The next morning arrived silently at the fortress of the Blood Court.

Kyrian opened his eyes as soon as the first faint rays of light passed through the narrow stone window of his room.

He had not slept much. But he also did not need to.

His body was already accustod to short periods of rest. Since he had entered the path of cultivation, the common fatigue of normal people had beco sothing distant.

Kyrian slowly sat up in bed. His gaze fell upon the books stacked beside him.

Five basic alchemy manuals. During the previous night, he had devoured every one of them. The information was all engraved in his mind.

He stretched his shoulders slightly, feeling the joints loosen, then raised his hand. A soft glow passed through the air.

The books disappeared one by one, being stored again inside his spatial ring.

Kyrian remained silent for a brief mont. Then he made a decision. He needed a cauldron.

A true alchemical cauldron. Sothing capable of withstanding high temperatures and maintaining the stability of spiritual ingredients during refinent.

Without that... studying alchemy would be only theory. Kyrian stood up from the bed and left the dormitory.

The stone corridors of the fortress were relatively silent at that hour of the morning. So servants of the Court walked back and forth carrying trays or docunts.

As soon as they saw him, all of them bowed respectfully.

"Young Master Kyrian."

Kyrian rely nodded lightly while walking. He went directly to the top of the fortress. Dong Zhen’s office.

A few minutes later, he arrived at the large, dark wooden door and knocked twice.

"Enter."

Kyrian opened the door.

Dong Zhen was already seated behind his stone desk, analyzing so docunts.

When he raised his eyes and saw Kyrian, a slight smile appeared on his face.

"Already awake?" He asked, placing the papers aside.

"I thought you would rest more after the journey."

Kyrian shook his head slightly.

"Resting too much is a waste of ti."

Dong Zhen let out a small laugh.

"I imagined you would say sothing like that."

He rested his arms on the table.

"So... do you need sothing?"

Kyrian answered imdiately.

"An alchemical cauldron."

Dong Zhen’s eyebrows rose.

"Alchemy?"

He crossed his arms, clearly interested.

"Since when did you beco interested in that?"

Kyrian answered bluntly.

"Since I saw how much money alchemists can earn in the capital."

Dong Zhen laughed again.

"I understand, that is fair."

He stood up from the chair and walked to a large stone shelf in the corner of the office.

With a gesture of his hand, he activated a small hidden formation. The shelf trembled slightly.

Then it slid to the side, revealing a secret compartnt in the wall.

Kyrian observed in silence. Dong Zhen entered the compartnt and began rummaging through so boxes and objects stored there.

A few seconds later, he ca out carrying sothing large wrapped in a dark cloth. He placed the object on the ground in front of Kyrian.

The impact produced a heavy sound. Dong Zhen pushed the object with his foot in Kyrian’s direction.

"Take it."

"It is a cauldron that I kept for a few years."

He shrugged.

"It belonged to an alchemist who died owing a few favors."

Kyrian pulled away the cloth. The revealed object was a dium-sized cauldron.

Made of a dark tal slightly bluish in color. Its surface was smooth, but it had several marks of old use.

"It is made from an iron alloy reinforced with traces of spiritual copper." Dong Zhen explained.

"It is not one of the best... but for a beginner it should serve perfectly."

Kyrian ran his fingers across the cold surface of the tal. It was heavy and sturdy. It was enough.

He nodded slightly.

Dong Zhen smiled.

"Consider it a gift from ."

"If you truly beco an alchemist, the Blood Court will only benefit from it."

Kyrian observed the cauldron for another mont. Then he stored it in his spatial ring.

"Thank you."

Dong Zhen rely nodded.

"There is one more thing."

He sat down again.

"If you intend to start in alchemy, you will need ingredients to practice."

"I will send a servant to the nearest rchant city."

"He will buy so basic herbs for you."

Kyrian agreed.

"You will have them by the end of the day." Dong Zhen concluded.

Kyrian nodded, satisfied. Dong Zhen had resolved everything quickly. After a few more brief words, Kyrian left the office.

As he walked back through the corridors of the fortress, he passed through the central courtyard.

Bai Zhu, i Li, Kai, Li Fen and Yan Ling were already there.

They had resud their usual training.

Bai Zhu was practicing strikes with a heavy sword while Yan Ling watched.

i Li noticed Kyrian passing by.

"Good morning, Kyrian." She said, once again calling him by na.

Kyrian simply nodded and continued heading back toward the dormitory.

He entered the room and closed the door. Now... all he needed to do was wait for the herbs to arrive.

But until then... He would not remain idle.

Kyrian sat down on the floor again and took several new books out of his spatial ring.

Different from the basic manuals from the previous night... These were more advanced.

Recipes. Refinent processes. Fla control. thods for stabilizing spiritual ingredients.

He opened the first one.

And began studying again.

The hours passed slowly.

Only several hours later... A knock sounded at the door.

Kyrian opened his eyes. He stood up and walked to the door.

When he opened it, a servant was standing outside holding a small spatial bag.

The man bowed respectfully.

"Young Master Kyrian."

"The herbs that Master Dong Zhen sent to buy are all here."

Kyrian took the bag while nodding. The servant bowed again and withdrew.

Kyrian closed the door.

He opened the spatial bag and looked inside. His gaze quickly evaluated the contents.

Thousands of basic spiritual herbs. All organized. All fresh. Perfect for practice.

Kyrian placed the bag on the floor. A faint glow appeared in his hand.

In the next instant... The tal cauldron appeared in the center of the room.

Kyrian looked at it in silence.

Then he murmured calmly.

"Ti to start practicing."
