The days on the flying ship passed with an almost surreal tranquility.
Feng Yuan’s treasure cut through the skies of the Northern Territory at a constant speed, protected by the barrier of runes that blocked the cutting wind and kept the deck stable. The sun rose and set on the horizon, painting the clouds in gold, red, and purple. Below, the landscape changed slowly. Dense forests gave way to vast plains, then to snow-covered mountain ranges and, finally, to warr regions with wide rivers and deep valleys.
Kyrian spent most of his ti sitting in the sa place, eyes half-closed, ditating. Sotis, he opened his eyes and observed the horizon. Other tis, he simply remained in silence, feeling the Qi flow through the two cores within his eyes. He did not train anything openly, the space was limited, but he ntally reviewed the formations he had learned and the sequences of pill refinent. His mind functioned like a constant cauldron, processing information even at rest.
Mo Tianhai, as expected, could not stay still. On the third day, he challenged Wu Jian to exchange blows on the rear deck. The two fought with wooden swords that Feng Yuan created, generating impacts that made the ship tremble slightly. Mo Tianhai won but left with a bruise on his shoulder. On the fifth day, he tried to pull Kyrian to train but received only a calm look and a polite refusal.
"Not here. The ship is small."
Tianhai laughed and gave up but continued training alone every day, sweating under the high sun.
Long Xue spent her ti ditating or quietly talking with Mo Xia. The young woman with purple hair seed more confident than before, although she still maintained that natural shyness. i Ran sotis approached her and gave small instructions on Qi control. Shen Yu remained the quietest of all, almost always with his eyes closed, cultivating silently.
Wu Jian, with his heavy sword resting beside him, slept most of the ti or observed the landscape with a distant look. From ti to ti, he made short and direct comnts that made the others laugh.
Feng Yuan and i Ran alternated control of the ship. At night, the sect leader told old stories about past Domain Gatherings, epic battles, subtle betrayals, and youths who erged from nowhere and changed the fate of their domains. Kyrian listened attentively, recording every detail.
On the twelfth day, the climate changed.
The air beca denser, filled with natural Qi. The forests below beca older, the trees larger and more imposing, as if the world itself breathed more strongly. Feng Yuan warned.
"We are entering the outskirts of the Ancient Forest Domain. The Qi here is richer."
Mo Tianhai stood up, excited.
"Finally! I was already getting bored."
Kyrian opened his eyes fully for the first ti in hours. He felt the difference. The Qi around them was more alive. As if the forest itself was watching them.
In the following days, the ship slowed down slightly. Feng Yuan explained that the central region of the Ancient Forest Domain possessed powerful protective formations. It was necessary to approach carefully so as not to trigger automatic defenses.
On the eighteenth day, they spotted the first signs of civilization.
Tall towers of living wood rose among the treetops, connected by suspended bridges covered in glowing moss. Entire cities seed built within and around colossal trees, whose trunks had diaters larger than entire mountains. Large flying beasts crossed the sky, so with riders wearing dark green cloaks.
"We’re close." Said i Ran, standing up.
"The capital of the Ancient Forest Domain is less than half a day away."
The tension on the ship increased. Everyone felt it. Even Kyrian, who maintained a neutral expression, felt a slight anticipation. He discreetly touched his spatial ring, where he kept pills, jade plates, and his sword. Everything is ready.
On the twentieth day, at dawn, the flying ship passed through a thick layer of spiritual mist.
When the vision cleared, the spectacle appeared before them.
A colossal city stretched for dozens of kiloters, built around an ancestral tree so gigantic that its canopy seed to touch the sky. The main trunk was wide enough to contain entire palaces. Thousands of constructions of wood and green crystal floated around it, sustained by ancient formations. Suspended bridges connected floating platforms. Rivers of spiritual energy flowed like luminous veins throughout the city.
At the center, a massive floating plateau served as the main arena. There were already flying ships and platforms from various sects stationed around it. Flags from dozens of domains fluttered in the wind.
Feng Yuan slowed the ship and spoke loudly.
"We have arrived at the Ancient Forest Domain, headquarters of the Domain Gathering."
The ship descended slowly toward a landing platform designated for the sects. Other ships and flying beasts passed around, so with disciples wearing luxurious uniforms, others with oppressive auras.
Mo Tianhai whistled softly.
"This is... bigger than I imagined."
Mo Xia observed everything with attentive eyes. Long Xue clasped her hands on her lap, clearly nervous. Shen Yu and Wu Jian maintained serious expressions. Even i Ran seed more focused.
Kyrian remained seated until the ship touched the platform with a slight tremor. Only then did he stand, adjusting his black robe. His green eyes with sword-shaped pupils shone for a mont as they captured the nurous powerful presences around.
Feng Yuan stepped down first, followed by i Ran. The disciples ca next.
As soon as they stepped onto the platform, a group of disciples from the Ancient Forest Sect approached, wearing green robes with brown edges. A young man at the peak of the Core Formation received them with a polite but clearly superior smile.
"Verdant Sword Sect, welco. Please follow to your designated sector."
Feng Yuan nodded. The group began to walk.
As they moved through the floating paths of the city, Kyrian observed everything. The air was dense with Qi, the scent of ancient wood and spiritual flowers filled the environnt. Disciples from various domains passed by, so casting curious or challenging looks at the small group from the Verdant Sword.
Mo Tianhai murmured near Kyrian.
"Looks like we’re going to have plenty of fun."
Kyrian only nodded slightly, his eyes fixed ahead.
