The mont those words rang out, both Ethan and Seraphina lit up, eyes wide with shock and joy.

"Cicero?! You’re awake? Are you... are you about to succeed?!" Seraphina blurted out, beating Ethan to the punch.

"I guess you could say I’ve reached the stage where my consciousness has fully awakened," Cicero’s voice replied, calm and steady. "The next step is physical evolution—then full bodily awakening. But I’m close. Really close. At this point, the rest should be easy. Seraphina, Master... just give a little more ti."

Hearing that, both Ethan and Seraphina were overwheld with emotion.

"Should be easy now."

"Just a little more ti."

He said it so casually—but the weight behind those words was imnse.

This ant that before long, Cicero was very likely to succeed in breaking through his racial limit—becoming sothing entirely new: a true, fully realized Hero Unit born from a 14-Tier Mythic Unit.

In other words, he was about to shed his old identity as a 13-Tier Legendary Unit Green Dragon and evolve into a 14-Tier Mythic Unit.

And that—was huge.

In the world of Glory Lords X, Tier was everything.

Tier was power. Tier was status. Tier was destiny.

And at the very top of that hierarchy, the current ceiling of power, stood the 14-Tier Mythic Units.

Which ant that if Cicero succeeded, he wouldn’t just be evolving—he’d be ascending. He’d be stepping into the sa league as the most powerful beings across all factions. The top-tier warlords. The legendary champions. The gods of the battlefield.

He’d be one of them.

Just thinking about it sent a wave of emotion crashing through Ethan’s chest. He couldn’t help it—his heart was pounding, his thoughts racing.

Cicero... was really going to make it.

"Cicero, congratulations!" Seraphina suddenly bead, her voice bright with pride and joy. "I knew you could do it. I always knew you would!"

Ethan smiled too, watching the mont unfold. Then he looked up at Cicero, his voice soft but full of warmth.

"Congratulations, Cicero."

From the mont he’d arrived in this world, Cicero, Seraphina, and Elynn had been by his side. They’d fought with him, grown with him, helped him carve out his kingdom—helped him beco the ruler of Erald Castle.

And now, he was witnessing one of the most important, most awe-inspiring monts in Cicero’s entire life.

He wasn’t proud because it benefited him.

He was proud because he wanted Cicero to beco everything he could be. Stronger. Brighter. Unstoppable.

"Master, Seraphina... I’ll stay with you both until the very end," Cicero said, his voice thick with emotion.

He wasn’t the type to say things like that often.

But right now, he had to.

"Yeah..." Ethan nodded, smiling wide. "We’ll see this through together. All the way."

Seraphina didn’t say anything. She turned her head away, her shoulders trembling just slightly.

Then—suddenly—a massive surge of energy exploded from Cicero’s body.

BOOM!

The ground shook violently. The entire Clockwork Citadel trembled with it, as if the very plane itself was reacting to the power being unleashed.

The sound was deafening. The pressure was overwhelming.

And honestly?

It was kind of terrifying.

Ethan glanced at Cicero’s status panel again.

"His evolution progress just ticked up another 1%... only 2% left."

His fists clenched instinctively, heart pounding with excitent. "It’s really happening... it’s almost done!"

But just as the words left his mouth, both he and Seraphina suddenly froze—like they’d both sensed sothing at the exact sa mont.

Seraphina turned sharply toward him, her expression tense. "Master..."

"Yeah, I felt it too," Ethan said, his brows furrowing. "There’s a fight breaking out on the surface. One of them is Auremax... and the other..."

His face darkened.

"It’s a Crimson Ultimate Hero from the Inferno faction. An Inferno Devil."

Seraphina’s eyes narrowed, her voice like ice. "Those damned bastards..."

Then she turned back to Ethan, urgency in her voice. "Master, let go check it out!"

"No." Ethan’s response was imdiate—and unexpected.

He turned his gaze toward Cicero, still wrapped in his cocoon of thunder and draconic power.

"Just in case... I want you to stay here. Wait until Cicero finishes his evolution. Once he breaks through, you both co together."

"But—" Seraphina started to protest, but Ethan cut her off.

"Seraphina, trust ."

"You know how strong I am now. I’m not saying I can beat him one-on-one, but if all I need to do is stall him? That’s easy."

He looked her dead in the eyes, voice steady and resolute.

"We’re this close. Cicero’s only 2% away from completing his evolution. We can’t risk anything going wrong now."

"And let’s be real—he’s an Inferno Devil Hero. Even if the two of us went together, could we actually kill him?"

Seraphina hesitated, her mouth slightly open. Then, slowly, she seed to understand what Ethan was really planning.

"...Master, you’re going to kill him?"

Ethan’s eyes glead coldly. "We’re not the sa Erald Castle we used to be. We’re not so weak little outpost that anyone can push around."

"So what if he’s from Inferno? So what if he’s a King-tier powerhouse?"

"If he dares to co here, he better be ready to pay the price."

"I’ll go first. You stay here until Cicero finishes evolving. Then the three of us hit him together. I’ll lock him down with Soulbind Shackles—and we’ll see how long he lasts against all three of us."

Seraphina stared at him for a mont, then slowly nodded. "Yes, Master..."

As for Cicero, even in the middle of his evolution, he didn’t hesitate to respond.

His voice echoed out, low and firm:

"Wait for ."

Whoosh!

Ethan’s figure blurred as he launched forward, instantly shifting into full combat mode. Without hesitation, he tore through the dinsional veil, racing toward the surface world beyond the Plane World.

At the sa ti—high above the land, a massive battle was already underway.

Hundreds of Gold Dragons filled the sky, their wings slicing through the air like golden blades. At the center of their formation was their commander—Auremax, the legendary Gold Dragon Lord.

And they were all locked in combat with a single, terrifying enemy:

Ignarok—a Demon King-class powerhouse from the Inferno faction. A 13-Tier Crimson Ultimate Hero Unit. A living nightmare.

The sky had darkened into night, but the battlefield blazed like midday under the sheer intensity of the Draconic Force radiating from the Gold Dragon army. Their formation had taken the shape of a colossal ring, a golden halo of fury and magic that lit up the heavens.

"ROAR!"

"ROOOAR!"

"SKREEEE!"

One after another, the Gold Dragons let out thunderous roars, their voices shaking the very clouds. Magic surged from their bodies like tidal waves, tearing through the sky and forming massive, violent storms of raw elental power.

They had Ignarok completely surrounded—layer upon layer of magical storms and draconic energy sealing off every possible escape route. It was a full-scale lockdown.

And at the eye of that storm...

Stood a monster.

A towering Inferno Devil, clad in dark crimson armor that pulsed with infernal energy. In his hands, he wielded a scythe so massive it dwarfed even the largest of dragons—its blade curved like a crescent moon, glowing with a sickly red light that reeked of death and destruction.

His eyes burned like twin infernos, flickering with chaotic fla. Black smoke coiled from his sockets, twisting and writhing like living shadows, reflecting in his blood-red pupils with a hellish gleam.

He didn’t look cornered.

He looked amused.

Like a predator surrounded by prey that hadn’t realized it yet.
