"Count Valkarion, just as you hoped—we of the Unicorn Duchy are ready to send troops to support you. In fact, our forces have already arrived..."
Inside Castle Lucan,
Marquis Lucan bead as he spoke to Ethan.
This was no small matter for him.
First, once this was over, Ethan had promised to owe him a favor—a valuable chip in any political ga. Second, between the Crimsonstar Kingdom and Erald Castle, Lucan had always believed Erald Castle held more promise.
After all, the value and potential of a Crimson Ultimate Hero? That was no joke.
And this wasn’t just one.
There were two.
Two Crimson Ultimate Heroes. Anyone native to the world of Glory Lords X knew exactly what that ant.
If both of them managed to grow into their full power,
it would spell absolute catastrophe for the Crimsonstar Kingdom—like a storm that could tear the heavens apart.
"Thanks..."
Ethan gave a slight nod in response, then shifted his gaze past Lucan to soone standing just behind him—a familiar face. His lips curled into a half-smile, half-smirk.
"Sir Roland. Long ti no see..."
Roland of the Castle faction.
The Unicorn Duchy’s strongest warrior.
A Tier 11 Cavalier from the Castle faction, and a C-rank orange Legendary Hero.
And not just any Legendary Hero—he’d undergone a second awakening. Currently over level 60...
Setting aside the minor grudges and past friction between them, the guy was undeniably a top-tier powerhouse. Maybe not quite on par with the Crimsonstar Kingdom’s Tier 12, level 70 Naga Swordmaster, but not far off either.
"We et again..."
Roland—Thal’Zor, as he was known in so circles—frowned slightly, his expression complicated as he looked at Ethan. Then his eyes flicked to soone standing just behind Ethan—Cicero.
A flicker of shock and awe flashed deep in his gaze.
"So it’s true... a second Crimson Ultimate Hero..."
He murmured under his breath.
He’d already t Seraphina.
But this was his first ti seeing Cicero.
And he could tell, clear as day—this one was the real deal too. A genuine Crimson Ultimate Hero. Still young, still unawakened a second ti, but the potential was unmistakable.
Crimson Ultimate Heroes were Crimson Ultimate Heroes—raw or refined, their value and potential were always sky-high.
And only getting higher. They never depreciated.
With that thought, a flicker of resolve passed through Roland’s eyes. He turned to Ethan and spoke slowly.
"Count Valkarion, about what happened before... I apologize. I was out of line."
"It’s in the past. Let’s not bring it up again," Ethan replied.
"Fair enough..."
Roland nodded, then got straight to the point.
"From here on out, I’ll follow your lead. And more than that—I’ve brought with two hundred Tier 13 Legendary Angels, and fifty Mythic-tier Archangels."
"Two hundred Tier 13 Angels and fifty Mythic Archangels?!" Ethan’s whole body tensed, a jolt of excitent running through him.
That was a terrifying number. If it ca to war, this force alone could steamroll over half the minor nations on the continent.
"Yeah..." Roland nodded again, his tone steady. "Our Unicorn Duchy’s Tier 11 and Tier 12 Royal Units aren’t suited for naval warfare. Only the Angelic race can really hold their own at sea against the Crimsonstar Kingdom."
He paused, then added, "Originally, we could only spare a hundred Tier 13 Angels and twenty Tier 14 Archangels to support you. But then Lord Cain heard about the situation... The rest of the troops ca from him. He said he owed you a favor."
"Cain..."
Ethan paused for a mont, then nodded. "Got it. When I see him, I’ll thank him in person."
After a beat, he added, "Oh, right—what do you guys know about Thalric from the Crimsonstar Kingdom?"
"He’s strong. Really strong," Roland replied without hesitation. There was a flicker of wariness in his eyes as he continued, "If it were a land battle, I could probably hold him off—barely. But out at sea? One-on-one? I’d be at a serious disadvantage... Still, it doesn’t matter. Wars aren’t won by individual strength alone. And even if they were, Thalric wouldn’t be the one to decide the outco."
"Exactly," Marquis Lucan chid in, nodding confidently. "Thalric’s powerful, sure—but he’s not invincible. Even at sea, Roland can keep him busy for a while. And that’s all we need."
"Crimsonstar Kingdom only has around sixty Mythic-tier, Tier 14 units total. If they can even field half of that, it’d already be impressive. But that’s still only about half of what we’re bringing to the table. They can’t beat us. And besides..."
Lucan’s tone shifted, his eyes narrowing with a sly smile. "Besides, I’ve got seven Sacred Kirin—Tier 14, Mythic-class. Twenty more Kirin at Tier 13. And close to two hundred Naga Swordsn and Swordmasters—Tier 11 and 12."
As the naval shield of the Unicorn Duchy,
the Lucan family commanded the kingdom’s most elite mariti forces.
And Marquis Lucan had full authority over them.
Sure, it wasn’t quite on the level of casually fielding dozens—or even hundreds—of Mythic or Legendary units like so of the top-tier factions. But let’s be honest: this kind of force was nothing to scoff at.
"Fair point," Ethan nodded, agreeing with the assessnt.
"Alright then," he said, turning to both n. "Marquis Lucan, Sir Roland—let take you to the Stellamaris Kingdom’s dinsional rift."
"Sounds good."
"Lead the way."
Lucan and Roland nodded in unison, following Ethan as they headed toward the open sea.
...
Deep within the Stellamaris Kingdom’s alternate dinsion,
a massive portal towered over the land—thousands of feet tall and wide, both vertically and horizontally. The air around it shimred with intense spatial energy.
Countless magical particles floated and danced around the structure, rising and falling like glowing embers, giving the whole scene an otherworldly, almost sacred feel.
"This is the Twinfold Arcane Gate?" Ethan asked, eyes wide with excitent as he stared at the portal.
"Yep," Cicero replied with a nod. "There are two of them, built as a pair. Once we place the second gate at the designated location, we’ll be able to travel freely between both points."
