Kyrian’s eyes widened.
ridians. The spiritual channels that allowed cultivators to absorb, store, and circulate Qi. The foundation of all cultivation.
Sothing mortals simply did not possess.
"They are not fully developed yet," the Spirit continued.
"They are different from normal ridians. Stronger. Wider. The amount of Qi that can pass through them is far greater than that of an ordinary cultivator."
"But they are still incomplete."
"As if they are still in the process of forming."
The Spirit paused. Clearly impressed.
"Even so..."
"You can now cultivate using your own body."
"Like any other cultivator."
The words echoed inside Kyrian’s mind.
Like any other cultivator.
For his entire life, he had been forced to rely exclusively on his eyes.
But now...
His own body could cultivate. His own body could sense Qi. His own body was connected to the world.
The Spirit continued observing him, his spiritual sense sweeping through Kyrian’s skeleton with ticulous attention.
Then his expression changed once again.
This ti, to pure astonishnt. His flaming eyes widened, and his mouth opened slightly.
"Your bones..."
"What happened to your bones?"
Kyrian frowned.
"What?"
"They’ve all changed."
The Spirit seed genuinely shocked, sothing rare for a being that had existed for centuries.
"I expected only the spine to be transford. I expected the Bone of the Heavens to fuse only with your vertebrae."
"But this..."
His spiritual sense traveled through Kyrian’s entire skeleton.
Every vertebra. Every rib. Every bone in his arms and legs. His skull. His pelvis. Even the small bones in his hands and feet.
All of them had changed.
"Your entire skeleton absorbed part of the essence of the Bone of the Heavens."
"Every bone in your body contains traces of the Qi of the Law of Fire."
"They are absurdly durable."
The Spirit let out a disbelieving laugh, a dry sound, almost a cough.
"I’m afraid even ordinary spiritual weapons will struggle to break your bones now."
Kyrian listened in silence.
Feeling the changes.
Feeling the gentle warmth flowing continuously through his skeleton, a warmth that did not co from outside, but from within. Burning without burning. Warming without consuming.
It was as though an invisible furnace existed inside him.
Fueling every part of his body.
But the Spirit was not finished yet.
His gaze returned to Kyrian.
"Your cultivation has advanced as well."
Kyrian imdiately focused his consciousness on his cores.
And froze.
Because it was true.
The two cores at the center of his eyes had expanded. Becoming more solid and more powerful. More refined.
"Fourth stage..." Kyrian murmured, unable to hide the surprise in his voice.
Before the implantation, he had only just entered the Core Formation Realm.
First stage.
A newcor. A beginner.
Now...
Fourth stage.
Three entire levels of advancent.
The Spirit nodded slowly.
"The amount of energy stored within that Bone of the Heavens was absurd."
"Even with part of its essence having dissipated over ti, an imnse amount still remained."
"You absorbed a massive portion of it."
Then he narrowed his eyes.
"In fact..."
"You should have advanced even further."
Kyrian raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"Perhaps sixth stage. Perhaps even seventh."
"But most of the energy was not used to increase your cultivation."
The Spirit pointed at Kyrian, his flaming hand indicating his entire body.
"It was used to rebuild you."
"To create your ridians."
"To strengthen your organs."
"To transform your blood."
"To reform your skeleton."
"To connect you to the Heavenly Will."
He paused, allowing the words to settle.
Then he smiled.
A rare smile, not one of mockery or superiority, but a genuine smile.
"Using that energy in this way was far more valuable."
Kyrian silently agreed.
After all...
Cultivation could be regained. Ti could be spent cultivating.
But that transformation?
It was unique.
No amount of ti or resources could replicate what had happened to his body during those hours of agony.
The Spirit watched him for a few more seconds.
Then slowly shook his head.
"I truly no longer know what you are."
The sincerity in his voice, the complete absence of arrogance or irony, made Kyrian laugh softly. A low laugh, almost inaudible, but real.
The Spirit continued.
"You are no longer a mortal."
"But neither are you an ordinary cultivator."
"Your body was rebuilt by a Bone of the Heavens."
"Your eyes are an existence that even I cannot comprehend."
"You are connected to the Heavenly Will."
"But your connection erged in a completely abnormal manner, not through birth, as it does for most."
The flaming eyes t Kyrian’s.
"You have beco sothing new."
Silence filled the do.
Even the magma seed to calm, as though the volcano itself were respecting that mont.
Kyrian looked down at his hands.
He felt the Qi around him, that Qi which had once been intangible, now as real as the stone beneath his feet.
He felt the warmth pulsing within his bones, the legacy of the Bone of the Heavens, the mark of the fire that would burn within him forever.
He felt the newly ford ridians running through his body like rivers, wide and resilient channels capable of carrying amounts of Qi he could never have imagined before.
And for the first ti since he was born...
He did not feel limited. He did not feel incomplete.
He did not feel different from everyone else.
Because now...
He finally possessed a path of his own. A path that belonged neither to mortals nor to ordinary cultivators.
A path that existed only for him.
Kyrian raised his eyes.
His orange eyes, with crimson flas dancing within the pupils, t the Spirit’s flaming gaze.
"There is more, isn’t there?"
His voice was calm.
"The Bone of the Heavens is not ant only to transform the body."
The Spirit nodded slowly.
"Yes."
"You still need to learn how to use it."
"The Law of Fire."
"It resides within you now."
"But understanding it and wielding it..."
"That is sothing only you can do."
Kyrian nodded.
He knew.
What he had received was not a finished power. It was a seed.
A potential.
Sothing that would need to be cultivated, understood, and developed.
It would take ti. It would take effort.
But for the first ti...
He had a body capable of enduring anything.
