Ethan was just about to head to the lab to check on the latest progress...

BOOM—!

The sky exploded with a deafening roar.

The entire city jolted violently as the outer energy barrier shuddered under a massive impact, like it had taken a direct hit from so monstrous force.

At this rate, the shield wouldn’t last long. It was only a matter of ti before it shattered.

Ethan’s expression tightened instantly.

Without hesitation, he grabbed a dozen of his top fighters and charged out of the city.

But the mont they stepped beyond the barrier, the sight that greeted them made the air feel like it froze solid.

A massive army hovered in the skies above Erald Castle.

And at the front—eight figures.

Each one radiated a terrifying, chaotic energy that made the heart instinctively clench.

Behind them floated enormous energy projections, like echoes of so alien civilization. The pressure they gave off made the very sky hum with tension.

Ethan stepped forward slowly, steadying his breath as he activated the system scan.

Data stread in almost imdiately.

—Narlost Empire.

Just as he suspected.

"You Narlost bastards really don’t know when to quit," Ethan said, voice low and steady.

"You’ve attacked Erald Castle again and again. What the hell do you want?"

The man in front stepped forward.

He had a pair of curved horns sprouting from his head, and the tips pulsed with a strange, unsettling energy that instantly enveloped Ethan.

"Our expeditionary force," the man said coldly, "was wiped out here. By you."

"And now you dare ask what we want?"

Ethan clenched his jaw, teeth grinding audibly.

If they hadn’t fought back back then, Erald Castle would’ve been wiped off the map.

But to these people—

Their invasion was justified. His defense? A cri.

Fine.

Then there was nothing left to say.

BOOM—!

A surge of raw power exploded from Ethan’s body. His eyes locked onto the Minotaur leading the enemy.

"If we can’t talk—then we fight!"

A massive Energy Disc ford in the air, spinning with razor-sharp force that tore through the clouds as it launched straight at the enemy.

The Minotaur snorted.

Water surged around him, swirling into a massive vortex that wrapped around his body like armor.

Then he charged straight into the Energy Disc.

CRASH!

The disc shattered on impact.

But the Minotaur didn’t slow down—he ca barreling forward, the crushing pressure of water behind him, aiming straight for Ethan.

Just as he closed in—

A figure shot in from the side.

Cicero!

Power erupted from his body as he slamd a heavy blow into the Minotaur, stopping him cold.

The Minotaur finally halted.

But that strike lit a fire in his eyes.

A massive trident ford in his hands, crackling with destructive energy.

In the next instant, he brought it down—aid straight at Cicero’s shoulder...

BZZZZT—!

The mont the trident ca down, the air let out a deep, piercing hum.

It wasn’t just raw force—it carried a cold, regal pressure, like it ca from sothing far above the mortal plane.

Even as it descended, the space around it cracked like fragile glass, thin fractures spiderwebbing through the air.

This was a divine-tier weapon.

And even its ambient shockwaves were enough to shred most defenses.

But—

Cicero didn’t move.

Ever since his racial trait evolved, he’d abandoned the energy path entirely, choosing instead a brutally singular route: pure physical enhancent.

His aura wasn’t flashy, not even aggressive—but his body had been forged and tempered to an almost absurd degree.

In terms of raw physical strength, there was hardly anyone in Erald Castle who could match him.

Even these elite invaders from another civilization might not be able to take him head-on.

So when that nearly unstoppable trident slamd into Cicero—

BOOM!

The impact exploded outward.

But the expected spray of blood and torn flesh never ca.

It was like the weapon had struck a living mountain. The trident stopped cold, suspended mid-air.

Its shaft trembled violently, the divine energy coating it unraveling fast—like it was being crushed under sothing even more primal, more savage.

The Minotaur’s pupils shrank.

He clearly hadn’t expected this unassuming opponent to have a body this unbreakable.

Just as he tried to force more power into the strike—

Cicero reached up.

And grabbed the trident. Barehanded.

A second later, his terrifying physical strength surged.

CREEEAAAK—!

The sound of tal warping under pressure rang out. The trident’s shaft bent—actually bent—under the sheer force of Cicero’s grip.

BOOM!

"You’re dead!!"

The Minotaur’s roar tore through the sky.

That weapon was his soul-bound armant—tied to his strength, his will, even his spirit. And now soone had just bent it with brute force.

The humiliation sent him into a frenzy.

"If I don’t tear you limb from limb today, I swear I’ll never rest!"

As his roar echoed, a massive phantom surged into view behind him.

A colossal divine bull, forged from bloodline and godhood, stepped into the air with crushing montum and charged straight at Cicero.

But Cicero didn’t flinch.

He didn’t even step back.

He t the phantom head-on.

BOOM—!!

The two forces collided in a direct, brutal clash. The shockwave blasted outward, collapsing the ground and ripping through the air. Even Ethan was forced to take several steps back.

But neither side ca out on top.

The two figures were locked together, their powers clashing so violently they were practically fused in place—neither able to break free.

"What are you all standing around for?!"

The Minotaur roared, voice shaking with fury.

"Kill them all!"

At his command, the army behind him surged forward.

A black tide of soldiers swept toward Erald Castle, blotting out the sky.

Almost at the sa mont, Ethan raised his hand.

"All units—engage."

His voice was calm, steady, but it carried through the comms like a blade.

The energy barrier split open, and wave after wave of Erald Castle’s forces poured out, rising into the air to et the enemy head-on.

This was hatred that had been building for far too long.

And the mont the two sides clashed, they held nothing back.

Power, will, killing intent—it all erupted at once.

The battlefield was instantly consud in chaos. The scale of the fight was so massive, even Ethan was montarily stunned.

He’d expected a tough battle—but not a full-blown war.

He took a deep breath.

Then, with a low hum, a brand-new Powered Combat Armor unfolded around him.

The tal clung to his body like a second skin, energy circuits lighting up one by one. This was the lab’s latest prototype—still untested, not yet mass-produced.

Right now, he was the only one wearing it.

"Perfect," Ethan muttered, eyes narrowing.

"Let’s see how far this thing can go."
