Now reading: Chapter 1012 1006: Luna from Mystic Overlord: Reading Gives Strength, a Fantasy novel by Lost Solar Sail.

"Oh?"

Upon hearing such an evaluation from the young girl's mouth, Ronald raised an eyebrow.

— He was intrigued!

The book Ronald was holding was indeed an ancient to describing the magical city of Moralis, and this city had quite an interesting nickna — [Lachmont].

It was that city which once rose on the sea and then mysteriously vanished.

It was also the birthplace of the great mage Ormont.

The book in Ronald's hand detailed the achievents of that city in many aspects.

For example, creating a system where most people could be educated and courageously abolishing the slave system — actions regarded as great societal reforms, even sowhat ahead of their ti, and not quite in line with the current societal norms.

Due to these reasons, information about this city is currently well-concealed.

The young girl before him.

Just by reading a description, she inferred that this was a book recording [Lachmont].

This was sowhat beyond the ordinary.

At this mont, Ronald couldn't help but feel a bit curious.

Though from her attire, it was evident that the girl ca from a well-off family and was also a Caster. However, to have access to such secretive information, her actual identity might be more mysterious than it seed.

Thinking briefly, Ronald imdiately probed with a question:

"Child, do you know about [Lachmont]?"

"I'm not a child!" The young girl was a bit annoyed by Ronald's questioning and, stamping her foot, solemnly introduced herself, "My na is Luna, and I have a na. I'm a lady eligible to attend social gatherings!"

"..."

Hearing the young girl's sowhat spoiled self-introduction, Ronald looked at her with a puzzled expression.

Though she claid to be an adult.

In Ronald's eyes, there was no way the girl was seventeen or eighteen years old.

"I'm already fourteen!" Luna seed to sense Ronald's doubts and imdiately puffed her chest, speaking loudly, "In every family in Nix, this is an age when one can stand independently!"

"Is that so?"

Seeing her so confident, Ronald scratched his head and admitted his mistake.

Indeed, he was a bit hasty.

Even on Earth, different regions have varied interpretations of adulthood, let alone in this relatively underdeveloped otherworld civilization. Compared to so even less developed areas, fourteen being considered adulthood is indeed quite conservative and entirely plausible.

Having sorted this out in his mind, Ronald didn't dwell on Luna's age anymore and continued the conversation:

"So, back to our earlier topic, do you know about Lachmont?"

"Isn't Moralis just another na for Lachmont?" Luna imdiately responded. The girl seed dismissive of the question, crossing her arms and holding her head high with pride, "I've read about that city, even the book you're holding, five or six years ago!"

After saying this, Luna seed to recall sothing significant.

She then scrutinized Ronald with a aningful gaze for a few seconds, and after so thought, she continued:

"Speaking of which, about a month ago, I heard that over in Irene, they discovered an original to that once belonged to Lachmont. People from the [Twelve Witches' Council] and the [Dawn Spell Society] even had quite a dispute over it. Are you perhaps reading these kinds of books because of that news? This isn't sothing an ordinary Caster should get involved in, so I suggest you be cautious."

In her few words of caution, Luna's concern for Ronald was evident.

However, what shocked Ronald more was what the girl said.

He didn't expect Luna to utter details he wasn't aware of. His previous assumptions about her identity might have underestimated her; Luna's upbringing was certainly not from an ordinary elite class!

And speaking of which.

The original to discovered a month ago in Irene — isn't that the [Plant Hybridization Experint] currently in Ronald's hand?

This thing was evidently an original to owned by Lachmont hundreds of years ago and happened to resurface now...

"I have quite so confidence in my own abilities." After quickly organizing his thoughts, Ronald continued, "Do you know anything else about Lachmont?"

"Hey, I'm seriously warning you!" Luna directly got angry when Ronald continued to inquire about Lachmont.

The girl walked around to stand directly in front of Ronald, grasping the armrests of his chair, and leaned her face close with an extrely serious expression, saying,

"These things aren't sothing that your confidence alone can change!"

"You don't understand. Such matters could provoke the original holders, those powerful beings who, if they drag you into conflict, won't leave you any ti to react."

"..."

Ronald was montarily stunned; he didn't expect the girl to care so much about him.

But thinking it over carefully.

He really didn't have any solid reason to delve deeper into this matter.

So Ronald quickly flashed a conceding smile and told Luna,

"Alright, alright, I won't ask anymore, back to reading."

Only then did Luna stand upright, nodding in satisfaction:

"That's more like it!"

"..."

Following that, Ronald genuinely started to read again seriously.

He wasn't joking with Luna; he really thought without much to discuss, it's better to make the most of the ti to read books.

That is truly the best way to enrich the spirit.

Confronted with Ronald's direct behavior, Luna was stunned.

She hadn't anticipated that after expressing her feelings nurous tis, the man before her would still treat her with such a nonchalant attitude.

For a mont, Luna felt quite frustrated.

But there were also so other emotions and concerns mixed in.

The girl paced back and forth in the inn room for several minutes before finally hardening her face and returning to stand in front of Ronald, then softly said in a nearly inaudible voice:

"Na, na..."

Ronald was brought back to reality by Luna's call.

But he had been reading so intently earlier that he didn't hear what she said, and now his expression was a bit puzzled:

"What did you say just now? I didn't catch that?"

"Na." At Ronald's clueless expression, Luna's face turned red imdiately, and then, as if surrendering, she shouted, "I an your na!"

"I've already introduced myself, and you now know my na."

"Now, it's your turn to tell yours!"
