Li Yu ascended through the chaotic and blood soaked sky and the higher he climbed above the twisted canopy of the Primal Howl Realm, the thicker the toxic blight beca. He stopped a good distance away from the Blight Maw Kraken, this was the optimal distance. The Koi martial spirit resting within his soul space vibrated with intense and predatory eagerness. A tether of absorption linked Li Yu directly to the aquatic horror above him.

He did not pull violently, a sudden and aggressive drain would alert the Creation Lord beast instantly. The Kraken would turn its full and terrifying attention upon him and most likely swat him from the sky like a common insect. Instead, Li Yu established a slow and steady siphon.

He acted as a persistent parasite hiding in the shadows of a much larger conflict. The vast ocean like Qi of the Kraken began to trickle into his body. To a mutated beast of that magnitude, the loss of Qi was like a slow bleed from a tiny scratch. It was imperceptible in the heat of a life-and-death struggle against a Supre Exalt.

For Li Yu, however, that slow bleed was a raging river of energy.

Down below, the warriors of the Zhan Clan watched his ascent with questioning eyes. Zhan Chen punched a hole through a flock of mutated avians and looked up at his younger cousin. He saw Li Yu hovering dangerously close to the ultimate threat in this area. The heir assud Li Yu was intentionally drawing the aggression of the falling swarm to protect the juniors on the ground.

The escort elders felt the sa way. They thought highly of this young man that was also from the orthodox Li Clan. He was brave and fierce in his fighting. Li Yu was actively trying to take on an imnse and deadly burden to help ensure the survival of his family mbers. They did not understand that Li Yu was actually trying to help the elder above and in a practical way, himself.

As the swarm converged on his elevated position, Li Yu decided it was ti to stop holding back at all. He closed his eyes for a fraction of a second and let the seemingly infinite power of the siphoned Qi rush through his dual nodes.

An invisible pulse expanded from his body and it ford a large sphere of slightly distorted and shimring air. He had his domain fully activated now. To an outside observer, it looked like a simple heat mirage. To any beast caught inside it, it was an inescapable kill zone forged from four pillars.

A group of four winged avian predators dove into the shimring sphere and the beasts found their perception of reality changing. The wings on their left side slowed to a sluggish crawl, while the wings on their right side accelerated to ten tis their normal speed. The resulting temporal whiplash tore the birds apart in mid air before they could even launch an attack.

While the enemies struggled to comprehend the erratic flow of ti, their very consciousness fell under siege. The combined spiritual weight of Li Yu’s five Nascent Souls pressed down heavily upon the minds of the monsters and their thoughts grew thick and sluggish. The command to swing a claw took whole seconds to reach their limbs. It multiplied their disorientation and trapped them in a nightmare.

Within his domain, his vitality was enhanced. The ambient life force of the dying beasts fueled his own regeneration, healing any minor scrapes he sustained from the chaotic lee. The mont the corrupted creatures entered his space, they began to quietly rot. Their stamina bled away into the void and their Qi reserves slowly evaporated. The longer they stayed in the domain and tried to fight through the ti, chaos and the soul suppression, the weaker they beca.

This complex manifestation of laws was entirely different from the domains utilized by the Zhan Clan. The elders and Zhan Chen also had their domains activated but their domains were relatively straightforward compared to Li Yu’s but that didn’t necessarily an they were weaker. As physical body cultivators, their domains often boosted one specific aspect of their physical prowess.

Zhan Chen projected a domain that multiplied his striking strength. One of the escort elders projected a domain of toughness, turning his body into an impenetrable fortress that ignored attacks below a certain threshold. They were highly effective but lacked the layered lethality of Li Yu's conceptual forest.

With a stable and seemingly endless supply of Qi flowing from the Kraken above, Li Yu began to get incredibly liberal with his Qi techniques. Cultivators always had to manage their reserves and pace themselves during a prolonged battle. Li Yu discarded that fundantal rule and he did not need to pace himself anymore.

His four primary swords flew faster and faster as well as wider and wider. Creating a larger and larger area of death. The glowing cocoon of death spun with terrifying and unrestrained ferocity. The drill of blades shredded the sky and Li Yu also sent Silent Bastion flying away from him.

He no longer kept it close for a shield, he used the rusted slab as a battering ram at all tis. Li Yu was also smashing around with his staff for enemies that were able to make inside or were stronger. He swung Star Crusher with both hands and was crushing the spines of heavily armored serpents and caving in the chests of mutated beasts.

When an enemy that seed a bit too strong got near his position, Li Yu did not waste ti in a prolonged duel. He intentionally directed the beast toward Zhan Chen or one of the other elders for them to take care of. It would be a waste of his ti to wear the beast down enough to strike the final blow. The heir would raise his fist and obliterate the redirected monster in a devastating blow. It was a highly efficient synergy that he developed with the others.

If he could really not redirect the beast, he would take it on himself. He commanded his finest blade and Pale Extinction would shoot forward like a gray phantom. Since the sword was so powerful, it could penetrate innate defenses with ease. It ignored the thick bone spurs and rock armor of the corrupted beasts and pierced directly into their vital organs. Even the strongest beasts needed to take caution against it.

Li Yu himself also launched Abyssal Javelins as well with his surplus Qi. He ford the destructive spears all around him and hurled them deep into the swarm.

Down below, his Qi clone was doing the sa thing as well as reinforcing the disciples. The blur of blue energy dashed across the defensive periter of the juniors. It launched volley after volley of Abyssal Javelins to assist the struggling cultivators as well as protective Qi barriers to help them take a blow. It followed up with freezing ice techniques that locked the joints of the monsters and made them easier stationary targets for the warhamrs of the young body refiners.

There were Qi techniques raining everywhere from just Li Yu, in addition to all the others fighting as well. The sky was filled with Qi arts, fists, dark javelins, spinning swords and crushing staff strikes from all the combatants. Li Yu just kept on pouring it on without a single mont of rest. He was doing a level of damage that went way beyond what his Paragon cultivation suggested he should be able to do and he looked like an ancient war god possessing the body of a young man while doing it.

The Zhan Clan warriors and the elders could only think of one thing while looking up at him. They watched the glowing cocoon of swords, the raining javelins and the sheer craziness of his unrestrained Qi techniques flying every which way, sotis getting close to but never striking an ally. They gave him a nickna that quickly spread through the roaring of the battle.

“The Spinning Calamity!”

The title fit him perfectly in his current state but the na was quite brutish and direct, without any elegance. He was a freak of nature causing a literal localized hurricane of destruction.

The burden on the entire group lessened significantly with Li Yu’s sudden burst in power. The juniors found themselves facing far fewer enemies, allowing them to cycle their Qi and catch their breath. Even Zhan Chen and the escort elders had their burdens lessened now. The spinning drill of swords chewed through the bulk of the horde before it could even reach their lower altitude.

They could finally breathe slightly easier but the overarching fear of the Kraken above was still a very real and present threat. If Elder Zhan Mo fell, the beast would descend and wipe them all out in a matter of seconds. The battle was far from won but at least they were stablizing unstead of getting worse.

‘How is he managing to that level of output?’ Was the single thought everyone had towards Li Yu at the ti..

High above the raining chaos, Elder Zhan Mo was locked in a bitter struggle for his own life and the lives of those below. Then, the Supre Exalt noticed sothing strange. The force behind the Kraken's swinging tentacles was slightly weaker than it had been a few minutes ago. Its relentless torrent of toxin was not as thick or as expansive as before.

The elder did not know about the invisible siphon draining the beast from below. Zhan Mo did not know that The Spinning Calamity was actively feeding off the monster to power his newly minted nickna that he never heard through the sound of roaring beasts. Zhan Mo only knew that he was starting to gain the upper hand for one reason or another.

He did not question his good fortune though. Zhan Mo seized the opportunity and began his counterattack.

He roared and the sound shattered the clouds as he pushed his physical domain to its limit, solidifying the space around his skin into an unbreakable fortress. He gathered every ounce of his might into his right arm as he lunged forward, completely ignoring a glancing blow from a smaller tentacle and brought his hand down like an executioner's axe.

The physical force of the strike severed one of the Kraken's primary tentacles completely off. Black, corrupted blood erupted from the stump like a geyser and rained down upon the twisted forest below.

The Blight Maw Kraken let out a deafening and agonizing shriek at one of its lost arms. The beast seed to sense that sothing was really wrong now. Its energy was fading far faster than its physical exertion could account for. It possessed the instincts of a Creation Lord and those instincts scread that it was in mortal danger.

However, Li Yu’s drain was still at a steady and controlled rate. The beast could not tell what was happening or where the drain was coming from amidst the chaotic battle and the relentless strikes of the Supre Exalt. It only felt an encroaching and inexplicable weakness.

This lack of understanding drove the Kraken into a state of blind fury. It just started to get angrier and unleash more desperate albeit uncoordinated attacks. The remaining tentacles whipped through the sky in a frenzy of violent motion as Zhan Mo deflected the first two with heavy punches.

He pushed forward and was aiming for another joint. He managed to strike true once again as his fist shattered the thick base of a second tentacle, tearing it loose from the bulbous body of the beast with a sickening crunch.

In the exact sa mont, the Kraken lashed out with a desperate strike. A tentacle that was hidden by the spray of black blood slamd directly into the chest of the elder. The impact was catastrophic as the remaining armor shattered completely under the desperate might of the wounded Creation Lord.

Elder Zhan Mo was launched downward like a falling star and he crashed into the earth with enough force to create a crater the size of a small city. The impact threw up a towering cloud of dust and shattered stone as the ground violently shook beneath the feet of the Zhan Clan juniors.
