Chapter 494: Third Fight of The petition

The entire field seemed to fall silent for a brief moment. The words echoed through the air, reaching the ears of both petitors and spectators.

The old man slowly smiled. A genuine smile, filled with admiration.

‘Lio Han…’ he thought, his eyes fixed on Kyrian.

‘You truly didn’t exaggerate. The boy has talent…’

While many petitors were still desperately struggling to plete a simple Rank Three pill, an unknown young man had already refined an entire batch of Qi Gathering Pills with Perfect Purity.

The audience gasped as they heard the announcement. Every eye turned toward Kyrian, evaluating him, trying to understand who that young man with violet eyes was.

“Perfect Purity?” One spectator’s eyes widened.

“That’s extremely rare!”

“Even for Rank Three.” Another nodded.

“Perfect Purity means there wasn’t a single bit of waste. Every gram of the ingredients was fully utilized.”

“Who is that boy?”

“I’ve never seen him before.”

“Could he be from the Association?”

“No, I don’t recognize his robe.”

Kyrian, pletely indifferent to all the attention, calmly stored his pills inside a small jade bottle. There was no pride in his eyes, only the satisfaction of a job well done.

In the end, the preliminaries concluded quickly. Around 710 people had passed, a number close to what the old man had predicted.

Kyrian had obviously advanced with his Perfect Purity pills. His name had already been recorded among those who qualified, his table marked for the next stage.

Several young and old alchemists tried to speak with him. They approached with smiles, hoping to befriend him, perhaps expecting to learn something from the unknown prodigy.

“Young man, your talent is incredible!”

“Who trained you?”

“Would you like to exchange knowledge about alchemy?”

Kyrian merely responded with short, polite answers. There was no rudeness in his replies, but neither was there any invitation for a longer conversation.

“Thank you. I’m busy,” he said, giving a slight bow.

“I have to go.”

And he truly was busy. The alchemy petition had ended, but his day was far from over. He still had another petition to attend, the petition for those in the Core Formation Realm.

Kyrian felt a chill run through his stomach, not from fear but from anticipation. He was eager to fight.

This petition, this battle, would be different from every other one he had participated in so far.

It would be the perfect opportunity to finally consolidate the cultivation of his Third Mirrored Eye. The technique he had created during his training, which he had yet to fully master.

Kyrian quickly walked out of the alchemy area, leaving behind the petitors who were trying to get his attention.

The sun continued climbing through the sky, bathing the Sky Caravan in its golden light.

Kyrian left the area reserved for the alchemy petition without looking back.

The murmur of the spectators gradually faded as he walked among the countless arenas spread across the plain.

The heat of the alchemical furnaces soon gave way to the metallic clang of colliding weapons, explosions of Qi, and shouts echoing from the bat platforms.

The farther he walked, the more intense the atmosphere became.

Cultivators of all ages hurried between one arena and another. Some carried swords on their backs, others spears, axes, or bows. Many were already wearing light armor, prepared to enter battle at any moment.

Colorful banners marked each petition sector.

A few minutes later, Kyrian arrived at a large registration pavilion.

Numerous officials weled the participants, checking their medallions and directing each petitor toward their assigned arena.

Kyrian approached one of the tables.

Silently, he handed over his medallion.

The middle-aged man took it, quickly scanned a jade list, and gave a slight nod.

“Core Formation Realm petition…”

He ran his finger down the list for a few seconds before finding the name he was looking for.

“Kyrian.”

The official raised his head.

“Your next match will be held in Arena Number Ten.”

He pointed toward the eastern end of the plain.

“There’s still a little time before it begins.”

Kyrian nodded.

“Understood.”

He stored the medallion once again and calmly headed in the indicated direction.

As he walked, dozens of arenas could be seen operating simultaneously.

In some, two cultivators exchanged blows so quickly that they left afterimages in the air. In others, swordsmen tested their strength while protective formations absorbed the shockwaves produced by their attacks.

Every few seconds, applause and exclamations erupted from different directions.

Finally…

Arena Number Ten appeared before him.

It was a massive circular platform of black stone, elevated several meters above the ground and surrounded by a powerful translucent spiritual barrier.

Grandstands surrounded the entire arena, already filled with spectators waiting for the next battles to begin.

Kyrian walked toward the area reserved for participants.

That was when something caught his attention.

A familiar presence entered the corner of his vision.

“Hmm?”

Instinctively, he turned his head toward the stands.

Several rows above…

A huge man with a thick beard and broad shoulders sat calmly among the spectators.

Sun Luguo.

‘Hmm? Master Sun really came to watch me fight…’

A faint smile appeared on Kyrian’s face.

He discreetly raised one hand in greeting.

As soon as he saw the gesture, Sun Luguo broke into a huge grin.

Without the slightest hesitation, he stood up, pletely ignoring the looks around him, cupped both hands around his mouth, and shouted.

“KYRIAN!”

His thunderous voice echoed throughout the entire arena.

“GOOD LUCK!”

The sheer power of his voice caused even several cultivators in the neighboring arenas to turn and look in that direction.

For a brief moment… the entire Arena Number Ten fell silent. The spectators all turned simultaneously toward the enormous blacksmith.

“Hey… isn’t that Sun Luguo?”

“The greatest blacksmith in the Sky Caravan?”

“What’s he doing here?”

“Is he… cheering for that boy?”

“Who is that young man?”

“Do you know him?”

“I’ve never seen him before.”

“If Sun Luguo personally came to watch his match… then that young man is certainly no ordinary person.”

Even some of the petitors waiting for their own battles turned their eyes toward Kyrian, quietly evaluating him.

Kyrian simply gave a slight bow in his master’s direction. Then he calmly turned his attention back to the arena.

Regardless of how many people were watching… his next battle would begin soon.
