Now reading: Chapter 116 Fatal Flaw from Mystic Overlord: Reading Gives Strength, a Fantasy novel by Lost Solar Sail.

This fellow...

Looking at the man before him, it was clear he could no longer rise.

Helplessly shaking his head, Ronald turned his gaze in the direction the man had indicated.

—It was an ordinary wardrobe.

Made entirely of wood except for the hinges, its surface bore nothing special or noteworthy.

Ronald hadn’t yet reached the point of casually pulling open the wardrobe doors himself.

Instead, with a wave of his hand, the sprawling black mist moved forward to yank the doors open for him.

Imdiately, everything inside was exposed.

Atop layers of clothing lay a Magic Book shrouded in black mist.

Ronald instinctively thought this was not an original.

Since he already possessed three originals and considered himself sowhat knowledgeable about such things, this Magic Book did not feel like the sa type of item.

What on earth was this thing that had driven a researcher insane and turned the blacksmith into the state he was now in?

With questions in his mind, Ronald approached the wardrobe.

Protected by the originals, he felt he wouldn’t end up like the paralyzed blacksmith lying behind him with just a glance.

However, at the mont Ronald stopped,

a man’s hysterical shout ca from behind him:

"Ah ah ah!"

With a swift motion, Ronald dodged to the side.

Almost imdiately, the blacksmith who had charged from behind crashed headfirst into the wardrobe.

The force of his impact was so strong that even the doors splintered into pieces, along with the clothes and the Magic Book behind them, scattering ssily on the floor.

Ronald imdiately stepped back to create distance.

anwhile, the blacksmith struggled for a few monts before standing up from the ground.

His movents had freed themselves from the slow and brutal actions of a mont before.

Given the distance between them, Ronald clearly saw that the previously weak eyes of the blacksmith were now filled with blood vessels, showing no trace of reason or humanity.

"Ah—"

Ronald sighed.

He had known this wouldn’t be so easy to resolve.

Fortunately, he had always been on guard.

Otherwise, with that lunge from the blacksmith, even soone slightly weaker might have lost the ability to resist.

Of course, this situation did clarify many things.

At least, it let him know that the ntal state of the blacksmith when they had engaged earlier must have been like this.

Ronald didn’t say much more, the black mist transford from "Fury" imdiately entangled the opponent, planning to restrain this enemy first.

However, this proved ineffective.

The blacksmith broke through the black mist’s obstruction and charged at Ronald once again.

"Ha?"

Ronald turned again to dodge the irrational human.

It was at that mont Ronald realized the severity of the situation.

Normally, the powers of "Divine Cody" would manifest based on human actions, with the power of the sin "Fury" corresponding to a person’s degree of uncontrollable anger.

But now, this fellow had completely lost his self-will.

Forget about being angry—he was entirely consud by madness!

Therefore, facing this insane blacksmith, the black mist ford from the sin "Fury" could only physically slow the opponent’s movents temporarily, unable to affect him in any other way.

It really was unfortunate...

With a mindset of trying despite little hope, Ronald reluctantly pulled out a handgun from his bosom and, more decisively, fired two shots at the blacksmith who had just turned around.

Bang bang—

The gunshots sounded, but the blacksmith continued his charge as if nothing had happened.

It was proven that traversing through this would not cure the problem of missing shots.

Not to ntion it was rapid firing during such a hasty mont.

Ronald’s both shots missed!

"Ah!"

This ti, collapsing to the ground, the blacksmith began to shout again.

Having lost his mind, the gunshots didn’t frighten him; his pupils, completely reddened, locked tightly onto Ronald before lunging at him again, but he suddenly swung his arms.

Clang clang—

Right in front of Ronald, the blacksmith’s skin and bones arms twisted and transford into the shape of a blade and a hamr.

After the previous two failed attacks.

The insane blacksmith instinctively used a spell.

He then continued to launch a direct attack at Ronald!

Ronald’s mind was still clear, and he understood that he was not the kind of monster who could physically resist swords and blades.

He leaped mightily to dodge the opponent, imdiately turned around, and then kicked fiercely at the guy’s back.

Seeing the blacksmith’s head hit the wall, Ronald quickly summoned the original text. Although the power of "Fury" couldn’t take effect, this blacksmith certainly t the criteria for "violent" behavior!

"This mont, please gaze into the abyss.

The river of blood is right before your eyes...

Damn it!"

Ronald had just begun to recite when the blacksmith, having turned around, lunged at him again.

Facing the fiercely swirling blade, he could only passively dodge.

Ronald’s biggest weakness was undeniably exposed.

—The cast ti was too long.

With the current situation, the power of the "Divine Cody" could completely subdue the blacksmith the mont he attacked.

The power of the river of blood would cook the person; what else could he do?

However, the problem was that Ronald couldn’t recite it.

On one side was the blacksmith whose hands had already transford into weapons, and on the other was poetry too lengthy to be spoken swiftly.

At this mont, Ronald wished he had the ability to speak quickly.

Preferably the kind that could recite the entire "Divine Cody" in an instant!

Unfortunately, reality was cruel.

At least now, Ronald didn’t have that ability.

Helplessly, he directed the black mist to wrap layer by layer around the blacksmith, at least hindering the opponent’s pursuit.

anwhile, Ronald himself ran straight to the living room.

Quickly scanning the area, he directly grabbed a chair beside the dining table and smashed it down.

Snap—

Striking the blacksmith hard, the hand Ronald used to grasp the chairback trembled in pain.

At that mont, he felt sowhat thankful to the carpenter he had just visited.

The chair made by the person involved in the mystical side was of really good quality; solid wood hitting the enemy, and the blacksmith instantly collapsed to the ground.

Moreover, in this mont, Ronald also vaguely heard the sound of the guy’s bones breaking.

Snap snap snap—

Without any intention of showing rcy, Ronald struck the blacksmith several more tis.

Until the guy stopped moving entirely, Ronald then took out the original text and recited:

"This mont, please gaze into the abyss.

The river of blood is right before you.

It boils and cooks those who commit violence.

Ah! Blind greed and mad rage,

Compel them to commit such sins in their fleeting lives,

Now they soak in sorrow, eternally tornted in the scalding blood!

..."

The black mist spreading in the room then changed its nature.

Once this black mist enveloped the blacksmith, Ronald suddenly realized sothing.

—In his river of blood in Hell.

—The soul of the first sinner had appeared.
