As Ethan scanned Kairos’s stats, his eyes narrowed slightly in surprise.

Level 74?

Damn. This guy might actually be stronger than that other Naga Swordmaster from Crimsonstar Kingdom—Thalric, wasn’t it?

No wonder. He’s one of Sea King Maelthorak’s top n.

Definitely impressive.

"Kairos," Ethan said, skipping the pleasantries, "I heard you brought a divine ssage from Sea King Maelthorak. Mind if I take a look?"

"Of course," Kairos replied with a smug grin, clearly pleased with Ethan’s directness.

"It’s an honor for you, Lord Valkarion, to receive a divine ssage from Sea King Maelthorak himself." As he spoke, Kairos pulled out a golden scroll and held it out with both hands, offering it to Ethan.

"This is the Sea King’s oracle. As for the details... I’ll let you read it yourself."

Ethan took the scroll and unrolled it, scanning the contents. His brows furrowed almost imdiately. He looked up, eyes sharp.

"Kairos... Sea King Maelthorak wants to summon Kyros?"

Kairos gave a calm, almost amused smile.

"Lord Valkarion, surely you’re aware—Sea King Maelthorak, like your subordinate Prince Kyros, is a Crimson Ultimate Hero of the Kirin bloodline."

"So, it’s only natural that he’d want to et with one of his own kind, don’t you think?"

As he spoke, his eyes narrowed slightly. Those grotesque, fish-like eyes glinted with sothing between amusent and nace. Whether intentional or not, there was a clear undercurrent of threat in his gaze.

Then, in a tone that was far too casual to be innocent, he added:

"Or... is it that you’re trying to keep the Sea King from reuniting with his kin, Valkarion?"

The warning in his words was unmistakable—sharp and deliberate.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed in turn, his expression cooling.

The air between them grew tense.

"Kairos," Ethan said coolly, eyes locked on the Naga Swordmaster, his voice calm but edged with steel. "Was that supposed to be a threat?"

Kairos chuckled, shaking his head with exaggerated mockery, arrogance practically dripping from his every movent. He stood up slowly, towering over Ethan, his scaly face twisted into a sneer.

"No, no, no..." he said, voice thick with disdain. "You think I ca here to negotiate with you? Oh, little man... you really don’t get it, do you?"

He leaned forward slightly, his tone turning sharp, condescending.

"I’m not here to ask. I’m here to inform. Whether you like it or not, whether you accept it or not, the Sea King’s oracle has been delivered. Your only job now is to bow your head and accept it."

"Unless, of course... you’re planning to defy the will of the Sea King."

But before he could finish basking in his own smugness, Ethan rose to his feet as well, his expression unreadable, eyes narrowing.

"And what if I say no?"

"No?" Kairos blinked, caught off guard for a split second—then burst into laughter.

"HAHAHAHA! Hahahahaha!"

He threw his head back, laughing like he’d just heard the world’s funniest joke.

"You? Say no? Hahahaha! Do you even know who you’re talking about? You think soone like you has the right to say no to Sea King Maelthorak’s divine will?"

The mask was off now. Kairos wasn’t even pretending to be diplomatic anymore.

He looked down at Ethan with pure contempt, his voice cold and sharp as a blade.

"You’re nothing but a lucky little insect. And Sea King Maelthorak? He’s a god among heroes. A Crimson Ultimate. A force of nature."

"Refuse?" he scoffed. "No one refuses the Sea King’s oracle. Especially not you."

"Now, I’ll give you one last chance, human. Hand over the Kirin prince. Leave the sea. Crawl back to whatever hole you ca from. Or else..."

His voice dropped, low and venomous.

"Or else the Sea King’s infinite power will show you what true destruction looks like. What real despair feels like."

Ethan’s chest rose sharply, fury igniting in his veins like wildfire. His eyes burned with cold fire as he stepped forward, his voice laced with venomous sarcasm.

"Infinite power?" he repeated, lips curling into a smirk. "You an that half-wit who got his ass handed to him by the Thunder King from the Tower faction?"

He let out a short, scornful laugh.

"That pathetic cripple is what you call ’infinite power’? Please. Either you’ve got no sha, or he’s just that delusional. A half-broken, washed-up Crimson Ultimate Hero, limping around like so kind of sea clown—and you expect to take him seriously?"

Ethan’s voice sharpened, his words slicing through the air like blades.

"Let make sothing real clear, fish-face. I’ve been roasting fools like you since before you even slithered out of your tide pool. You think you can out-trash-talk ? Please. If I can’t verbally gut you, call your dad. And if you can’t clap back, I’m your granddad. Simple as that."

He took a step closer, eyes locked on Kairos, his tone deadly calm.

"You really thought this was a joke?"

The room fell into a tense silence, the air crackling with the heat of a storm about to break.

The so-called "tough guy" with the vocabulary of a brick wall finally showed his true colors.

Sure, he was great at throwing his weight around, acting all high and mighty, and sneering like he owned the place—but when it ca to actual trash talk? The guy was a joke. A total lightweight.

He was already on the verge of an aneurysm, and all he could manage was the classic "You’re courting death! You dare defy the gods?!" spiel?

Pfft. That’s it? That’s your big coback?

A guy like that? He wouldn’t last a full match in ranked. Hell, he’d rage-quit halfway through his first ga and bla lag.

BOOM!

RUMMMMMMBLE...

The next second, a terrifying surge of energy exploded from Kairos’s body, shaking the entire throne hall. The floor cracked beneath his feet, and the air around him shimred with raw, violent power.

His eyes bulged with fury, veins popping at his temples as he glared daggers at Ethan. His whole body trembled with rage, and his voice ca out in a guttural snarl.

"You filthy human insect! You dare mock the divine?!"

"To insult the dignity of a god—I, Naga Swordmaster Kairos, will make you pay for your blasphemy!"

Ethan just shrugged, completely unfazed. His eyes, however, had gone cold—ice-cold. A sharp glint of killing intent flickered in them like a blade catching light.

"Then co on," he said flatly. "Let’s fight."

He wasn’t bluffing. He wasn’t posturing. He ant it.

Right now, he had most of his arsenal on him. His gear, his artifacts, his summons—everything. This was the peak of his current power.

And he wasn’t about to back down.

He was already pissed off. Still bitter about getting wrecked by that Leviathan Hero. Sure, he could accept losing to a fully awakened Crimson Ultimate Hero—that was fair. But this guy?

This S-rank Orange Legendary Hero?

Who the hell did he think he was?

You think you can walk in here, throw your weight around, and act like you’re untouchable?

Nah. You’re just another overhyped fish with a sword.

Let’s see if you can still talk shit with your face buried in the floor.

But just as the tension hit its peak—just as the fight was about to explode—

Sothing changed.

A sudden shift in the air.
