Thud!
Thud!
Thud!
...
Over on Ethan and Seraphina’s side of the battlefield, neither of them had the luxury to worry about anything else anymore.
The two of them had joined forces—two against one—and were now fully locked in a brutal clash with Malenthia. And it was only now, in the thick of battle, that they truly felt the overwhelming might of a King-tier powerhouse.
ROAR!
Seraphina lashed out with a claw, slamming the sky itself. The heavens trembled, and her power rippled outward in all directions, trying to suppress the dark energy Malenthia was unleashing.
But Malenthia just let out a cold, mocking laugh. With a flick of her terrifying black whip, she summoned wave after wave of dark storms, each one more violent than the last.
The energy radiated outward like ripples in water—layer after layer of crushing force spreading across the battlefield.
"You pathetic little worms," Malenthia sneered, her voice dripping with contempt. "You really think you can defeat ? What a joke. Let help you see the truth—see the gap between us. And then, die like the insects you are!"
"Unleash—my Hexbound Realm!"
"Devour everything, my glorious darkness! Shadows, curses—consu them all!"
ROOOOOOAR!!!
As Malenthia’s maniacal laughter echoed through the sky, Seraphina let out a thunderous roar of her own, shaking the heavens. But then—her body began to tremble violently.
Dark tendrils of cursed energy, like parasitic worms, slithered into her body, burrowing deep into her flesh.
This was the power of the dark curse.
Technically, it was still a form of magic—and Seraphina had Magic Immunity. But this curse was on a whole different level. It was so powerful, so corrupted, that even her immunity couldn’t block it.
The curse tore through her like a storm—ripping at her flesh, grinding against her bones, flooding her with searing, blood-soaked agony.
And it didn’t stop there.
Even Ethan, who was positioned diagonally across from her, suddenly felt a violent shudder run through his body.
His eyes widened as he snapped back to awareness, and his expression darkened instantly.
"What the hell? I’m not even in direct contact, and I’m still getting hit by this curse?!"
The dark energy had reached him too—and worse, it wasn’t just hurting him. It was suppressing his own power, weakening him from the inside out.
Feeling the drain, Ethan couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh.
"Damn... so this is what a real King-tier powerhouse feels like. No joke."
Honestly, after Seraphina hit level 70 and he himself reached 68, he’d started to feel a little cocky.
From his perspective, Malenthia was only a 12th-Tier unit, while he and Seraphina were both 13th-Tier. In terms of overall evaluation, he was rated C-class, Seraphina was B-class, and Malenthia? Just a ’lowly’ D-class.
And they had the numbers advantage—two against one.
So yeah, he figured it wouldn’t be that hard.
But now?
Now he realized just how wrong he’d been.
He’d underestimated what it ant to face a King-tier. He’d underestimated what a difference in class and level really ant.
This was like a Lesser Deity trying to take down a Greater Deity.
It wasn’t just hard—it was damn near impossible.
"Master..."
Seraphina suddenly rushed to Ethan’s side, her body still trembling from the curse. Without hesitation, she activated her Sacred Realm. A surge of radiant Draconic Force exploded outward, washing over both of them, trying to purge the dark curse from their bodies.
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE...
Seeing her do that, Ethan imdiately followed suit, unleashing his own Sacred Realm.
Together, their combined divine power clashed with Malenthia’s curse, pushing back the darkness.
And finally—finally—they managed to break through it.
Just then, Malenthia suddenly burst into a chilling, manic laugh.
"Ahahaha... HAHAHAHAHA!"
"You pathetic insects—did you really think my dark power could be undone that easily? How naïve. Fine then, let show you what real power looks like. Let show you what true darkness is!"
"Oh great Chaos Dragon Urghash, grant your dark might!"
"Curse, destruction, detonation, annihilation... O mighty darkness, O cursed power, unleash your true strength! Curse Detonation!"
BOOM!
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE...
The mont Malenthia’s words left her lips, both Ethan and Seraphina’s expressions changed instantly.
They could feel it—sothing was wrong.
The dark curse energy they had just worked together to purge from their bodies... was back.
No, not just back—it had reappeared out of nowhere.
And worse...
The mont it returned, it exploded inside them.
A massive eruption of black smoke engulfed them both, swallowing them whole.
The sky roared with howling winds and shockwaves, the air thick with the stench of burning magic and scorched earth.
"ROAR!"
"Master!"
Seraphina was the first to burst out of the smoke, her eyes wild with fury. She let out a feral roar and imdiately dove back into the cloud, searching for Ethan.
Then, through the haze, his voice rasped out, hoarse and coughing.
"Kh... khak... cough cough... I’m okay!"
Ethan staggered out of the smoke, his whole body trembling, pain radiating through every nerve.
His face was pale. That blast had hit harder than he ever expected.
Nearly a third of his health—gone in one strike.
Which ant... if Malenthia hit him like that three more tis, he’d be dead.
Just like that.
"Damn... she’s strong," he muttered, gritting his teeth.
There was no denying it—Malenthia was a monster.
"Master, are you alright?" Seraphina rushed to his side, her voice tight with worry. "Let stay and fight her. You don’t have to do this alone—I can handle her!"
"No." Ethan shook his head firmly. "Seraphina, I need you to go help Isaryne. Take out those orange-tier Legendary heroes—fast. You’re this close to breaking through to Interdiate Deity. I need you to reach that level now. It’s the only way we stand a chance against her."
"But—!" Seraphina started to protest, panic rising in her voice.
Ethan cut her off, his tone sharp.
"What’s wrong, Seraphina? You’re disobeying now?"
"No, Master! That’s not what I ant, it’s just—" She glanced at Malenthia, who stood like a living nightmare, radiating pure destruction. "If you face her alone, how can you possibly survive?!"
Ethan gave a faint, bitter smile. "That’s why you need to hurry. She won’t kill right away... probably. But I don’t know how long I can hold out. So it’s all on you now, Seraphina."
Seraphina’s expression twisted with conflict. She looked like she wanted to argue more—but then she saw it in his eyes.
He ant it.
He was ready to die if it ant giving her a chance.
"...I understand, Master. I’ll do my best. Just hang on for !"
Her eyes began to glow, her body trembling with power. In less than a second, her form expanded, growing larger and more terrifying by the heartbeat.
"DIE! All of you! You filthy dungeon vermin!"
The air cracked.
Space itself split open.
The power of the Sacred Realm surged through her as Seraphina transford into a colossal Green Dragon, easily tens of thousands of feet long, her wings slicing through the sky like twin blades of judgnt.
She roared, unleashing a torrent of dragonfire, her wings pulsing with raw Draconic Force. Every beat of those wings was like a hamr of the gods.
Black Dragons, Red Dragons, Shadow Matriarchs—everything in her path was obliterated in an instant.
