful Spirit Cultivation Technique began to coalesce, Jiang Jichen’s fist would co crashing in, shattering the Spiritual Power he had just managed to gather.
If not for his Defensive Battle Armor, combined with his desperate use of a Spirit Cultivation Step Technique and a Defensive Spiritual Technique, he would have already been pumled to death by Jiang Jichen.
His only hope was to create so distance between them, which was precisely what Su Feng was desperately trying to do.
However, the hint of a smile played on Jiang Jichen’s lips. He unleashed his Step Technique, alternating between Fist Skills, palm strikes, and shadowy kicks to block off every one of Su Feng’s escape routes.
The onlookers, whether from the Su Family or the Flowing Cloud Sect, were completely unable to intervene. Su Feng and Jiang Jichen were locked in such close combat that any attack they launched might very well hit Su Feng instead.
The situation devolved into a strange spectacle: everyone from the Su Family and the Flowing Cloud Sect was forced to circle around Jiang Jichen and Su Feng as they fought.
Jiang Jichen’s fists were like the wind, his movents like a fleeting shadow, and his kicks like lightning. He continuously forced Su Feng back, leading the entire crowd from the Su Family and Flowing Cloud Sect on a chase around the plaza.
Eventually, the center of the plaza where the dicine Cauldron had once stood was empty, save for the five stranded people from the Sealed Ancient Land.
They stared blankly at the scene, completely at a loss, their eyes filled with bewildernt.
At the rcy of the Su Family and the Flowing Cloud Sect, and having just witnessed five of their companions turned into a bloody mist, they had fallen into despair, certain they would soon share the sa fate.
"Why are you still standing there? Run! I’m holding them off, but I don’t have much ti. If you split up, you might have a chance to live!"
Just then, Jiang Jichen’s voice suddenly echoed in their ears, startling them from their daze like a clap of Divine Thunder.
"Let’s go! We can’t waste the chance our young benefactor has given us!"
One of the young n from the Sealed Ancient Land whispered before taking off in one direction.
Without another mont’s hesitation, the other four scattered, fleeing in different directions.
The mbers of the Su Family and Flowing Cloud Sect were so completely focused on Jiang Jichen that they failed to notice the five people from the Sealed Ancient Land making their escape.
Once Jiang Jichen’s Divine Thought sensed the five had gotten far enough away, he suddenly spoke. "I’m done playing."
As the words fell, his fist struck, and Su Feng was sent flying.
SPURT!
Su Feng’s Defensive Spiritual Technique and Battle Armor shattered completely. The imnse Power of Fist Dao slamd into his body, injuring him severely. He coughed up blood as he flew backward, and by the ti he crashed to the ground, only the faintest wisp of his life-force remained.
The expressions of the Su Family and Flowing Cloud Sect mbers turned exceptionally grim. They hadn’t realized that the young man could have defeated Su Feng so easily. He had deliberately dragged out the fight; he had been toying with them all along.
And, of course, they had now noticed the five escapees from the Sealed Ancient Land.
At last, everyone understood Jiang Jichen’s true intentions.
Jiang Jichen clearly couldn’t rescue the five people from the Sealed Ancient Land himself; all he could do was buy them ti to escape on their own.
"Brat, do you have any idea who you just injured? That’s the third Young Master of the Su Family! You’ve brought a calamity upon yourself—no one can save you now!"
SHING! The ancient sword on Weii Qing’s back flew from its scabbard. Its cold, dazzling light pointed directly at Jiang Jichen.
Jiang Jichen, however, just smiled faintly. "Only injured? I ant to kill him."
’It was true.’ Jiang Jichen had intended for that punch to kill Su Feng, but to his surprise, a mysterious wisp of energy within Su Feng’s body had protected him, keeping his life-force from being extinguished.
’A real sha I couldn’t finish him off.’
"Arrogant!"
"Insolent!"
"You’re courting death!"
Hearing Jiang Jichen’s words, the surrounding mbers of the Su Family and Flowing Cloud Sect roared in fury and launched their attacks at him from all sides.
They now knew Jiang Jichen was a powerful Body Refiner, a threat to them all in close quarters.
Shocked and deeply wary, they all attacked from a distance.
Amidst the barrage of attacks, Jiang Jichen’s eyes focused on a single flash of Sword Light.
It was a sword from the Flowing Cloud Sect.
The Three Major Sects of the Southern Continent: Lingxu Temple, the Blood Refining Alliance, and the Flowing Cloud Sect.
Lingxu Temple was known for its Three Thousand Dao Skills, the Blood Refining Alliance for its countless Abnormal Techniques, and the Flowing Cloud Sect for its swords.
This showed that the Flowing Cloud Sect was renowned for its Sword Skills, its power in the Southern Continent perhaps second only to the Heavenly Sword Alliance.
The Flowing Cloud Sword Skill was bizarre and unpredictable, like clouds drifting across the sky—ethereal, indeterminate, and free-form.
The sword in Weii Qing’s hand executed a simple thrust, yet it seed to contain a thousand variations, making it impossible to dodge. One could only et it head-on.
But the way of the sword was sharp and devastating, capable of destroying anything in its path. How could such an attack be easy to receive?
A strange light flickered in Jiang Jichen’s eyes. With the Red Copper Rust Sword in hand, he faced the surrounding attacks and executed the Illusory Indeterminacy Step Technique.
At the sa ti, the Red Copper Rust Sword in his hand began to move, its motion as illusory and ever-changing as the stars in the night sky, dreamlike and epheral.
"Star Transformation!"
With a soft cry from Jiang Jichen, a Sword Intent that seed to hold the transformations of a thousand stars t Weii Qing’s Flowing Cloud Sword Intent head-on.
CLANG!
In that final clash of Sword Light, the single resulting clang sounded as if ten thousand strikes had occurred in an instant.
The illusion of floating clouds shattered and the Sword Light vanished. Weii Qing’s expression changed to one of shock as he was forced back three steps!
Jiang Jichen had already brushed past him. Behind him, all the other attacks hit nothing but air.
"Flowing Cloud Sword Intent, the Heavenly Sword Dao... a pity... you’re still lacking."
Jiang Jichen’s faint voice drifted back, but his figure had already vanished from the sight of the Su Family and Flowing Cloud Sect mbers after just a few flickers.
Hearing Jiang Jichen’s words, Weii Qing’s face turned livid, but he did not give chase.
Because... he knew he couldn’t possibly catch him.
