The so-called [Anluo Island] Governnt Center is actually just a two-story building.
Although compared to other buildings in the city, the architectural style here is a bit more serious and dignified. But judging from the size of the building itself, this governnt center is indeed not large in scale.
The developnt of countries in the Southern Hemisphere is limited by this, so it can only be this way.
Ronald quickly accepted this reality.
Then he turned to look at Gwendolin beside him, with a tone of slight dissatisfaction:
"So your plan to bring here to stop the evil cult magicians is just to go inside and negotiate?"
"Of course not!" Gwendolin shook her head decisively and then offered her even more expedient idea, "With you here, why not just blow it up?"
"..."
Ronald was silent.
Seeing Ronald's gaze, Gwendolin leaned over with a cheeky smile and said:
"Ronald, these are evil cult magicians, you know!"
"If you take them out now, then there's no one to carry out the plan against [Graid], wouldn't that solve everything?"
"..."
"I've been pondering sothing since just now."
After maintaining eye contact with Gwendolin for a while, Ronald finally continued:
"I know you're not human, so there are bound to be differences between us. I tried to understand your behavior logic through past experiences, but found it didn't fit."
Though Ronald's words weren't particularly friendly, Gwendolin appeared very pleased and even nodded proactively, urging:
"Mm-hmm, and then?"
Ronald intensified his tone:
"Then, just now, I think I understood."
Gwendolin's gaze was filled with anticipation:
"What did you understand?"
Ronald continued:
"Indifference, it's an indifference to life, and even to yourself."
"You have a strong sense of purpose, but in your pursuit of your goals, you lack normal dedication and respect towards the world. It's like a childish naivete, reminiscent of kids pouring hot water on ants."
Ronald's words were actually not entirely accurate.
His true sensation was that Gwendolin had an air reminiscent of a ga player wantonly wreaking havoc in a video ga.
Unchecked, straightforward in obsession, everything else deed unimportant.
This behavioral approach, when applied to reality, made soone following such logic arguably the most terrifying kind!
And then, Gwendolin laughed.
Clap clap clap—
She even proactively applauded Ronald's reasoning and then offered words of praise.
"Mm-hmm, you're absolutely right!"
"I'd heard before we t that you, Ronald, are particularly clever, and seeing you now, it's all true."
Afterwards, Gwendolin inched closer to Ronald.
With their eyes eting, faces nearly brushing against each other, she asked in an inquisitive, curious tone:
"So, are you planning to tear up the contract we just signed and eliminate here as a dangerous elent?"
"..."
"Not at all, and I don't intend to use the thod you suggested of simply killing everyone here." Ronald denied Gwendolin's inquiry.
At this, Gwendolin's tone beca disapproving:
"Ronald, this isn't efficient at all."
"Didn't you say before that you have important business to attend to in [Rooney Kingdom]?"
After her words fell, Gwendolin took a step back.
She distanced herself from Ronald, her tone clearly expressing disappointnt over sothing.
"Such a soft approach won't stand a chance at eradicating the cult magicians."
Ronald's gaze remained unwavering, his inner resolve unshaken:
"I will use my own thods to achieve my goal, rather than let—"
"Ah! Isn't this Mr. Ronald?"
Just as the atmosphere between Ronald and Gwendolin grew tense, a voice sounded nearby, full of delight.
It was from the [Anluo Island] Governnt Center.
An office worker in uniform erged from the main entrance, catching sight of the two.
Upon hearing the voice, Ronald's attention shifted, imdiately sensing the other's eerie magic power.
He didn't even need to turn to confirm; he knew this was an evil cult magician.
Shortly thereafter, the cult magician approached rapidly. Like others Ronald had encountered, this individual harbored a strong affinity for Ronald, and even their conversational tone trembled slightly.
"Have you co to [Anluo Island] in preparation for heading to [Rooney Kingdom]?"
"To be candid, during several of our gatherings, Lord Bapulor ntioned you frequently and missed you very much. This ti, we can finally fulfill the lord's expectations!"
"..."
Ronald succinctly said:
"I do plan to visit [Rooney Kingdom], but before that, I have matters to discuss with you all."
"No problem, anything can be discussed!" The cult magician responded swiftly.
Once Ronald spoke, he promptly abandoned his original purpose for stepping out, and focused all his attention on Ronald.
"In that case, Mr. Ronald, please co inside."
"Although the [Anluo Island] Governnt Center might not et your standards, it's already quite a decent building in the entire area."
The cult magician, extending his invitation, quickly retreated back through the Governnt Center's doors.
Ronald nodded to him, but didn't follow imdiately—his gaze instead lingered attentively on Gwendolin.
"..."
"Is sothing wrong?"
During the short exchange between Ronald and the cult magician, Gwendolin's expression had reverted to its initial state. Noticing Ronald's gaze now, she feigned bewildernt, asking:
"Since you have your own ideas, Ronald, why not proceed with them?"
This prompted Ronald to continue:
"If I'm not mistaken, your initial introduction suggested you escaped from [Rooney Kingdom]?"
"My existence is highly classified!" Gwendolin replied indifferently with a wave of her hand, "The evil cult magicians here on [Anluo Island] aren't privy to my existence or to my escape."
Ronald probed further:
"So still intend to accompany to [Rooney Kingdom]?"
Gwendolin promptly responded:
"Well, I haven't really decided yet."
"However, if you sincerely wish it, I have no issue accompanying you. After all, if I managed to escape once, I can surely do so again!"
"..."
Regarding Gwendolin's attitude, Ronald neither confird nor denied.
He simply cast a deep glance at her before turning and walking into the governnt center.
And behind Ronald.
Gwendolin followed in, smiling cheekily.
The girl's deanor was unchanged from when they first t, as well as from their earlier walk.
Not a trace of hesitation was visible.
