Now reading: Chapter 977 977: Where Power Belonged from Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory, a Game novel by IvyWoods.

The instant the Stone Golem said that, Ethan's pupils snapped tight.

The white lightning inside him trembled—like sothing that had been sleeping for ages had just been stirred awake.

Infernal Primordial Power.

A primal force from the deepest reaches of the Infernal Abyss—sothing even Ethan himself still didn't fully understand.

And now this golem was saying that in a Plane World not far away… there was the sa aura.

In that mont, Ethan's heartbeat sped up on its own.

The air felt heavier.

"Where?"

His voice was low, but it carried pressure that didn't allow refusal.

The Stone Golem visibly shuddered. It could feel that power leaking from Ethan growing stronger, like it might slip out of control at any second.

"Right… here."

In a panic, it pulled a dark yellow stone tablet from inside its body. Ancient, intricate patterns covered the surface.

When it poured its aura into the tablet, the patterns lit with a faint glow. Then a three-dinsional spatial map slowly rose into the air.

It hovered like a star chart made of light.

Ethan's gaze locked onto one spot imdiately.

That region gave off a faint but unmistakable white point of light.

It wasn't a normal energy fluctuation.

It matched the frequency of the Infernal Primordial Power in his body perfectly.

The Stone Golem started to warn him, "There's an extrely powerful guard—"

Before it could finish, space tore open.

Ethan's hand shot up. Heavenly Demon Lightning burst from his palm, and white lightning sliced across the void like a blade, ripping open a spatial fissure on the spot. Space scread as it split, and a passage leading to an unknown Plane World unfolded in front of them.

He didn't hesitate.

In the next instant, he grabbed the Stone Golem and stepped into the passage.

Space snapped shut behind them.

When they appeared again, everything around them had changed.

There was no sunlight here.

No life.

The air was saturated with a suffocating, dead-silent presence.

The gray-white sky looked like a corpse that had hardened into stone. In the distance, bone-white lightning crawled soundlessly through the air. With every flicker, it felt like space was being ripped open… and stitched back together again.

Ethan slowly straightened.

The mont his foot touched this land, a familiar power answered him at once.

Infernal Primordial Power.

It was everywhere.

In the air, in the ground, even woven into space itself.

His breathing quickened.

Not from fear—

From excitent.

This was the first ti he'd ever stepped into a world made entirely of Infernal Primordial Power.

He could feel it: the power here was far purer, far more primal than what he carried inside himself.

Like this was the true source.

He lifted his hand and lightly touched the space in front of him.

Hummm—

Space responded instantly.

A spatial door made of white lightning slowly ford.

This wasn't a passage he'd forced open.

This was an entrance that was allowing him in.

Ethan didn't look back.

He stepped through.

The lightning door sealed behind him in an instant.

At the sa ti…

Outside.

Feylora had just arrived.

The mont she saw the spatial door close, the blood drained from her face.

"Master!"

She rushed forward, reaching for the spot where the door had been—but her fingers passed through nothing but ordinary air.

Nothing remained.

Others hurried over as well.

Panic spread between them.

"Is he trapped in there?"

"We have to find a way to open it!"

They tried to pour energy into the area. They tried to tear space apart.

But every bit of power that touched that region vanished like it had sunk into a deep ocean—no reaction, no ripple, nothing.

Feylora slowly turned her head to look at the Stone Golem.

Her eyes were cold.

"Tell how to open it."

The Stone Golem dropped to its knees at once.

Its voice shook, but it was full of reverence.

"Only by resonating with the power of that Plane World can you enter."

It lifted its head and spoke carefully.

"We can't go in… but Master can."

"His power… belongs there."

Feylora fell silent.

Her fingers curled slowly into a fist.

In the end, she didn't keep attacking the space in front of her.

Because she knew.

The Stone Golem was telling the truth.

At the sa ti…

Ethan was already standing inside that world.

There was no ground.

No sky.

Only endless white thunder.

Lightning flowed through space like an ocean. Every swell carried the scent of destruction—and rebirth.

And yet, when that lightning brushed against Ethan, it didn't strike him.

It only circled him.

Like subjects circling their king.

Then, all of a sudden, sothing inside his body resonated.

Four lights rose up out of him.

Nysera.

Lily.

Idra.

Auri.

Their outlines sharpened, growing solid—until they fully manifested in this world.

Nysera hovered in midair, white lightning winding around her. In her eyes was a familiar, almost affectionate light.

Idra stood quietly, her presence blending perfectly with the space around them.

Auri turned in a slow circle, her face openly shaken.

And Lily—

Lily dropped straight to her knees.

She pressed her palm down against the "ground" of this world.

The next mont, she shut her eyes.

And started to absorb.

Infernal Primordial Power surged toward her like a tide.

Color returned to her body, bit by bit.

Her aura swelled fast, climbing with every breath.

She opened her eyes and looked at Ethan, and a long-missed smile surfaced on her lips.

"This world…" she murmured.

"It's enough to restore half my power."

She rose to her feet.

Her body was no longer hazy or half-existent. She stood there as a truly independent presence.

"From now on."

She looked at Ethan, sothing complicated flickering in her eyes.

"I won't need to live inside your body anymore."

Ethan watched her quietly.

Then he let out a slow breath.

He seriously didn't want this woman hanging around inside him all the ti.

Sure, she could bring him ridiculous amounts of power—but the way she'd casually take over his body whenever she felt like it?

Yeah. That was a headache he could do without.
