"I know... but it’s not just —Lord Malgrath is here too!" said the Inferno Devil known as Baelthar, flashing a graceful, almost smug smile.

At that mont, the Red Dragon Ashendar’s eyes narrowed sharply. His pupils contracted as he snapped, surprised, "Malgrath’s here too? Where?!"

Baelthar simply pointed upward. "See for yourself."

Ashendar looked up—and there, looming in the smoke-choked sky, was a towering, ancient Inferno Devil. His presence radiated a heavy, oppressive evil, and his expression was cold, unreadable as he stared down at them.

There was no mistaking it.

These weren’t just any demons.

They were the three King-class powerhouses of the Inferno and Dungeon factions: Inferno Devil Malgrath, Inferno Devil Baelthar, and Red Dragon Ashendar himself.

"Tch. Sneaky bastards, the lot of you," Ashendar growled, letting out a sharp snort. Still, a flicker of unease crept into his eyes.

Then his expression darkened, and his voice dropped into a low, threatening rumble. "Alright, out with it. What the hell are you doing here? Don’t tell you finally grew a spine and decided to launch a full-scale assault?"

Ashendar had always been a hardliner—aggressive, battle-hungry, never one to sit back and wait.

But unfortunately for him, neither the younger Baelthar nor the seasoned Malgrath shared his thirst for open war.

They preferred things just the way they were—slowly bleeding the enemy dry, tornting them bit by bit.

To them, watching the so-called righteous Castle faction spiral into despair was the ultimate victory.

Pain. Chaos. Hopelessness. That was the Inferno Devils’ idea of fun.

But not his.

Too bad he was outnumbered.

He couldn’t overpower the other two, so he had no choice but to play along.

"It’s not about that," Baelthar said smoothly, his voice laced with amusent. "Ashendar, how many tis do I have to tell you? War is sothing to be savored. You really should work on refining your tastes."

He raised a goblet filled with so thick, crimson liquid—its contents unknown, but unmistakably sinister—and took a slow, elegant sip, his lips curling into a wicked smile.

"Refining my tastes? Spare the bullshit. Just tell what you’re here for. Malgrath, don’t play coy. What is this really about? Don’t tell you two got your asses handed to you by Mikael and Cain? Hah! That’d be rich—"

BOOM!

Ashendar’s massive tail slamd into the ground, sending molten rock flying in all directions.

He burst out laughing, the sound echoing like thunder across the scorched landscape.

Baelthar’s smug smile froze on his face.

"...Sigh." He let out a long breath, clearly exasperated.

But then, at last, the silent, stone-faced Malgrath finally spoke.

"Ashendar. We’re here because of the Green Dragon. You’ve heard the rumors, haven’t you?"

"The Green one?" Ashendar’s laughter cut off abruptly. He lashed his tail again, this ti in irritation. "Yeah, I’ve heard. So what? We don’t have the manpower to go after him right now. I’m not like you two—I’ve got Mikael breathing down my neck. What the hell do you expect to do?"

He glared at them both.

"Shouldn’t this be your job?"

"Assassination, ambushes—that’s your specialty, isn’t it? You slimy bastards are good at that kind of thing."

"It’s not ti for that yet," Malgrath said calmly, shaking his head. "Didn’t you recently have a Red Dragon under your command ascend to Lesser Deity? Send him. That should be enough. If the Green Dragon’s only just gone through his second awakening, he shouldn’t be a match for one of your kind, right?"

Ashendar’s expression darkened, and he roared, "Malgrath, do you take for a fool?!"

"You think I don’t know that place is the Erald Castle of Sylvanwood? Even that bastard Vorundar got wrecked in there, and now you want to send my n in to die? Keep dreaming! That’s never gonna happen!"

Malgrath was silent for a mont, then replied coldly, "If we let them grow unchecked, it’s going to be a serious problem for all of us."

"Spare the lecture!" Ashendar snapped, his voice booming like thunder. "Unless you’re sending in one of your own Crimson Ultimate Devils, forget it! I don’t care what happens—if it ans making another enemy, so be it. The Dungeon faction doesn’t fear anyone. Not even you!"

"Suit yourself..." Malgrath muttered, shaking his head.

Then, without another word, he turned and vanished into thin air, teleporting away in a ripple of dark energy.

"Well, well, well... looks like the talks fell apart," Baelthar said with a mocking chuckle, his elegant smile never leaving his face.

He gave Ashendar a little wave, then followed suit—turning and disappearing into the void with a flicker of Infernal magic.

But just before he vanished completely, a single word slipped from his lips, barely audible:

"Idiot..."

...

Solflare.

Capital of the Holy Blades Empire.

After a brutal journey filled with battles and forced marches, Ethan, Cicero, and the massive Gold Dragon army finally arrived at their destination. With eighty full units of Gold Dragons at his back—and Cicero himself clearing the path—Ethan had no trouble securing an audience with a very familiar face.

Wisdom Angel Cain.

He looked nothing like the man Ethan had t in that naless tavern, cloaked in a plain gray robe.

Now, Cain stood tall and commanding, his golden hair flowing like sunlight, his entire body radiating an overwhelming aura of pure Light Magic. The air around him shimred with divine energy, so intense it felt like stepping into a dream—or a holy realm. Just being near him made you want to kneel.

And more than anything else...

He had grown stronger. Much stronger.

"Level 81, huh..."

"If I’m rembering right, that puts him in Greater Deity territory, doesn’t it?"

"In other words... a true King-tier powerhouse," Ethan murmured to himself.

He still rembered the first ti he t Cain—back then, the guy had been level 79. Just two levels lower than now. But those two levels? They were a whole different world.

Why?

Simple.

In the world of Glory Lords X, Crimson Ultimate Heroes who originated from Tier-13 Legendary Units could undergo a second awakening at level 55, officially ascending to godhood.

From there, the divine hierarchy broke down like this:

Level 55–70: Lesser Deity

Level 70–80: Interdiate Deity

Level 80–95: Greater Deity

So now that Cain had hit level 81, he was no longer just a powerful angel—he was a full-fledged Greater Deity. That alone put him in a completely different league from his forr 79-level self. The difference between Interdiate and Greater wasn’t just a number—it was a fundantal shift in power, presence, and potential.

And Ethan could feel it.

The pressure Cain gave off now was suffocating. It wasn’t just strength—it was divinity, raw and overwhelming.

The thought made Ethan instinctively glance over his shoulder at Cicero, who stood silently behind him.

His eyes narrowed slightly, thoughts churning behind them.
