"That confident?" Ethan raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"If it were just , I might consider dragging things out a bit," Seraphina said, shifting her tone. Then, with absolute confidence, she continued, "But now? Whether it’s , Cicero, or Elyra, we’re all fully grown. Numbers an nothing to us! Without real power, they won’t even be able to stand in front of us. Besides, with Eldorin and Bromir on our side, if five Hero-class units can’t take down a single Colossal Gold Mine, that’d be downright embarrassing!"

"I agree with Seraphina."

Cicero, who rarely voiced his opinion, nodded without hesitation. "At our level, low-tier units are completely aningless. Whether it’s Seraphina’s Venomous Dragon Breath, my own, or Elyra’s Divine Storm, or even Eldorin’s Entangling Roots—we wipe out entire armies in a single strike. Two or three hits, and they’re all dead!"

"In other words, the only real threats here are the Tier-14 Mythic Units—the Ancient Behemoths—and maybe the Tier-13 Legendary Units, the Behemoths. Other than them? Those Cyclops and Cyclops Kings just don’t cut it."

At those words, everyone except Seraphina—Elynn, Eldorin, and even Elyra—felt a little embarrassed.

Because to them, Tier-11 Cyclops and Tier-12 Cyclops Kings were anything but "not enough."

But Cicero and Seraphina were just that strong.

Which ant they had every right to say it.

After all, power dictated authority.

That was just how it worked.

"And more importantly, the forces guarding the Colossal Gold Mine aren’t even real units—they’re Soul Sentinels."

Seraphina’s confidence didn’t waver for a second. "A Soul Sentinel is only about 70% as strong as a regular unit. And since they don’t get any buffs from Hero-class units, they’re even weaker! As long as Cicero and I hold off the three Ancient Behemoths and the twenty Tier-13 Behemoths, the rest will be nothing but cannon fodder!"

Soul Sentinels—a unique existence separate from regular units, Hero-class units, and even special units.

They only appeared in wild Creature Dwellings or guarding resource sites.

As ntioned before, the world of Glory Lords X had a concept of souls.

aning that when regular units, special units, or even Hero-class units died, their soul energy could sotis linger, forming mindless, fearless Soul Sentinels.

They existed solely to guard wild Creature Dwellings and resource sites.

But since they were already dead, their strength was nowhere near what it had been in life. At best, they retained a little over 70% of their original power—sotis even less.

In other words, while the sheer number of defenders at the Colossal Gold Mine might seem intimidating...

In reality?

Not so much.

"Seraphina, I’m leaving this entirely in your hands. Whatever forces you need, you’ll have them," Ethan said without hesitation.

"Yes, Master!"

The mont Ethan spoke, Seraphina’s eyes lit up with excitent.

"Master, I want Elyra, Cicero, and Eldorin with !"

"Aside from that, I only need Tier-11 and Tier-12 Royal Units, plus Orryn. Oh, and don’t forget the Sun Deer, Moon Doe, and Vestal!"

"Got it," Ethan nodded, turning to Seraphina. "Elynn, take care of this right away."

"Understood!"

"Master, Your Highness Seraphina, please wait a mont. I’ll be right back," Elynn responded promptly before turning and leaving the room.

It didn’t take long before Elynn returned, bringing with her all the units Seraphina had requested. She handed them over in the eting room.

"Your Highness Seraphina, here are the Tier-11 and Tier-12 units you asked for: twelve Tier-6 Vestal, six Tier-9 Moon Doe, four Tier-10 Sun Deer, two Tier-12 Cyclops Kings, one Tier-12 Naga Queen, two Tier-12 Wyvern Monarchs, and eleven Tier-11 Unicorns!"

Just outside the Gleaming Forest, near the Treant Gathering Encampnt, there were two Unicorn Glades—recruitnt sites for Tier-11 Unicorns.

The two Unicorn Glades could produce six Tier-11 Unicorns in total.

Since Ethan had the gold to spare, he recruited them all.

Originally, they should have only gotten four.

But thanks to the initial recruitnt bonus from the Creature Dwellings, they received two extra slots, bringing the total to six. Adding in the five they already had, that made eleven.

"Perfect!"

"This should be more than enough," Seraphina said with a confident smile.

"Seraphina, how do you plan to handle this battle?" Ethan suddenly asked.

"It’s actually pretty simple."

Seraphina had clearly thought this through long before Ethan even asked. Without hesitation, she laid out her plan in an orderly manner.

"Cicero and I will hold off the Tier-13 Behemoths and the Tier-14 Ancient Behemoths. The rest of the team can take their ti dealing with the rest. As long as all the units are under my command, their power will increase significantly, making it nearly impossible for them to die. The Vestal, Moon Doe, and Sun Deer are just extra insurance."

Her strategy was straightforward—but undeniably effective.

Their sheer strength was more than enough to justify this kind of reckless, aggressive approach.

They didn’t need complex tactics.

Realizing this, Ethan decided there was no point in asking further.

With a swift motion, he waved his hand.

"Then let’s move out!"

To be honest, the mont Ethan laid eyes on the defenses of the Colossal Gold Mine, he felt a little uneasy.

Tens of thousands—maybe even hundreds of thousands—of low-tier units, hundreds upon hundreds of powerful Royal Units, and even a double-digit number of Legendary Units. Not to ntion, three Mythic Units...

Even if they were all just Soul Sentinels, that sheer number of troops was enough to wage a full-scale war against an entire kingdom. The sheer scale of it was staggering.

But Seraphina and Cicero’s confidence was infectious. Screw it—if they were going in, they were going in. Worst case? They’d take a loss. Sure, Ethan’s pockets weren’t exactly deep right now, but he could afford to take a hit.

Losses were just part of the process when building a rising force.

There was no way every battle, every siege, would be a flawless victory. No one ca out unscathed every ti. That was just unrealistic.

Win or lose, every fight was a valuable learning experience.

Besides, both Seraphina and Cicero held an incredibly special place in Ethan’s heart. If Seraphina wanted this fight and believed they could win, then he’d back her up—no questions asked.

After all, he trusted Seraphina completely.

Just like she trusted him.

"ROAR!"

A massive creature, towering over ten thousand feet tall, appeared above Erald Castle. With Ethan and the others on its back—along with the castle’s assembled forces—it soared eastward toward the Fury Wasteland.

Its speed was staggering. In just a few short hours, they arrived at their destination—the Colossal Gold Mine.

"Master, there it is."

Amidst the howling winds and swirling sand of the barren wasteland, Seraphina hovered in the sky, gazing down at the enormous gold mine in the distance. Her eyes glead with a sharp, battle-hungry light as she pointed toward it.

The entire Colossal Gold Mine looked less like a mine and more like a massive fortress entrenched in the desert. Its scale was imnse—vast in both width and depth.

It wasn’t just a mine; it was a fully militarized stronghold. Walls, watchtowers, war machines—everything was in place.

And then there were the Soul Sentinels.

An endless tide of them poured from the fortress, their numbers seemingly infinite. The sheer sight of it was enough to make anyone’s scalp tingle.

It was the kind of place that made you want to turn around and never co back.

Save yourself the trouble.

"Seraphina, get ready..." Ethan pressed his lips together, his voice steady.

"ROAR!"

Seraphina let out a deep dragon’s cry before turning to Cicero and Elyra. Her voice was calm but commanding.

"Cicero, you and I will keep the Behemoths and Ancient Behemoths occupied. Elyra, hold back for now. Wait until all the Soul Sentinels have erged from their nests before you start attacking. Got it?"

"Understood, Seraphina." Elyra nodded without hesitation.

"No worries."

Cicero shrugged, bouncing on his feet as if shaking off his usual lazy deanor. He didn’t care about putting on a show for most people...

But there were two exceptions.

Ethan.

And Seraphina.

Ethan was its master—the most important, most respected person in its entire life, from childhood to now. If Ethan gave an order, no matter what it was, Cicero would give everything he had to see it through.

As for Seraphina, their bond went even deeper. They had been together since they were still in their dragon eggs. From the mont Ethan found them, hatched them, and raised them, they had grown side by side. Their connection was stronger than blood—closer than even real siblings.

There was no way Cicero wouldn’t give Seraphina the respect she deserved.

"Eldorin..."

At the sa ti, Seraphina turned her gaze toward Eldorin.

"Your Highness Seraphina, your command?" Eldorin imdiately straightened up, his tone serious.

As a newcor to Erald Castle, his relationship with Seraphina, Cicero, and the others was still in its early stages—distant, even. And standing before Seraphina, a Crimson Ultimate Green Dragon hero, he wouldn’t dare show even the slightest hint of disrespect.

"Will the desert terrain affect your abilities?" Seraphina asked.

"Not at all!"

Eldorin answered without hesitation, his voice brimming with confidence. "If I were just an ordinary Treant Soldier, then yes, the desert would weaken . But I’m not. As a unit hero—an Orange Legendary hero, no less—my power isn’t sothing a re change in terrain can suppress. You have nothing to worry about, Your Highness."

"Good."

Seraphina nodded, then gave her orders without delay.

"Eldorin, your task is simple—take root here and use your innate skill, Entangling Roots, to tear down the Colossal Gold Mine’s defenses. At the sa ti, protect our ranged support and healing units. Understood?"

"Understood!" Eldorin responded imdiately, without a mont’s doubt.
