When he went down to the main hall of the residence, everyone was already gathered there.
i Li, Yan Ling, Bai Zhu, Li Fen, and Kai were talking.
When Kyrian appeared, they looked at him. Kyrian spoke calmly.
"I still have a matter to resolve in the Cloud Empire."
He made a small pause.
"I will leave for a few days."
So were surprised. Kyrian continued.
"Do whatever you want in the capital."
"When I return..."
"We will depart for the Blood Court."
The four exchanged glances. In the end, i Li simply shrugged with a small smile.
In fact... That did not seem like a bad idea. Their objectives had already been completed.
Enjoying a few days in the capital before returning to the intense cultivation routine in the Blood Court seed... perfect.
After talking a little more with i Li and the others, Kyrian did not remain very long in the main hall.
The conversation quickly beca light. Kai began talking about so clandestine arenas in the capital that he wanted to visit, while Bai Zhu showed interest in so pavilions of spiritual artifacts. Yan Ling comnted about markets of rare ingredients, and Li Fen seed simply curious to explore the city.
i Li, on the other hand, simply observed everyone with a calm smile.
Kyrian quickly realized that they would be fine on their own for a few days.
Without saying anything else, he turned and climbed the stairs silently to the upper floor of the residence.
His room was still exactly as he had left it.
The open window allowed the night wind of the capital to enter. The lights of the city still shone in the distance, creating a golden sea beneath the dark sky.
Kyrian closed the door behind him. For a few monts, he simply stood in the center of the room.
The last few days had been... intense. The Coliseum, the centennial auction.
He slowly sat on the bed. His right hand rested on his knee while his eyes closed.
For now, he needed to rest. Kyrian lay down and quickly fell asleep.
Even before the sun rose, his eyes opened again. The room was still dark.
Kyrian stood up without hesitation. He calmly put on the robe of the Blood Court.
When he finished, his presence seed even colder and more controlled. Kyrian left the room in silence. The residence was still asleep.
None of the others had awakened. He did not intend to disturb them.
When leaving the mansion, the cold air of the dawn imdiately welcod him. The streets of the capital were much emptier than usual. Only a few guards patrolled the main avenues, and a few rchants were beginning to set up their stalls.
Kyrian walked calmly through the city. His destination was clear. The Circle of Clouds.
The greatest alchemical power in the entire Cloud Empire.
Although Kyrian had never dedicated himself to alchemy before, his thoughts had changed.
If he could produce pills and sell them. He would not need to be tied to any force in search of resources. That would give him a completely different kind of freedom.
It was with this thought that Kyrian walked through the capital for several hours.
When he finally arrived at the alchemical district, the sun had already fully risen. The building of the Circle of Clouds was impossible to ignore.
Alchemical symbols were engraved along the walls, and a light fragrance of spiritual herbs perated the entire air around it.
Kyrian entered. As soon as he passed through the door, a young attendant wearing light-blue clothes approached respectfully.
"Welco to the Circle of Clouds, sir. How may I help you?"
Kyrian responded directly.
"I want to buy alchemy manuals."
The attendant blinked slightly.
"What kind of manuals?"
"The best you have."
She hesitated for only a second before lowering her head.
"Please, follow ."
Kyrian was led to the upper floor of the tower. They crossed a long, silent corridor before arriving at a spacious room.
As soon as the door opened, rows and more rows of jade shelves appeared before him.
Books. Hundreds of them. So were ancient, others seed newly copied.
Manuals of techniques, records of pill formulas, and theoretical treatises about manipulation of spiritual energy and alchemical fire.
Kyrian walked slowly between the shelves. His eyes analyzed each title carefully.
So books explained the fundantals of alchemy. Others described advanced thods of refinent. There were also detailed records of hundreds of different pills.
He selected several of them. An extrely detailed introductory manual. Two books about control of spiritual flas. Three records of basic and interdiate pill formulas.
And several other books.
When he finished, the pile of books was already considerable.
The attendant quickly made the calculations.
"The total will be five thousand dium-grade spirit stones."
Kyrian did not hesitate. He took out a small storage pouch and handed over the stones.
It was expensive. Very expensive.
But he knew that this type of knowledge was an investnt.
If he learned well, those five thousand spirit stones could multiply many tis in the future.
After finalizing the purchase, Kyrian stored all the manuals in his spatial ring. Then he left the Circle of Clouds.
His next destination was in the noble district. The mansion of Duke Rong.
The trip there did not take long.
When the guards saw Kyrian, they imdiately recognized him and allowed his entry. He was led to a small pavilion in the garden.
Duke Rong was there. As well as his daughter. The conversation was brief.
Kyrian only expressed his gratitude for the pendant he had received earlier. That small artifact had been extrely useful during his stay in the capital.
The duke seed satisfied when hearing that.
"Young Kyrian, you will always be welco in this mansion." He said with a light smile.
After a few formal words, Kyrian said goodbye. He had no intention of remaining very long.
There was still one more thing he needed to do before leaving the capital.
So ti later, Kyrian arrived at one of the large stables of the city.
When cultivators entered the capital riding flying beasts, the animals were taken to appropriate places where they could rest and be fed.
Arcon had remained there since then.
As soon as Kyrian entered the stable, he found the winged horse without difficulty.
The creature imdiately raised its head. Its eyes shone.
The horse neighed loudly, clearly recognizing its owner.
Kyrian walked to him and stroked his mane.
"It has been a few days."
Arcon rubbed his muzzle against his shoulder, clearly excited.
A short ti later, Kyrian led him out of the stable.
They crossed part of the capital before arriving at the great gates of the city.
When they finally exited, Kyrian mounted Arcon.
"Let’s go."
The horse opened its enormous wings.
With a powerful beat of wings, it took flight.
The capital quickly remained behind.
The strong wind blew around them as they climbed higher and higher into the sky.
Kyrian then opened his right hand. The mark on his palm glowed faintly.
In the last few days, it had begun to burn again.
And Kyrian knew exactly what that ant.
A new natural formation had appeared sowhere nearby.
He would resolve this matter before returning to the Court.
